SUMMARY OF TIR:

This TIR has been issued to inform the field of an update to the specification “S-288035 Revision AE, Anadrill
Collar Torques”. This specification covers multiple product lines and should be distributed to all field engineers and
R&M technicians. A copy of the specification is attached for reference.

This TIR replaces MWD-TIR 108 issued in 1996 and both DNM-TIR 005 Rev. AA and AB. All copies of MWD-TIR
108, DNM-TIR 005 Rev. AA, and DNM-TIR 005 Rev. AB should be destroyed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this document is to provide a standard set of collar torque values for field personnel when making-
up Schlumberger collars and equipment.

To use these charts, it is required to determine the thread type, and then use the O.D. of the BOX connection and
the I.D. of the PIN connection, as shown in Figure 1. Do not use the bore of the lead in taper when using the
charts provided in S-288035 Rev AE. Examples are provided in the associated document for your reference.

This specification replaces all previously released documents and torque values stamped on the equipment.
Please submit a feedback to the InTouch #3837799 in the case of:
1. the torque specified in this document is significantly different than the torque currently in use.
2. the PIN I.D. and/or the BOX O.D. of the utilized collars are not listed in S-288035 Rev AE.
