Dr. Hideo Ohno President, Tohoku University, Sendai, Miyagi, Japan.
Dear Dr. Hideo Ohno,
It is my great pleasure to write a recommendation letter for Hasnin Fatema Kanon who was one of my undergraduate students at the department of Civil Engineering in Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), Bangladesh. She has earned her B.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 2011 from this prestigious Engineering University of Bangladesh. After graduation she was successfully recruited by Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) in 2012 which is the leading organization in water sector of Bangladesh. She is now working as Executive Engineer and involved in planning, research and design of overall water resources management and disaster risk mitigation projects under Ministry of Water Resources. As a Professor of this University and her course teacher in third year of her study, I knew her from 2009. I have found Mrs. Kanon to be very much competent with analytical ability, disciplined in work, and highly motivated. She has the originality of thinking and that was reflected in her undergraduate thesis which have made her an appropriate student for research work. Moreover, she is involved in many extra-curricular activities. In conclusion, I highly recommend her for the MEXT Scholarship offered by Government of Japan. I am quite confident that the Master’s Degree Program of International Disaster Risk Management Course at Tohoku University will enhance her technical and professional ability. I believe her ambition, excellence and focus on research which will make her successful in the proposed course and she can serve people of Bangladesh later with the acquired knowledge. I wish Mrs. Kanon all the best in his academic and professional life. If you’d like to discuss his attributes in more detail, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely
Prof. Dr. Md. Rabiul Alam
