For this assessment, you are to be observed on 3 separate occasions (2 observations by your
assessor, and 1 observation by your workplace supervisor). For this assessment, you will need
to facilitate the empowerment of older people in a workplace or simulated environment.
1. For this task you are required to responded to the goals and aspirations of at least 2
older people, 1 in a simulated environment and 1 in the workplace, by:

5 How would your attitude affect the way you work with older people?
The disempowerment dynamics in older people are complicated, but the consequences are obvious.
To old age T he stigma attached causes older people in particular, to be excluded from community
and its decision-making processes and prohibits them from exerting any impact on health and social
care.
Positive,active and health Aging (AHA) is defined as the method of improving wellbeing,
commitment, and safety opportunities in aims to enhance the quality of life. Rowe and Kahn's
Adequate Aging model is the approach most commonly used to calculate AHA..

those in younger adults. The saying "you can't teach new tricks to an old dog" is a fallacy.

Myth #3: It's too late to adjust if you are still old.
The systematic conviction that a group or individual has even less social worth than others is social

successes.

Why is it important for older people to be given the responsibility of directing their

Because old people needs full attention and care and as they are week mentally as well as physically
so that why for their daily rotinue they need someone who can take care of them and help them in
doing differnt works
The duty of care is specifically defined as a moral obligation to always perform in the best interests
of persons and others. Do not behave or fail to treat yourself in a way that causes harm. Act
throughout any jurisdiction and should not undertake on something you really not feel you can really
do safely.
Personal treatment, for example, getting out them from bed, showering, washing and control
the medicine timing.
Household assistance, such as laundry, preparing of meals for them
Career support: For 4 hours or more, the one who stays with them and takes care of them
every day .
At home, facilities to assist with your defense .

If you recognise that an older person's rights are not being upheld, who should you

Wouldn't disregard it. Help make sure the acts are mindful of the interests and desires of the older
citizen. Call emergency services whether there's an imminent danger of harm (see Emergency safety)

Psychological: any behavior or remark that triggers emotional pain, anxiety, lowered self-

Bones: Older people can be fragile that had brittle bones. significant injury, lack of autonomy,
paralysis and even death may be also happened .
Hair: Ageing is commonly associated with hair loss and greying. By age 50, receding hairlines and
smoothing of the hair are predominant.
Skin: At the age of 40 or 50, Age patches and lines are apparent and the skin is less elastic. In the
arms, face and neck, lines and stretch marks are most prevalent.
