INTRODUCTION
A REPORT ON FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PROJECT

Proposal For Major Community Project:

Introduction: -
This project is our major project related to our subject family and
community development. The concept of this project is to help
unprivileged children so that they can easily feel that they are also
a part of our society. This macro project solved this problem by
providing new school bags and stationery to the 20 children which
proved to be fruitful for them. Children felt happy and also
improved their confidence in other aspects. The purpose of thsi
project was to not let them feel pity for themselves. We made sure
that they feel loved and provided warmth and support to school
going children. Families without adequate income face hardship
like hunger issues, poor housing conditions, lack of health care,
foregone doctor visits and more. Poverty reduces a child’s
readiness for school because it leads to poor Physical health and
Motor skills, diminishes a child’s ability to concentrate and
remember information and reduced attentiveness, curiosity and
motivation. This activity motivates people towards charity. We
gave the bags and stationary to the children who needed it most.
Those kids went to school but they did not have school items. The
purpose of our charity was to meet the school needs of the
children. Children consider themselves part of society just like any
other children of their age. We bought new school bags and
stationary for the kids. In addition to these items, we also bought
them new clothes and toys for their entertainment. The children in
the shelter were those whose parents had died or those whose
parents could not afford the expenses of their child. We did our
best to help the children who need it the most.
OBJECTIVES:
 To promote the concept of sharing.
A REPORT ON FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PROJECT

 Helping poor school going children.

 Increase the spirit of education in poor children.
 To create an environment of care and compassion for children.
Significance:
The major significance of this project is when you choose to give, you
may not realize that donating to Charity will do more than just help your
favourite cause, giving can also provide you with many personal
benefits. Helping others promote feeling of happiness. Giving school
bags to children will inspire them to go to school. As you take care of
your children’s school supplies, you should take care of others in need.
In this way poor child may develope interest in going to school. These
children are the future of our country and education is the only way to
develop our country and charity is the only way to lessen the amount of
poverty in our society.

CHAPTER 2
LITERATURE REVIEW
A REPORT ON FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PROJECT

This article is written by a student of University of London named

Lucky Koss back in October, 2019. He named his article as “ A visit to
the orphanage”. The writer tells about his visit to an orphanage as a
volunteer while his stay in Morocco. In his article he shared his
experience before visiting the orphanage . he says in America
orphanages were not so supported and encouraged by the government
and even in his higher schools , in one of his subjects he studied about
how mentally unhealthy children are treated.
Before visiting the orphanage he had a lot of illusions made in his
mind. Either children out there would even like him or not, what if the
kind of orphan children he studied back in high school came out to be
same in reality. Will he by his own self will ever wish to come here
again.
He says he stepped in that orphanage with a lot of doubts roaming
in his mind but he was pretty satisfied with all the management that took
place in that orphanage. At enterance he was welcomed whole heartedly,
the orphanage was flooded with green plants in one corner and chirping
of birds added to their beauty even more. The children were running
from one room to other and had round bellies and bright eyes. He was
then taken to a morrocon lady in babies section he was asked if he wants
to help them in feeding babies and the writer nodded and helped them as
much as he can.
He was then taken to the infants ‘s lounge where he found another
fellow volunteer partner. They both were left alone in the room to take
care of the children. He held two babies in his arms one of them was a
little cute girl with bright eyes and curly hair, the girl named as Sawaila.
He spent hours playing , knotting laces and tickling laughing
babies. At the time when he was about to leave a lot of questions and
doubts started roaming in his mind about the children in orphanage. The
questions were:
A REPORT ON FAMILY AND COMMUNITY PROJECT

1) What kind of family will adopt these innocents?

2) Will they ever get love of their parents?

3) Who will treat them with affection when they’ll be sick?

He had a much greater appreciation for the things he took for granted
every day.He realized how strong his mom, a single divorced parent,
was in raising us. He was thankful that he was given the opportunity to
work with the orphans in Tangier and he had a new respect for the
workers at the orphanage for providing these abandoned children with
the best they can give them, given the circumstances.

METHODOLOGY

CHAPTER: 3
METHODOLOGY
PLANNING & ORGANIZING:
 First of all , all the group members agreed on working with an orphanage
 After that we advertised our project for fund raising.
 for this one of the group member crated digital poster using Adobe photo
shop.
 And then shared it on our social media account to do fund raising.
 Once you’re done with all of your advertisements and fund raising go for the
following process:
 Choose a day that suits all group members to visit the orphanage.

 Choose one day and go shop the things and accessories that you want to donate to the children

 Pack the gifts in a decent way.

 Decide activities that you have to perform with them

 It’s more good to make a list of things that needs to be done on the targeted day

 Decide menu if you are interested in to get them some food as well

 On the day already decided, try to be on time and make sure everything goes with the flow

 Be punctual

 The project was executed on 1st November, 2020

 Total donations that were collected was about 60,000 rupees

Conclusions:
From this entire tenure of our project we’ve concluded that only a
small deed can bring so much happiness and peace in life of others.
With the concept of charity no one in the society is left unnoticed, no
one feels inferior , no one feels left out in the society.
No one is asking to donate in millions, if you can donate a penny go
for it donate as per your facilities and requirements.
In our country Pakistan, the concept of charity and donations is not
that much normalized as it is in other countries. The main cause for
this can be unawareness among the people , they are not trained or
taught to donate .
So we can aware our people about the importance of charity and
donations through awareness campaigns and we are pretty sure this
can bring in so much positive change in our society.
