Tests of Reading Comprehension (TORCH) Third Edition is a best-selling Australian test

designed to assist teachers in their assessment of Year 3 to Year 10 students’ reading
comprehension skills.

types: informational, narrative and argumentative.

The User Guide provides a quick how-to for selecting the appropriate passage
for your students, administering TORCH, scoring, and interpreting norm tables
and reports.

The Teacher Manual is available as a hard copy or as an electronic download.

It contains more detailed information about TORCH including norms, case
