In a Nutshell
1. How can we help to avoid water scarcity in our society and country?

We can help by developing water filtration systems because it’s one thing to have access to
water, it’s another to have access to water that is safe to drink. We can also protect wetlands,
improving irrigation efficiency and increasing water storage in reservoirs.

2. Explain the sayings that “Water is Life”

Fresh water is necessary for the survival of all living organisms on Earth. Our bodies are made up
of about 60% water and we cannot survive more than a few days without it. Water is a precious
substance that meets our physical needs while at the same time being of great spiritual
importance to many people.

3. Based on the parameters that NCR and Region IV-A are in an absolute scarcity. What are the
factors that affected in their water supply that we all know Philippines has an abundant water.

Some of the factors that effect their water supply when the Philippines have abundant water are
the cause of El Nino, pollution and lack of new water resource. In El Nino, it has extreme surge
of heat that may cause to the water evaporates more and may result to drought. When in
drought, water becomes lesser and it will have lower supply of water in the area. In pollution,
there are waters that are contaminated and not edible to drink or to take a bath; it causes
diseases and infections to the body.
