EMPLOYMENT VACANCY
The Kipipiri National Government Constituency Development Fund Committee (NG-CDFC) is inviting applications
from qualified, experienced, dynamic and highly motivated candidates to fill the following position in its office based
at Miharati:
The Clerk of Works at the NG-CDF office will be responsible to the Fund Account Manager (FAM) for the following
duties: -
Ensure that correct materials and workmanship are used as per the client’s Standards, specification and
schedules
Familiarize with all the relevant drawings and written instructions, checks and uses them as yardstick for
inspection of works.
Make regular inspection visits to projects sites to monitor progress of ongoing works.
Take measurement and samples on sites to ensure that the work and the materials meet the specifications and
quality standards
Is familiar with legal requirements and ensures that the works complies with the law.
Has a working knowledge of health and safety legislation and point out any observed shortfall.
Keep detailed records on progress and any delays, the number and type of workers, employed, visitors to the
site, drawings received, deliveries, instructions and any serious deficiencies in health or safety requirements
observed on site.
Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the Fund Manager
A minimum of a Diploma in Building and construction, Engineering, quantity survey, or its equivalent from a
recognized training institution.
A minimum of C (Plain) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
An understanding of the Building industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, methods and legal
requirements.
For appointment to the above mentioned position, the candidate must also be in possession of the following
qualifications:-
Be a Kenyan citizen
Be of high integrity and with no criminal record and hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya
Police.
Competent in oral and written presentation both in English and Kiswahili.
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on leadership and integrity.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good interpersonal skills.
A competitive salary package will be offered to the successful candidate on a three-year renewable contract subject to
performance. The employee will be responsible to the NG-CDFC through the Fund Account Manager.
