Bekaert is the inventor of the Dramix SFRC flooring solution and they are
trying to penetrate SFRC (Steel fiber reinforced concrete) as a concept rather
than product selling. Over The 10 years of continuous efforts via various
marketing tools such as Exhibitions, Technical Seminars, Live
Demonstrations, they have seen an increase in awareness about Floor
importance.

They also have a novel solution – Seamless floors, which are slowly getting
acceptance in Cold Storage, Food Industry, Pharma Industry, Tire Industry
and Textile Industry.

Epoxy Terrazzo Flooring in Mall

Neocrete is using this technique. For good quality terrazzo floor, it common
for installing any epoxy floors, which consists of filling of cracks and joints,
grinding to get mechanical key and ensuring that the moisture content is
below 4%.  For design layout it is pivotal to transfer the design on the
prepared floor using templates or any other method and then to install the
divider strip as per design.

Then comes use of Neoflor Ultra terrazzo. It consists of epoxy resin,

hardener and filler consisting of various grades of marble chips and glass
chips. All are supplied in pre-measured containers for easy mixing at site.
Then comes Pouring Ultra Terrazzo, Grinding Terrazzo, Grouting Terrazzo
Polish and Sealing Terrazzo.

Epoxy resin floor coatings have become a popular choice for warehouses
thanks to the ability of these solutions to provide a robust, level platform
that can withstand the on-site challenges for an extended period of time
while providing additional operational benefits. Epoxies are available in a
wide range of colours and can be tailored to ensure surface flatness as well
as resist heavy loads, hard rubber and steel-wheeled forklift traf

Innovations in Floor Joint Systems

Joint size is decided on floor thickness. For floor thickness of 200mm, joint
size of 175-190mm can be selected. Lesser heights are to factor unevenness
in base surface. The challenge is to have stock of variable heights of
armourjoint and idle inventory of balance stock. Secondly lead time for
sourcing joints of variable heights.

To overcome these challenges, RCR has introduced Alpha Joint Universal for
slab thickness from 150-200mm. It has preset positions to which joints can
be set and installed. More than 70% of grade slabs have thickness ranging
from 150-200mm and single type of joint meets the demand of majority of
floors. It is a joint design pioneered by Permaban UK, a RCR group company.
Alpha Joint is a leave-in-place, heavy duty Arris/Joint protection system for
Industrial floors.Leave-in-place floor joint system comprises of 2.4 m long
armoured section with lap joint at both ends, 4-way, 3-way section at
intersections of joints.
