1. Despite not having formal education, Macli-ing was considered as

one of the most influential people in the Cordillera. What are the
lessons that the Great Macli-ing left to the Cordilleran Generation?

Macli-ing has been the embodiment of bravery and patriotism. He has

left a lot of lesson to his nation. His greatest contributions to Cordilleran
people are the courage and defiance of the Igorots who stood for what they
had stand for, and that was preserving their most important land and
culture. He is also a model of a person, even if uneducated with the lessons
we get from school, if enriched with bravery, love, and lessons I life, can be
a hero of his time.

2. What are the political/social/environmental issues today that are

comparable to the story of Macli-ing Dulag and the government?

Macli-ing, a leader of a tribe, fought against the Government’s plan to

create four hydroelectric dams which threatened Macli-ing people that those
may cause harm to them. In today’s generation, some politician also pursue
what they believe could benefit people without considering the sake of the
people who are going to be too much affected. Socially, there are no much
people/leader who are brave enough as Macli-ling to stand for something
against the government. Environmentally, there are still projects such as
creating too much dams that can harm the environment. To solve that
political issue, we must always vote for the deserving one. For the Social
issue, we must practice standing for the truth. Lastly, the environmental
problem, authorities must be influenced to provide alternative to creating
dams/ harmful projects to the environment.
3. What is the importance of land and heritage to the Cordilleran
people?

Cordillera is rich in natural resources and is known for huge gold

deposits, pure stands f fine forest, and rich soils and water sources that
helps them maintain their rice terraces. Cordilleran people have a lot to
consider in just giving their rich land. They have every reason to be against
with the utilizatio off the land they have been taking care of.

4. Search and explain the “Kaliwa Dam Project” how it is related to

the previous topic. Will its benefits outweigh the costs?

Kaliwa Dam Project is expected to provide 600 million litters of raw

water per day. That would suffice the 97% water supply to Manila. It would
ease the pressure of the 60-year old Angat Dam. It has been estimated to
cost Php 12.189 Billion. The money is not the greater issue of this Dam.
What has it outweigh is the cost it has taken from the environment. A lot of
trees and forest have been cut down to provide this project a clear way.
Although, it would benefit a lot of people I just say that whatever big project
the Government will pursue, they must conduct a survey, they must lend
ears to the people, they must hear opinions so that they would come up with
the best decision.

5. Explain the project of the present administration to vaccinate

Filipinos with Sinovac? Are you in favour or against this program?
Explain.

The world has suffered this virus for almost a year, a lot of lives has
changed and worst have been taken. No one was perfectly safe. Everybody
was at grief. Now, there are vaccines formulated to save a lot of people from
suffering the pain. Sinovac has originated from Chinese people, and
everyone knows that the virus as well, has originated from China. People
are a bit of afraid to trust vaccines from china. For me, Sinovac has already
undergone to a lot of trials and they are already capable to protect a body
from an infection. If a person is willing to be vaccinated, I see no wrong. I
just also consider that fact that other countries have formulated vaccines
and they are more trustworthy in this situation.
