CONCEPT PAPER ABOUT

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS

I. Introduction

As humans we should be aware that Mental health is very important like Physical health,
this amid of pandemic a lot of people are suffering from mental illness and some of it just got
worsen because of self isolation, as we all know depression is one of the most common mental
illness every year and depressed people usually feel empty, hopeless, anxiety and they're also
suicidal or more likely they often think suicidal thoughts that can lead anyone to death by killing
themselves. This is just one of the main reason why we should be aware of our mental health but
not only ours but also other's, we should always make people around us feel safe, cared and
lovable as much as possible with or without mental illness. That's why we made a campaign
called "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" and "Speak Yourself" campaign where we can ensure that
everyone that will participate will feel free to say their thoughts without anyone judging them,
we will guide them based on what they need and this campaign is open for everyone who wants
to participate. Let's take care of ourselves with getting enough sleep, enough food to eat and also
by working out to clear out our minds. Our campaign will not just focus on depression but also in
some mental illness, how to recover from it and how to take care of ourselves properly.

II. Purpose

This campaign will make everyone to be more aware and educated about Mental health and
illness. It will help every single person to take care of themselves especially those who are
suffering from mental illness already, it will help them to recover or heal. Also this campaign
aims to reduce deaths from suiciding aside from that we also want to make people to speak
themselves. Just like our campaign name "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" we want to tell everyone
that no one is really perfectly fine and it's ok because we're just humans.

III. Description

This Campaign will be more likely consist of teenagers who are very prone to mental
illness such as "Mood disorder", "Anxiety disorder", "Eating disorder" and "Trauma related
disorder" but of course everyone is welcome to join our campaign, everyone can participate. At
first we really plan to rent a room for gathering but then we remember that we're in the middle of
pandemic and gathering are strictly not allowed so we decided to just make a social media
account or page for this program where everyone can message us anytime they want, they can
either share their stories or seek for help and answers at the same time. Our page can serve as
their diary, journal or whatever they want to call it as much as they're comfortable and feel
better, also they can decide if we can post it to inspire people or not, along with posting it they
can also decide if they will remain anonymous or not. One of the best part of this campaign is
that we will never judge you or anyone who will message us, we will be understanding and reply
especially if needed but we can also just read it for you or listen to you. This program will last
until the next generation, we will never stop caring about everyone's Mental Health.
IV. Support

Here is the best part in our campaign, we don't need any budget since it is only based on

social media.
