In the praise of the noble prophet Mohammed (peace be upon


him)

The tomb of the holy Prophet in Madina

In Madina, there is the grave of the prophet, which visited by angels


It is such grave, there is excellence in the empyrean and in the sky

Is there any relation between the desert of Madina with the gardens?
So with the lovely air of Madina, it is envious the garden of paradise

If Madina city is safe then everything is safe


So Allah keeps it as the cause of the blessing

Madina is such a garden city which is the décor of all gardens


The seasons of the gardens of paradise are due to the city of Madina

While leaving Madina, so no need to visit the garden of paradise


As it is better than paradise and it is a living paradise on the earth

Not we but Allah also love the city of Madina


The love of Madina is like the love of the prophet

The beggar of this door is the king of fate and worlds


The beggar of this place is a matter of envy of the kings

One who has become rich there so his fate could not understand
In the resurrection day prophet, Ibrahim will find the help there

Oh, Allah help us to reach Madina to enable us to see how it is there?


Where befall the mercy and there is available blessing everywhere?

If one leaves Madina then he will not find the fragrance of heaven
If there is a love of Madina then it is guaranteed of the heaven

On the earth, he is called Mohammed and called Ahmed in the skies


His praise is in the world as well as his praise is found in the skies

There is his rule in Madina also he is a ruler of the skies


Madina is the capital and he is the ruler of the two worlds

What mistake you did Hafeez by leaving the city of Madina ?


As it is such heaven and desired by the angles of the empyrean

Why Hafeez will go to heaven by leaving the city of Madina ?


What is heaven as it is gracefully for the sake of Madina city?

Hadrat Sheikh Abdul Quader Jilani (R.A.), is the leader of all holy
persons like the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him.) who is
the leader of the group of all prophets of Allah which have been
sent down on the world. So, for this reason, he is called and he is
famous as a chief of all the saints. His spiritual benefits and favours
from his miracles were available in the all period of time and even
today is being continued and till the day of the judgment, such
favours and benefits will be available to the mankind in the world.
Because the favour and benefits of the holy persons which is
available during the life period and which will be also available in
the world after their demise from the world. Allah the most
Merciful and Beneficent has kept the holy persons in every period
of time so that there should available favours of miracles and
benefits to the mankind from them.
The holy persons due to the nearness of Allah and perfection
in the obedience of the prophet of Allah they were away from the
sins. Allah has given them the most excellent status of the holy
persons of the nation of the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon
him) and Allah’s divine power being manifest by the holy persons

So for getting favour and benefits from the holy persons is in


fact of getting favour and benefits from Allah because their
saying, actions are according to the commandments of Allah and
as per the practice of the last prophet of Allah.
Hadrat Sheikh Abdul Quader Jilani (R.A.), and who was the
Qutub (highest cadre in spiritual pivot) of all time’s favour of
spiritual miracle is available in his saying which is as mentioned
as follows.

“If my disciple’s hiding will be open and if he will be there in


the East, and if I am in the West then I will cover it.”
In this way, his disciples and devotees were able to get his
favour of miracles and benefits of spiritual powers in all time and
at always. And they think him as a manifest of the help of Allah
and so, for this reason, they see his favour of miracles and benefits
from him. There is saying of the prophet, which is as follows.
“If your animal will run away from you then you should call as
oh people of Allah help me.”

For the revival of the religion of Islam, Hadrat Sheikh Abdul


Quader Jilani (R.A.), is such an enormous personality and a great
leader and due to the blessing of his hand while finding the
religion of Islam as a patient in the exemplary shape and given
new life to it and so then he was becoming famous and well
known by the title of Mohiuddin.

And still, your favours are well known in the Khuldabad
For this reason, no one leaves empty from your kind door
And he will return back for an act of thanks in this matter
Oh Shah Hafeez is your devotee not forget him at your door
Kindly fulfill his wishes and desires as he is the true devotee
Not wishes of Hafeez but Shah consider wishes of all others
Oh Shah your favour is there since for centuries in Rouza
So for this reason favour for the glory of Islam at soon
So the great flag of Islam will shine again in the world soon

The eleven principles of Naqshabandia Sufi chain system

The first eight principles are from 'Abd ul-Khaliq Ghujduwani (d.
1220). The final three principles were added by Baha ad-din
Naqshband (d. 1389).
1.Awareness in the Breath/Awareness in the Moment (Hush dar
dam)
"Every breath which is exhaled from within must be exhaled with
awareness and presence of mind and so that the mind does not

stray into forgetfulness."


Baha ad-din Naqshband said: "The foundation of our work is in
the breath. The more that one is able to be conscious of one's
breathing, the stronger is one's inner life. It is a must for everyone
to safeguard his breath in the time of his inhalation and exhalation
and further, to safeguard his breath in the interval between the
inhalation and exhalation."
As the seeker becomes occupied with the exercise of the
moment (i.e. remembering the breath), he turns his attention from
remembering the past and thinking of the future, and focuses on
each breath until it is expired.
Sa'd ud-din Kashghari added: "Hush dar dam is moving from
breath to breath so there is no heedlessness but rather there is
presence, and with each breath that we take should be the
remembrance of the Real."
Sheikh Abdul Janab Najmuddin al-Kubra said in his book,
Fawatih al-Jamal: "Dhikr (remembrance of God in the breath) is
flowing in the body of every single living creature by the
necessity of their breath—even without will—as a sign of
obedience, which is part of their creation. Through their
breathing, the sound of the letter 'Ha' of the Divine Name Allah is
made with every exhalation and inhalation and it is a sign of the
Unseen Essence serving to emphasize the Uniqueness of God.
Therefore it is necessary to be present with that breathing, in order
to realize the Essence of the Creator."
The name Allah, which encompasses the ninety-nine Names
and Attributes, consists of four letters, Alif, Lam, Lam and Hah

(ALLAH). The people of Sufism say that the absolute unseen


Essence of Allah Exalted and Almighty is expressed by the last
letter vowelized by the Alif, "Hah." It represents the Absolutely
Unseen "He-ness" of the Exalted God (Ghayb al-Huwiyya al-
Mutlaqa lillah 'azza wa jall) in which the mystic loses his
separate identity with every "hah" in his breath.

The first Lam is for the sake of identification (tacrif) and the
second Lam is for the sake of emphasis (mubalagha).
The soul has long been thought to be in the breath. "For the
early thinkers the soul was visualized sensuously as a breath-
body." Awareness of the breath makes us aware of the soul and
the inner body, inner self, which belong to the moment.
In the path of the Khwajagan awareness in the breath is a very
great principle. Those in this path regard it a great transgression
to become unconscious of the breath.

2.Watch your Step! (Nazar bar qadam)


Direct yourself constantly towards the goal.
Sa'd ud-din Kashghari added: "Looking upon the steps means that
the seeker in coming and going looks upon the top of his feet and
thereby his attention is not scattered by looking at what he should
not look at." When the beginner's attention is taken by shapes and
colors outside of himself, his state of remembering leaves him and
is ruined, and he is kept from his objective. This is because the
beginning seeker does not have the power of the "remembrance
of the heart," so when his sight falls upon things, his heart loses
its collectedness, and his mind becomes scattered.
Watch your step can also refer to watching circumstances, feeling
when is the right time for action, when is the right time for
inaction, and when is the right time for pause. Some have said that
Nazar bar qadam is an expression which refers to the wisdom
inherent in one's natural disposition.

Fakhr ud-Din Kashifi added: "Nazar bar qadam may be alluding


to the seekers traveling through the stages of breaking from
existence and putting behind self- love."
Of these three interpretations, the first refers to beginners' use of
this aphorism, the second refers to those in mid-progress on the
Way, and the third to the Attainers.

3.The Journey Home (Safar dar watan)


Your journey is towards your homeland. Remember you are
traveling from a world of illusion to a world of reality. The
wayfarer travels from the world of creation to the world of the
Creator.
The Journey Home is the transformation that brings man out of
his subjective dream state, so that he can fulfill his divine destiny.
From the Rashahat-i 'ayn al-hayat: "[The journey home refers
to] that traveling which the seeker makes within his human
nature. In other words, travel from the qualities of humankind
toward the angelic qualities, moving from blameworthy qualities
to laudable ones." Sheikh Ahmad Sirhindi (d. 1624) said: "This
blessed expression [traveling in the homeland] means traveling
within the self. The source of its results lies in putting the final
[practice] at the beginning, which is one of the characteristics of
the Naqshbandi Way. And although this [inner] traveling can also
be found in other tariqas [schools of Sufism], [in those] it is found
only in the end after the 'traveling on the horizons' [referring to
the Qur'anic verse (41:53): 'We will show them Our signs on the
horizons and within their selves until they know He is the Real']."
"Traveling on the horizons" is traveling from place to place. At
the beginning of the journey it can mean leaving home to find a
guide or teacher. Also it happened in former generations that
when the wayfarer had become established in a place, got
accustomed to it and become familiar with its people, they took
on traveling in order to break down habit and comfort and cut
themselves off from renown. They would choose travel in order
to experience complete emptying.

It means traveling within oneself, looking at oneself, examining


oneself and one's reactions, and how they act upon one.
This reflects the stress that the Naqshbandi path puts on the inner
states, stages, processes.
Be an external resident and let your heart
travel. Traveling without legs is the best kind of travel.

4.Solitude in the Crowd (Khalwat dar anjuman)


There are two kinds of retreat. One is the outward kind in which
the seeker, far from people, sits alone in his cell until he comes
into contact with the spiritual world. This result comes about
because the external senses withdraw themselves and the inner
senses extend themselves to signs from the spiritual world.
The second kind of retreat is the hidden one, where the seeker is
inwardly witnessing the secrets of the Real while he is
outwardly surrounded by people. Khalwat dar anjuman is of
this second type of retreat: outwardly to be with people, inwardly
to be with God.
In all your outer activities remain inwardly free. Learn not to
identify with anything whatsoever.
Khwaja Awliya Kabir, one of the deputies of 'Abd ul-Khaliq
Ghujduwani, explained khalwat dar anjuman as follows:
"'Retreat within the crowd' is that state when one is so constantly
and completely absorbed in divine remembrance that 'one could
walk through the market-place without hearing a word.'"
They are with their Lord and simultaneously they are with the
people. As the Prophet said, "I have two sides: one faces my
Creator and one faces creation."
'Abd ul-Khaliq Ghujduwani himself was known to say: "Close
the door of the formality of sheikhhood, open the door of
friendship. Close the door of khalwat (solitary retreat) and
open the door of suhbat (companionship)." Baha ad-din
Naqshband said in this connection: "Our path is in
companionship. In [physical] retreat there comes fame and with

fame comes calamity. Our welfare lies with the assembly and its
companionship, on condition that [self-] negation is found in one
another."
When Baha ad-din reached Herat on his journey to Mecca, the
Amir Hussein arranged a gathering in his honour. At the assembly
the Amir asked him, "Since with your Presence there is neither
audible dhikr, nor voyaging, nor audition of special music and
poetry, what is your path?" He answered, "The pure words of the
tribe of 'Abd ul-Khaliq Ghujduwani, which are 'retreat within the
crowd,' and we follow in their Way." "What is retreat within the
crowd?" the Amir asked. "Outwardly to be with the people while
inwardly to be with God," said Naqshband.

The Amir expressed surprise and asked whether this was actually
possible. Baha ad-din replied that if it were not possible God Most
High would not have indicated it in a Qur'anic verse which
describes those who are not distracted from the remembrance of
God even while in the marketplace: "Men whom neither business
nor profit distracts from the recollection of Allah" [24:37]. This
is the way of the Naqshbandi Order.
Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindî, Mujaddid-i-alf-i-thani (the Renewer
of the second millennium), said: "Retreat within the crowd is
derived from traveling in the homeland since if traveling in the
homeland is properly accomplished, then retreat within the crowd
will properly occur. The seeker within the diversity of the crowd
travels in his own land, and the diversity of the horizons finds no
way into the meditation cell of his inner self. This treasure will
manifest with difficulty at the beginning and with no difficulty in
the end. And in this tariqa it is the portion of the beginning while
in other paths it is at the end. This is so because the treasure is
derived from traveling within the self (with presence in the
moment), which is at the beginning of this path, while traveling
on the horizons takes place simultaneously. This is the opposite
of the other paths which make the traveling on the horizons the
beginning and the traveling within the self the end."
In the words of al-Kharraz: "Perfection is not in exhibitions
of miraculous powers, but perfection is to sit among people, sell
and buy, marry and have children; and yet never leave the
presence of Allah even for one moment."

Those endowed with such beauty are rare indeed
in this world.
5.Remembrance (Yad kard)
Concentration on Divine Presence.
For the Naqshbandiyya remembrance is practiced in the silent
dhikr.
Keep God, the Beloved, always in your heart. Let your prayer,
dhikr, be the prayer of your heart.

According to Khwaja Ubaydullah Ahrar, "the real meaning of


dhikr is inward awareness of God. The purpose of dhikr is to
attain this consciousness." The purpose of the dhikr is to keep
one's heart and attention entirely focused on the Beloved in love
and devotion.
The dhikr is not just repeated as words, but is in the heart.
Remembrance of the tongue becomes remembrance of the
heart. Abdu'l-Qadir al-Gilani said: "At the first stage one recites
the name of God with one's tongue; then when the heart becomes
alive one recites inwardly. At the beginning one should declare in
words what one remembers. Then stage by stage the
remembrance spreads throughout one's being—descending to the
heart then rising to the soul; then still further it reaches the realm
of the secrets; further to the hidden; to the most hidden of the
hidden."
6.Returning (from distraction), Going Back (Baz gasht)
Travel one way.The return to God. Single-minded pursuit of
divine truth.

This means banishing and dispelling every thought, good or


bad, that comes to mind involuntarily during the dhikr. When
performing the remembrance the heart is required to attain the
calm contentment of: “Oh Allah, my goal is You and Your good
pleasure; it is nothing else!” So long as there is any space left in
the heart for other interests, such calm contentment cannot take
shape, and the remembrance cannot be genuine. Even if this
tranquility cannot be attained at the outset, one must not abandon
the remembrance, and it is necessary to persist in its performance

until this feeling is acquired.

The meaning of baz gasht is the return to Allah Exalted and


Almighty by showing complete surrender and submission to His
Will, and complete humbleness in giving Him all due praise. The
reason, mentioned by the Holy Prophet in his invocation, ma
dhakarnaka haqqa dhikrika ya Madhkar (“We did not Remember
You as You Deserve to be Remembered, O Allah”), is that the
seeker cannot come to the presence of Allah in his dhikr, and
cannot manifest the Secrets and Attributes of Allah in his dhikr, if
he does not make dhikr with Allah's support and with Allah's
remembrance of him. As Bayazid Bistami (d. 874) said: “When
I reached

Him I saw that His remembering of me preceded my


remembrance of Him.” The seeker cannot make dhikr by himself.
He must recognize that Allah is the one making dhikr through
hi
m.

“Beloved, you and your approval are my purpose and desire.”


This attitude will rid one of impure thoughts and distractions. It
relates to the path of absorption. One Sufi was concerned that he
was not sincere, and was ashamed. So his sheikh took him to a
Sufi who was on the path of absorption, and this sheikh told him
that absorption, not hair-splitting, would free him from his
problem. The wayfarer realized that in his worry about his
dishonesty and shame, his wants and needs, he had been focused
on himself, separating himself from his Beloved.

According to Khwaja Ahrar, the saying “returning” means that


we have within us the goal of our striving. The seeds of
transformation are sown in us from above and we have to treasure
them above all possessions.
7. Attentiveness (Nigah dasht)
Struggle with all alien thoughts. Be always mindful of what you
are thinking and doing, so that you may put the imprint of your
immortality on every passing incident and instance of your daily
life.
Be watchful. Be aware of what catches your attention. Learn to
withdraw your attention from undesirable objects. This is also
expressed as "be vigilant in thought and remember yourself."

Nigah means sight. It means that the seeker must watch his heart
and safeguard it by preventing bad thoughts from entering. Bad
inclinations keep the heart from joining with the Divine.
It is acknowledged in the Naqshbandiyya that for a seeker to
safeguard his heart from bad inclinations for fifteen minutes is a
great achievement. For this he would be considered a real Sufi.
Sufism is the power to safeguard the heart from bad thoughts and
protect it from low inclinations. Whoever accomplishes these two
goals will know his heart, and whoever knows his heart will know
his Lord. The Holy Prophet has said, "Whoever knows himself
knows His Lord."

Sa'd ud-Din Kashgari said: "The seeker must, for one hour or
two or whatever he is capable of, hold onto his mind and prevent
thoughts of other [than God] entering." Another description from
the Munahej ul-Sair has it that: "[Nigah dasht is the] guarding
of the special awareness and presence which have resulted from
the noble dhikr, so that remembering of anything other than the
Real does not find its way into the heart/mind."
Yet others have written that nigah dasht also applies to
the time of the dhikr itself: "Nigah dasht is when the seeker at
the time of the dhikr holds his heart/mind upon the meaning of
LA ILAHA ILLA 'LLAH so that thoughts do not find entrance
into his heart, because if thoughts are in the mind then the result
of the dhikr, meaning presence of the heart/mind, will not
manifest." It has also been said, "Nigah dasht is an expression
meaning the prevention of the occurance of thought at the time
one is occupied with [repeating] the fragrant sentence [of LA
ILAHA ILLA 'LLAH]."
Abdul Majid Il Khani said that the meaning of preserving the
heart/mind from incoming thoughts is that they lose their hold on
the mind. In this connection Khwaja Ubaydullah Ahrar said: "The
meaning of preserving the mind [from thoughts] is not that the
seeker can avoid thoughts at the beginning [of his attempts], but
rather that thoughts do not disturb the attendance and
presence[required for the dhikr]. [Thoughts] can be likened to
straw which has fallen onto moving water and yet the water is not
prevented from its course. 'Abd ul-Khaliq Ghujduwani said: "It
isn't so that thoughts never enter the heart/mind, but rather that at
times they do and at times they do not." His statement seems to

be supported by Khwaja 'Ala al-Din al-'Attar who reported:


"Succeeding with thoughts is difficult or even impossible. I
preserved my heart for twenty years from thoughts, after which
they would still appear but they then found no hold there."

8.Continued Remembrance / Perpetual Invocation (Yad dasht)


Constant awareness in the presence of God. "The complete
experience of divine contemplation, achieved through the action
of objective love."

Those on the path maintain that when inner love is always present
in one's dealings with the world, then one has achieved this
mindfulness.
This is the last stage before transformation is completed. The
seeker becomes aware that his loss of "self" will be compensated
by objective love. The humiliation (abnegation of self) that leads
to this stage ceases to touch the seeker for he discovers the
unlimited joy that Truth will bring.
Yad dasht refers to the durability of the awareness of the Real in
the path of "tasting" (living in the multiplicity of illusion). In the
Rashahat-i 'ain al-Hayyat it is stated: "Some have said that this is
a perceiving/witnessing which is the domination of witnessing the
Real in the heart through essential love."
Ubaydullah Ahrar said: "Yad dasht is an expression meaning the
durability of the awareness of the Glorious Real." He said further:
"It means presence [with God] without disappearance."
Regarding the use of the term for the period of the dhikr itself
it has been said: "Yad dasht is that which the dhakir (person
practicing dhikr) during the dhikr maintains [fully the meaning
of] negation and affirmation in his heart in the presence of the
Named."
Khwaja Ubaydullah Ahrar has described the principles five
through eight as following each other in this manner: "Yad kard
(Remembrance) refers to the work of invoking/remembering. Baz
gasht(Returning) means turning to the High Real in the manner
that when saying the fragrant sentence of the dhikr the seeker
follows this in his heart with "God you are my true goal!" and

nigah dasht(Attentiveness) is the holding on to this turning


[to the Real] without words. Yad dasht (Recollection) means
constancy/firmness in [the holding on of] nigah dasht
(Attentiveness)."

9. Awareness of One's State of Mind / Time (Wuquf-i-zamani)


Baha ad-din Naqshband said that this consciousness is the
maker and guide of the disciple. It means to be attentive to one's
state of mind at any given moment and to know whether it is a
cause for giving thanks or for repenting.

It means: To keep account of one's temporal states. To


distinguish presence, huzur, from absence, ghaflat. Baha ad-din
described this as "self- possession" or "mindfulness." He added
that one should always be grateful when one returns to a state of
presence.
In wuquf-i-zaman the seeker remains constantly aware of his
changing states. Baha ad-din Naqshband explained: "Wuquf-i-
zamani is the work of the traveler on the Way: to be attentive of
his state, and to know whether it is a cause for giving thanks or
for repenting, to give thanks while feeling spiritual elation, and to
repent while in spiritual dryness or contraction."
He also stated: "The foundation of the work of the seeker has
been established in the awareness of time [exercise] as seeing at
each moment whether the perceiver of breaths is [breathing] with
presence or with forgetfulness."
Maulana Yaqub Charkhi, in his Explanation of the Names of
Allah, said: "Khwaja [Naqshband] instructed that in the state of
qabz (contraction) one should seek God's forgiveness, whereas in
the state of bast (expansion) one should offer thanks. Close
observation of these two states constitutes wuquf-i-zamani."
Wuquf-i- zamani of the Naqshbandi path is equivalent to the term
"mohasseba"(keeping account of/close observation) used by
other Sufis.
Jami, in the Resalah-i-nuria, said:"Wuquf-i-zamani is a term
meaning the keeping account of the times one passes in [a state
of] dispersal (tafriqah) or collectedness (jam'iyyat)."
10. Awareness of Number (Wuquf-i-adadi)

An expression meaning the observation of the number of


individual repetitions of the dhikr. Jami said: "Wuquf-i-adadi is
the observation of the number of dhikrs and of whether this
[observation] yields results or not." According to Baha ad-din
Naqshband, "The observation of the number of repetitions of the
dhikr of the heart is for gathering thoughts/mental activity which
are scattered."
According to Khwaja 'Ala al-Din al-'Attar, "The important
thing is not the number of repetitions but rather the composure
and awareness with which one makes them."

According to Baha ad-din Naqshband, this awareness is the


first stage of entry into the spiritual world.
This could also mean that for beginners, reading about the
achievements and states of consciousness demonstrated by those
advanced in this practice would be helpful, since in reading about
another's state of nearness, one acquires a certain quality of inner
inspiration.
For advanced disciples, this technique, which facilitates the
initial stages of acquiring inner intuition and inspiration, brings a
consciousness of the unity of diversity:

This diversity and proliferationis all but a


show, The One is manifest in the all.
Diversity, if you look with open eyes, is naught but unity. No
doubts for us, though there might be in some minds. Though
appearance is in numbers, the substance is but one.
(It should be noted that inner inspiration, that understanding
which brings the practitioner and people on the path closer to
higher teachings, comes through divine grace and is not due to
mind discoveries. "Knowledge comes from grace. The difference
between divine inspiration and divine knowledge is that divine
knowledge comes through internalizing the light of the Essence
and the divine attributes, while divine inspiration is gained
through receptivity to inner meanings and those types of
instructions which manifest within the practitioner.")

11. Awareness of the Heart (Wuquf-i-qalbi)

The heart becomes aware of God. This marks the awakening of


divine love. The individual becomes aware that his existence is
an obstacle to his final transformation and he no longer fears to
sacrifice it because he sees for himself that he will gain infinitely
more than he loses.
Wuquf-i-qalbi has been described as having two meanings. One
is that the seeker's heart in the midst of the dhikr is conscious and
aware of the Real. On this point Khwaja Ubaydullah Ahrar said:
"Wuquf-i-qalbi is an expression meaning an

awareness and presence of heart toward the Most High Real felt
in such a manner that the heart feels no need of anything except
the Real." This meaning is similar to that of yad dasht.
Heart consciousness means heart's resting with the Beloved, as
if nothing and no one else existed.
The other meaning is that there is awareness of the heart itself.
In other words, the seeker during the time of the dhikr is attentive
to the cone-shaped heart which is the "seat of subtlety," and
prevents it from becoming unaware during the saying of the dhikr.
Baha ad-din Naqshband did not consider it necessary to hold
the breath during the dhikr as is done in some tariqas, even though
he considered that practice to have its benefits; nor did he consider
essential the wuquf-i-zamani and wuquf-i- adadi (awareness of
time and awareness of number). But according to the
Qodsîyyah he considered "the observance of wuquf-i-qalbi the
most important and necessary because it is the summary and
essence of the intention of the dhikr."
Like an expecting mother-bird, sit watchfully on the egg of
your heart, Since from this egg will result your drunkenness,
self-abandoned, uproarious laughter and your final union.

When Hazrat Shah Naqshband was a young man, he went


to Makkahtul Mukarrama to perform his obligatory pilgrimage.
When he arrived, he was met by Hazrat Khizr (may Allah be
pleased with him), who blessed him with his teachings and
granted him a new cane as a gift. In Bukhara, this cane grew
into a beautiful tree that gave shade to the area around Shah
Naqshband's tomb for hundreds of years.

Preface

This is a book of Anwar –E- Burhanpur and this is a new book


and which is publishing in the year 2021 in the English language.
Please note it is a biography book about Muslim Saints of the
Burhanpur region written by Ateeq Talmeez Saaz in the Urdu
language and the first time I am translating this old book in the
English edition for the international editions.

This is a small book in which the biographies of the Saints of


the Burhanpur region have added this book and in this book, there
are some great achievements of this great Sufi Masters of
Burhanpur region, which is not yet known to the general, persons
and other persons are published in a very interesting style so, for
this reason, the readers will find great interest and attention in this
matter.

From the above facts and details, if the readers will start reading
this book’s first chapter and will not stop its reading till they will
reach its last chapter as in this book some interesting events and
as well as other great miracles and endeavours of the holy saints
are added and these holy Sufi saints were passed away from the
world many centuries years ago.

Even though this is a small book but due to its importance it is


so great due to coverage of many interesting events and positive
information in it so it is like an ocean of knowledge and

information of the holy saints and who were passed away from
the world upon doing thier great endeavours and many hard tasks
for the preaching and propagation work of Islam in the foreign
lands so this book is small one but it will present the ocean of
knowledge and information for the guidance of people towards
the right path of Islam. This book is edited as per other Sufi books
which are very famous in the Western world among the English
knowing persons. So for this reason there will be some small
differences in it while comparing with the Urdu books and its
literature. The aim of this book is to present in the Western world
where there are a great search and demand of the books of Sufism
and biographies of holy saints who lived and spent their entire
lives for the preaching and propagation of Islamic religion in all
corners of the world as per tradition and practice of Allah’s last
prophet.

To write about these great Sufi Saints of the Burhanpur region


is not only it is difficult and but it is a very hard task as they were
not only great pious personalities of their time in the Burhanpur
region but they were also great Sufi Masters in the Burhanpur area
who struggled hard for the preaching and propagation of Islam
centuries ago, so in brief among them some were the highest cadre
in the spiritual endeavours of their time in the Burhanpur region
and who did many great endeavours for the preaching and
propagation of Islam in Central India and ar

Name and titles: In different books of biographies Hazrat
Burhanuddin Gharib who has mentioned as Syed Auliya and
Arifin, Qutub Alam, Maher Wahiat, Tair Lamkan, Qutub Madar,
and Bayazid Thani (second). The above mentioned genealogical
record of the family and spiritual chain as well as the titles which
belonged to great personality and who is well known and famous
as Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib. He was born in Hansi, where his
family is well known in the background of the religion and as well
as in the spiritual status and position. His real brother’s name is
Hazrat Muntajuddin and he was among dear disciples of Hazrat
Nizamuddin Auliya. And his tomb is situated in Khuldabad. And
Hazrat Qutubuddin Munwr was the son of his uncle. And who
was the famous caliph of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. And his
uncles’ name is Hazrat Jamaluddin and he has started the Sufi
chain of Jamila.
When Hazrat Burhanuddin has become an adult person then at
that time his house was with the light of the riches of the religion
but it was empty from the riches of the world. Soon his mother
left the world and due to this reason the conditions have become
very difficult and complicated. He has a fondness for the worship
of Allah since his childhood period. And during that time he was
able to know that there is such knowledge of chemistry is there

by which there can be made pure gold with the help of such know-
how. But in spite of all his information, he was not successful in
this matter. Then he has thought that to return to any perfect
shaikh of time. At that time there was spring of the favour of
Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya which was giving his favour to all
over India. So he went to Delhi by walk and he has reached Delhi
and lived in the broken mosque at the side of the river bank. In
the condition of uneasiness, he began life in Delhi as a strange
person. One night he was seen in the dream that he was fallen in
the trench and in spite of his try he could not come out from there.
And at that time Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya came there he was
taken out of the trench by extending his hand to him from there.
So for this reason he runs towards the shrine of Hazrat
Nizamuddin Auliya at the same time without any further delay.
He was in a strange condition. And his dress was old and his body
was thin and lean that it was difficult to walk but in spite of such
condition, he was moving very fast towards the shrine building
due to too much of his passion in this matter. Whoever will see
him on the way then leave the way for him by moving at the side.
When he was entered into the shrine then Hazrat’s special servant
has informed Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya that “Burhanuddin
Gharib has come”. And from that time his title became famous
and well known. As per the order of the shaikh he has stayed in
the shrine building. There were other disciples of Hazrat
Nizamuddin Auliya like Amir Khusro, Amir Hasan Sanjari, Syed
Hussain, and his servant Iqbal who were among special disciples
of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. But shaikh has such likeness with
him as such that day by day his respect and value began
increasing. It may be said as per natural habit or fire of greed that
his friends have complained about Burhanuddin to the shaikh so

there was punishment upon him. So for this reason he was passed
the hard task of trial in this matter with patience.
The real matter was that there was a pain in his both of his legs
so for this reason he was sitting at the time of lessons by Hazrat
Nizamuddin Auliya on the blanket support and this matter which
was not liked by some persons and they have reported this matter
in different angle to Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. And the spiritual
master even has given the order to closed Jamat Khana (The
Jamatkhana as a place of gathering and prayer) for him for this
complaint. Hazrat Burhanuddin’s condition was become worse
due to the separation and love of the spiritual master. And he used
to weep and lamentation and his condition have become such that
one who will see his condition then that person also who used to
weep for this reason. At last Amir Khusro came in between and
he has requested Hazrat Nizamuddin to forgive his mistake. And
after this event Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib who such near of the
shaikh of time that and who has given him the title as Farzand
Shaista (polite son) and Bayazid Thani (second).
Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib left Burhanpur: One day he was
helping Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya in the ablution then he has
asked him “What was the age of your brother Muntajuddin.?”
And Hazrat Gharib told him “ His age and with the word was he
has understood the meaning that his brother is no more in this
world. He was become sad and to come back to his house and he
has spent the night in loud and cry and lamentation. On the next
day, Hazrat Nizamuddin came and has given him the robe of the
caliph and was given the order to go Deccan region. But Hazrat
Burhanuddin did not want to separate from his spiritual master.
And he has told him that “He will be separate from his footwear.”
So he has given him his footwear to take with him there. Then he
said that “He will be away from his assembly”.Hazrat

Nizamuddin Auliya has given the order to him to take all persons
who are present and sitting at this time. Due to the result of this
saying all persons went to Deccan along with him. This caravan
after the spread of spiritual favour in many places on the way was
reached in the beautiful valley of Satpada and the scene at that
place which was very beautiful and they have camped at the bank
of river Tapti. At the bank side of the river, there was a big rock
there. Under the leadership of Hazrat Burhanuddin, all persons
were prayed Fajr Namaz. And shaikh was impressed by the
beautiful scenery of the valley and he has prayed with Allah as
follows. “Oh Allah establish one city and from its shining, there
will spread light in the universe.” And afterward there was
established one city in the name of him as Burhanpur. And there
was the effect of his prayer in this matter. There came one time
for this city that from here there was the benefit of the spring of
the knowledge and guidance to the whole world.
At last, this caravan of the 700 persons has reached Khuldabad.
And Hazrat was lived in this city for a period of 29 years. And
from here he was left to another world. During his period of stay
due to his attractive personality, worship, dealings, miracles, and
revelations he has made a place in the heart of all the persons of
the place. Even poor and rich, rulers and all people began him
loving very much for this reason.
The number of disciples of Hazrat Burhanuddin began day by
day very much. Hazrat used to advise to decore manifest and
innermost of the disciples. The importance which he will pay
attention to the following advice as follows.
1.The defects of the man: One time Hazrat Wajijuddin came in
the presence of Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib and he has told him
as possible he will keep away from his defects but the defects will
be seen to him more and more to that extent in this matter. Hazrat

shaikh told that “It is the perfection of the man that when he will
reach perfection then his look will befall there on his defects.”
2.Generous and miser: Hazrat Shaikh told that “There is a
difference between generous and miser is that the generous who
keep guest as his friend. And miser will keep wealth as his
friend.”
3.What is the world.?:” The world is like a shadow. When one
looks it at from his side then it will run before him. And when he
overlook it then it was running behind of the man.”
The conversation which is said by the Hazrat in which there
will be sweetness and eloquence and expression. And there will
be such effect that when the people left his assembly then they
will keep their heart pure and will clear mind. And due to the look
of his favour the following disciples are becoming famous and
well known.
Hazrat Fariduddin Adeeb,Hazrat Fakeruddin,Hazrat Kaka Sad
Bakhat, Hazrat Rukanuddin Kashani,Hazrat Mujaduddin.
Hazrat Gharib and rulers: 1.NaseerUddin Farooqui who has
established one beautiful city in the name of Hazrat as
Burhanpur.2. Sultan Mohammed Tuglaqh has much devotion
with Hazrat and once he has sent to him 3000 Tinkas of gold
coins. But Hazrat did not accept the money sent by him. And told
him there is no necessity. And sultan has sent the message again
that this for you as well as for your servants. Then Hazrat has
called his special servant and asked to bring what is remaining in
the house and the servant brought 20 Tinkas. And Hazrat told him
to mix this in 3000 Tinkas and give it to the poor persons. He did
not use to like to visit the king and noble persons.
Once Sultan Mohammed Tuqhlaq left to meet Hazrat after
Friday prayer then Hazrat was able to know in this matter and
prayed with Allah that the sultan should not come to at his house

side. And sultan has changed his mind on the way and he did not
come to visit Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib.
Dress and food: For a long period of time his food was black-
eyed peas bread of barley and before it, he used to think inferior
essence of almond and sugar-candy. He has kept fasting of
Dawoodi system for a period of 30 years and use to break his fast
only with water, vinegar, and curd.
In the dress, he uses to like turban, shirt, and tahband (sheet
used as a garment for the lower part of the body) which he likes
very much. In his personal property at the last time, he did not
leave anything. The proof of his content is found with this thing
that for a period of six years he has used one prayer mat and on
which he used to pray as well as he sleeps on it and covers on his
body upon sleeping time during night time.
Sama (listening ) assembly and worship: He used to like Sama
assembly very much. But almost when he will hear Sama in
assembly then he used to become unconscious. There was such
style of his worship that with the ablution of Eisha prayer he to
used to pray Fajar prayer for a period of 25 years. In his daily
schedule of worship which include after Fajar prayer, recitals, the
prayer of Asharq, the prayer of Tuhfa, the prayer of Ishrasq,
recitation of 3 parts of the Quran, and after that he used to visit
the graveyard where he will use to recite many thousand
recitations of verse ‘Qul Walhu Ahad’. And after that, he will be
returned back to his house and will take some rest by sleeping. In
the other part of the day he used to engage in worship and mystical
exercise. And also he will be engaged in the teaching of the
lessons.
Malfuzat (discourses): His books of Malfuzat are as follows and
these books are very useful and famous. 1.Husul Al-Wasul
2.Hidayatul Quloob 3.Nafas Al-Anfas.

Illness and death: He has become ill but he was not ready for the
treatment of the complaint of his illness. He used to say that the
remembrance of the friend is his physician. During the illness
period, also he was continued in the uprightness and advice, and
worship and mystical exercise, which was continued by him. At
the last, some person wants to take him to Delhi but he was
refused in this matter.
When his last time came then he has put beads of the Hazrat
Nizamuddin Auliya before him and put his turban in his neck.
And he said that “ He is Muslim and among the nation of the
prophet of Allah. And a disciple of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya.
And he was not pious and also not spent life as pious. My self
justifies my work.” Then he was renewed his pledge with the
beads of the spiritual master. And by weeping he told his servant
that to give food to all persons and there should not be remained
anything. And after that, he has asked to bring the saintly dress of
the spiritual master and relics and at the same time, his soul left
from his body.
He remained for some time at Daulatabad and then left for
Roza (Khuldabad), where he died in A.H. 741 (1344 A.D.). His
holy mausoleum in Khuldabad is famous even today for the
fulfillment of desires and wishes of the persons who visit his
tomb. In the opposite of his tomb, his disciple Syed Dawud
Hussain Zainuddin is taking rest and at his foot side there is the
grave of Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir.

2. Hazrat Syed Zainuddin Shirazi

He was among well known and famous caliphs of Hazrat
Burhanuddin Gharib. His full name was Zainuddin and his
patronymic name was Zain al-Haq. He was a famous Qazi (judge)
of Doulatabad. And his native place was Shiraz in Iran. And his
father’s name was Khaja Hasan. He was born in Shiraz in the year
701 Hegira year. It is said that once Khwaja Haruni went toward
a desert area along with his caliphs. During that time he was
addressed to Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Sanjari that “Today I was
heard one call in my ear.” Hazrat Khwaja Hasan Sanjari also told
him that “ In my ear also there is heard glad tiding. And this is
such voice from which there will be a comfort to the heart.” Then
he said that “By this time one boy was born in Shiraz. And he is
the person of saintliness and who will be famous in the miracles

and revelations. He will be among the fifth grade to your caliphs.


He will get grace and caliph in this high-grade Sufi link. And his
name will be Dawood Hussain Shirazi.”

Ali Musa Reza (A.S.)
He came to Delhi from Shiraz and from Delhi he was going
to Doulatabad. He was perfect learned person. So for this reason
in Doulataad, there will be a gathering of learned persons and
students around him there. In one mosque he used to give lessons
of exegesis of the Quran and the teaching of Hadith
(A hadith (Arabic: ‫ َح ِديْث‬, pronounced: "ha-deeth") is the narration
of an event from the life of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam. In
English, the word hadith is also used as the plural word for a
group of these narrations although the plural in Arabic is a-HAA-
deeth.).
One day he went in to the service of Hazrat Burhanuddin along
with Hazrat Rukanuddin Kashani. Where he was found
extraordinary attraction from the side of the shaikh. And he was
repented and given his hand for devotion and he has become his
disciple on his hand. Then he began living always in the company
of grace of his spiritual master. Then slowly by the favour of his
spiritual master he has reached a higher grade. He was a
personality of miracles and he was seat of knowledge of
innermost, as well as in the knowledge of manifest he was reached
on the higher level excellence and perfection and he has also
become Quran-conner.

In this way, in the year 737 Hegira Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib


has given him a saintly dress of the caliphate. And given the
crown of excellence to him. On his return journey to Deccan, he
was visited Ajmare, and here also he has obtained many benefits
and favours. A large number of the people were blessed by his
devotion.
Upon visiting Ajmare he was returned back to Deccan. And by
passing destination to destination he was benefitted people on the
way of his journey and at last, he was returned back to the
Doulatabad.
As Malik Raja the local ruler of the place and who was the
disciple of Hazrat Zainuddin and he has devotion with the shaikh
and he has obtained caliphate from him. So for this reason at the
time of his death, he was made his elder son Naseer Khan as his
successor and he has given him caliphate and permission to him.
At the time when Naseeruddin Farooqui has conquered the
fort of Asirgarh then at the time, Hazrat Zainuddin went to
Burhanpur from Khuldabad to give his congratulation. Upon
hearing this Naseer Uddin Farooqui went into the service of the
shaikh with his princes and has obtained favour of spiritualism
from him there. After some days when Hazrat was going back to
Khuldabad then Hazrat has stood and was prayed for peace and
security in the country as well as blessing and development.
Naseeruddin Farooqui has requested with Hazrat to allot some
villages for his livelihood. And Hazrat told him that “ We Fakir
person did not want it. If you have devotion with us then establish
one city in the name of our spiritual master as Burhanpur where
the royal tents are fixed there. Where my stay was there and at
that place establish one village in name as Zainabad. The king
at the same day has started the work of laying the foundation of
the two cities and in this way, by the year 803 Hegira

corresponding to the year 1400, the City of Burhanpur and


Zindabad was founded.
Miracles: There are many of his miracles are there and for
example from the use of the earth of the shrine building there is
the recovery of the illness of the patients. There will be no effect
of the fire on the wood by keeping a touch of the shrine building.
And he was practiced of the Islamic law. Try very much for the
work of command and prophibition. King Alamgir's advice to his
Prince Azam Jah due to his appreciation of his holiness and
miracles and for the details in this matter there is no space in this
brief book.
At the last time of his life, there was with him of the things of
the world are on saree and three bananas and some small quantity
of some other thing with him there. And also there was one library
with him. All things he has distributed among poor persons. And
the endowed library for the public service.
Hazrat Shah Zainuddin at the time of praying Asr Namaz at the
date of 25th Rabil Awwal in the year 771 Hegira he left this
mortal world.
He did not leave or appoint any caliph or successor after him.
During the time of illness, he did not eat any food except drinking
water and but he used to be punctual for performing the payers.
During the time of the prostration of his head on the prayer mat,
his soul left to meet his Lord of the worlds. His mausoleum in
Khuldabad is a place of the visit of the mankind and which is
famous even today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the
persons who visit his tomb.

3.Shah Bahauddin Bajan Chisti

He was among the perfect and well known holy persons of the
Burhanpur. And he was born in the year 790 Hegira and
corresponding to the year 1388 A.D. And his father’s name is Haji
Moizuddin. And who was the perfect caliph of Hazrat Jalaluddin
Bukhari and he was among sons of Hazrat Ahmed Madni. And
who was among the sons of Zaid Bin Qattab brother of Hazrat
Umar Bin Qattab R.A. And who has obtained saintly dress of the

Al-Mutawakil Ali Ullah Mandavi and him from Ibn Shaikh
Yahiah Bin Shaikh Lateef Uddin Darya Nosh and him from
Rukanuddin Kan Lashkar and him from Khaja Mohammed Zahid
Chisti and him from Khaja Qutubuddin Maudud Chisti.

Moulana Ahmed was the knower of the realities of the


universe and the knower of secrets of saintliness. In his heart,
there was the flowing of the river of brillance so for this reason
he was mystic (arif) person of the time and as well as a worshipper
of his period. Moulana Ahmed was the lover of the prophet of
Allah. He used to find always in fondness of the love of the
prophet. In the knowledge of exegesis if there will be a problem
with him then the prophet himself come to him in the dream and
will solve his problem by him in this matter.
It is said that when he will be used to visit the mausoleum of
the prophet in Madina during the night time then all doors of the
shrine building which will be opened and as well as all lamps will
be lighted by automatically. Hazrat Bajan after pledging on the
hands of Hazrat Shaikh Aziz Mutwakil Ali Allah then he has
become a disciple of the son of the Hazrat Rahmatullah. Then he

has become perfection in the following things. 1.Status


2.Mysticsim 3.Saintliness.
Hazrat Maqdum Shaikh Rahmat Allah when he has found in
his heart brilliance of reality then he has given him the order to
go the country of Hijaz. When he has reached Khorasan city then
he was seen the prophet and who was sitting with his spiritual
master in his dream and he was saying “Tell your disciple that his
Hajj pilgrimage was accepted in the court of Allah. And he should
return backside from here and to go Burhanpur which is famous
city in the Khandesh area. And he was settled down there and to
develop the knowledge of the religion of Islam. And do favour
of the mankind there. When he was got this glad tiding then he
has come back happily toward his back journey. Then he has gone
on the journey to meet his spiritual master. Then he was able to
know that his spiritual master already left the mortal world. So,
for this reason, he has become very sad in this matter. At that time
Ata Allah Bin Shaikh sad Allah and who was the son of brother
of his shaikh and who was a successor for his spiritual master.
And he has given him a special saintly dress as per his final advice
of the shaikh. He went to the grave of his spiritual master and as
per his instruction of the innermost, he went toward Deccan. And
he was reached Doulatabad and upon circummulation of the grave
of Hazrat Burhanuddin Gharib, he went to Bider city. And from
there he was got the Masoodi saintly dress by Masood Bak. And
then he has stayed in Gujrat. And from there he was going to
Burhanpur and was stayed in Khanpura mosque. When the ruler
of Burhanpur Azam Humayun when he was able to know about
his arrival then he has brought him into the city with him much
respect and honour and for him, he was constructed one mosque
and shrine building. And he was given the order for the

endowment of Khana Pura village for meeting expenses of the


mosque as well as for the shrine building
Reason for the title Bajan: When Hazrat went on the grave of
his spiritual master and he has covered the grave of his saintly
dress with his saintly dress which was given by him. And he has
put the papers of the orders near there. And he was standing near
the mausoleum of Hazrat shaikh Abu Ahmed with much respect
there. The chorister of good voice started singing his ode and they
reached on the following couplet.
Shah Rahmat Allah give me drink and from the grave, there was
heard the following one couplet.
Oh Bajan your wine cup is full now
And from that day he became famous and well known with
this title of Bajan.
Rahmatullah filled love of Mohammedi chief in the head
Bajan mad who sacrificed his head and watch with amaze

There was prevailed upon his condition of tenderness and as


well as the condition of ecstasy. And began giddy. There came
the call to wear it is your right. And when he has raised his two
hands then at that time saintly dress jumped and came upon his
body. Due to his personality of blessing, there were reached his
benefits to a large number of the people. And they have got
guidance of innermost and manifest in this matter. And they have
reached many thousand people on the status of saintliness.
He was a personality of revelation and there were a large
number of his miracles that are well known and famous.
Among one king of Faroqi kingdom and when he went into
his service to check his personality and he went there by his
intention that if Hazrat will feed him full of his stomach then he
will accept his status of revelation. Upon reaching of the king then

he has asked his son Shaikh Abdul Hakim to bring the case of the
Quran and by saying in the name of Allah take out from it and
whatever which will be found there and serve to the persons who
are present here. As per his saying his son acted upon this matter
and he put his hand in the case where he was found bread and
fresh sweet in it. So this grace was also sent into his house. Then
he was given the order to put the holy Quran back in the case.
And by bending his head he told in the ear of the king that “It is
not good for the trail of the poor persons.”
His books: Among his books Khazana Rahmat is there available
in the Persian language. And in this book he has recorded
discourses of the spiritual master. This book is written on the
subjects of knowledge of mysticism and realities and in this book
there are 1000 pages are found. In this book, there are added some
couplets from his Urdu book and Professor Sherwani who has
collected some of his couplets and in this book some couplets
are found in the Urdu language. He was written the verse Iqlas
in the Urdu poetry.Shah Bajan’s poetry is based upon in the praise
of Allah, encomium , eulogy, secrets, and pointsof Sufism and
advises and subjects.
Death: His date of death is 14th Zeqad in the year 912 Hegira
corresponding to 1506 A.D. And his age was 122 at the time of
the death. And his tomb is situated in the locality of Shah bazaar
chowk and which is famous even today for the fulfillment of the
desires and wishes of the persons who visit his tomb. On his holy
grave King Farooq Badshah Adil Shah known as Azam Humayun
who was constructed one beautiful tomb during the year 914-916
Hegira year. And near the tomb, there is situated one mosque and
shrine building. And on the face of the tomb, there is the
inscription of the quatrain which found there. His date of death
was written by some poet as follows.

Shah Bajan Ashiq Allah Bud


(Shah Bajan who was the lover of Allah = 911+1 =912
Shaikh Ali Mutaqi was a well known and famous learned
person of the Faruqi kingdom. And who was born in Burhanpur.
And his father has presented him in the service of Shaikh Bajan
at the age of 7-8 years and he was pledge on his hands. And upon
the death of his spiritual master Shaikh Ali Mutaqi who has
completed stages of mysticism with help of Shaikh Abdul Hakim
who was son of Shaikh Bajan. And he has received a saintly dress
from him. And Naib Rasulullah was among the well-known
caliphs of Shaikh Mutaqi.
Children:He has five sons and one daughter. And names of his
sons are as follows.
1.Shah Abdul Hakim 2.Shah Bahlul and his tomb is there on the
road of the Asirgarh.3. Mastan Shah and his tomb is situated in
Ravil village in the Jalgaon district. 4.Mohammed Masum and his
tomb is situated in the Chowk ward in the courtyard of Khajur
mosque. 5.Mohammed Yahiah and the whereabouts of his tomb
which are not known. And his date of death is 22nd Muharram.
As per the saying of the author of Auliya Deccan his daughter
was married to Syed Meeran Bukhari and his son is well known
as Syed Qutub Alam.

4. Syed Yousuf Jusi Chisti

He was disciple and caliph of his father Syed Muhituddin. And


his genological link connected with some generation with Hazrat
Baba Farid Ganj Shaker.

He was stayed in Ajhodan and where by his great worship and
mystical exercises he has obtained positon of the saintliness.
One day he was heard on invisible call in which it was told to
“Oh Yousuf to go Makkah and visit holy Harem there. And visit
also Madina.” Upon hearing this he went towards Makkah along
with his three brothers. Upon reaching there he was visited the
mausoleum of the holy prophet of Allah and upon performing
Hajj pilgrimgage he was returned back to Asir fort (Burhanpur).
At that time the ruler of Khandesh district was Aina Adil Shah
Faruqi. And he was visited him upon hearing his arrival and
blessing by his meeting and he was become his disciple. Then he
was gone to Ajhodan and brought his family members and
children to Burhanpur and he was settled down in Burhanpur.
Hazrat Nizamuddin and his patroynic name Shah Bhikari was
his son. And he was India’s well known and perfect holy
personality of Allah. He was given his dress of the saintliness of
caliphate to Shaikh Hussain. And he was left this mortal world in
the year 850 Hegira. His tomb is situated in Talhati in the west of
Asir fort in Chah Gulshan area.
His mausoleum is in Talhati, which is famous even today for
the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the persons who visit his
tomb.

5.Hazrat Shaikh Nizamuddin Shah well known as Shah


Bhikari
His complete name is Shaikh Nizamuddin Bin Shaikh Yousuf
Joshi and his genological record connected with seven generation
with Hazrat Farid Ganj Shaker. Shah Nizamuddin Bin Shaikh
Yousuf Bin Shaikh Muhituddin Bin Shaikhuddin Bin
Shamsuddin Bin Naseeruddin Bin Baderuddin Sulaiman Bin
Shaikh Fariduddin Masood Ganj Shaker.
He was born in Ajodhan in the 837 Hegira year. In his youth
period along with his friends he went in the presence of Hazrat
Mohammed Noman Chisti Bin Khaja Hafiz Shirazi Asiri and told
him his desire. Then Hazrat Mohammed Noman Chisti went into
meditation and by revelation he was found details and he was
told him that “I will accept pledge of you and your friends but
portion of your pledge is with Shaikh Shamsuddin who is
resident of Mandu. So as per advice of the shaikh he was reached
to Mandu and entered in the shrine building of the shaikh of time.
And who in the 8th generation of Hazrat Shaikh Farid Uddin Ganj
Shaker and who was person of miracles and a person who has
having pure heart with him.When he was reached in the shrine
then Hazrat was able to know about his arrival there so then he
has told his servant to bring Shah Bhikri who has came in our
shrine.The servant has called two three times but no body did not
replied his call.So the servant went into the service of the shaikh
and told him that there is no person by this name.The shaikh has
told that Nizamuddin Bin Yousuf Assiri came here for begging so
call him.The servant has present him as per the order of the

shaikh. He was present into the service of the shaikh and he was
pledged on the hands of the shaikh and received saintly dress of
the devotion and from that day he was becom well known as Shah
Bhikari.
He was returned back from Mandu. And he came in Asirgarh
and went into the presence of Hazrat Shah Noman Assiri and after
some days he went for Hajj pilgrimage and for visit of Madina.
And two times he was blessed for this felicity in this matter. He
was a lover of the prophet and he has with him much fondness of
the love. And he has in his heart passion. And he has spent whole
of life as per the Islamic law of Shariat. Then he came back from
Madina to Burhanpur and he was settled at the outside of city in
the place known as Noorbadi and he was given blessing to this
deserted place.This was the period of Adil Shah Faruqi and who
was devotee of him and he was constructed one shrine building
and mosque for him.
One time Aina Adil Shah was prayed with in the mosque and
Hazrat was engage in daily round of recital and in narration. The
king at that time for the shrine and other expenses has written title
for property and put it under the prayer mat and he left from
there.After the prayer when prayer mat was removed and there
was found order of the king. He has asked his disciple what is
this.? The disciple has read the subject of the order of the king
and told him this is royal document and the king of the place has
written the order of 3 lakhs aid in this matter.This matter was not
liked very much by Hazrat and he told that the king want to
involve him in the greed of the world. So it is not good to live at
this place. And from here went to Ravir place along with his

disciples and companions. When the king was able to know anger
of the Hazrat so he was worried and he has sent one Syed person
in the presence of Hazrat in Ravir. And who was regretted on
behalf of the king in his presence.When Hazrat has reached to
Ravir then he has seen the prophet in the dream in the last night
and who has instructed him to go back Burhanpur and give favour
to the mankind.Hazrat Bhikari Shah due to the order of the
prophet in the helpless condition he went back to Burhanpur. And
the king has welcomed him with much resepct and honour into
the city of Burhanpur. But he did not accepted property from the
king.Hazrat Bhikari Shah used to keep many fasts and engage day
and night in the worship of Allah. And he used to eat barley bread
and vegetable curry which will be in bitter taste. And with this he
will break his fasting. And one day her sister due to love of her
brother she has put some oil in the vegetable curry. He went to
see his sister next day and he was told her that last night there was
no fondness in the Tahjud supererogatory prayer. And my purity
of the heart was become dim in this matter.Then his sister told
him about her adding of the some oil into the vegetable curry.He
told her that “ Oh my sister keep me away from this favour and
love. And next time do not repeat it never.”
When he will break his fast then at that time while putting many
kinds of the food in the dishes he will raise his hand and send his
food to Hazrat Shah Noman Assir by the help of his miracle and
at that time Shah Noman used to say his disciples to eat this
benediction which is from the shirne of Hazrat Ganj Shaker.
Shah Noman also at the time breaking of the fast used to send
his food in the same way to Hazrat Shah Bhikari.He also used to

say his disciples to eat this benediction which is from shrine of


Hazrat Maudud Chisti.

There are many of his miracles and supernatural habits of


Hazrat Bhikari Shah. Due to fear of the length, it could not be
mentioned in detail.
1.Start of the Atavni river2. The acceptance of Islam by Sadhu
(Hindu ascetic) and reaching upon the status of saintliness.3.To
pray upon the death of the son of his sister and the boy becoming
in alive condition.4. Drinking the remaining water of ablution of
Shah Bhikari by Shah Mansur and his obtaining the condition of
Majzubi (one lost in divine meditation) as well position of
saintliness. All these are his miracles.
His daughter Shah Hidayat Allah was a pious woman of the
time and as well as a worshipper of the time. Due to her courage
and generosity, she was called Rabia Thani.
Hazrat Bhikari Shah has 120 disciples with him and among
them, he was given caliphate to 40 persons. And among them,
there was the great status of Shah Hameeduddin and he was given
him by his hands the dress and turban and other benedictions to
him. Hazrat Shah Hameed Uddin has compiled the events of his
life in the shape of the Malfuzat (discourses) book.
The name of his famous disciples is as follows :1. Hazrat Shah
Mansur Majzub.2. Shaikh Barkat Allah 3.Peer Kaka 4.Qazi Daud
5.Shaikh Shukerallah 6.Shaikh Sudhari 7.Meeran Syed Pyara
8.Shaikh Manjud.
Death: He has left the world on 12th Rabbil Awwal in the year
907 Hegira on the Thursday at the age of 70 years. His tomb is
situated at the bank side of the river Aravali.

Death anniversary: His death anniversary will be held every


year on the 12th Rabbil Awwal and the Maghrib prayer is
performed on the vast ground at the bank side of the river and in
which there were used to present one lakh devotees and visitors.
Respectable Syed Hafiz Meer is present custodian and trustee
of the shrine of Hazrat Shah Bhikari and due to favour of
innermost and who used to engage in the service of the mankind.
There is found favour of spiritualism in this place.

6. Hazrat Shah Noman Chisti Assari

His genealogical link: He was Shamsuddin Hafiz Shirazi Bin


Khaja Nooruddin Bin Khaja Sharafuddin Bin Khaja Mohammed
Zahid and belongs to the sons of Hazrat Maudud Chisti. And this
link is ended on Hazrat Maudud Chisti and who died in the year
517 Hegira. He was among the caliphs of Hazrat Alauddin Zia
Chisti. And his ancestor Khaja Sharafuddin who by traveling and
tourism came to India and then he has settled down in Khuldabad.
And from Khaja Sharafuddin Hazrat Nooruddin was born. And
who was a learned person and as well as the person of excellence.
And from him, Hazrat Khaja Hafiz was born. And who was
famous for miracles and supernatural habits as well in the
mystical exercises. And his son is Hazrat Shah Noman. And he
obtained the grace of Chistia Sufi order from Shah Nizamuddin
and his tomb is in Mongipatnam who was the caliph of Hazrat
Nizamuddin.
When he was 12 years old then there was found interest in
him to learn knowledge of mysticism and reality. And he was
pledge on the hands of Hazrat Sultan Alauddin Zia Doulatabadi
with many mystical exercises and the difficulty he was passed the

stages of mysticism. And he was obtained saintly dress of the


caliphate and permission. And he was appointed as a person of
the saintliness of the Khandesh region.
When he came under the fort of Assirgarh where there is a
mosque and shrine building is situated there. Then at that time,
one tigress came near to him with the intention to attack the group
of the Hazrat. When she has seen lights of the face and his grace
then she has put her head on Hazrat's foot. And after some time
she has brought her cubs in his foot.
When there came near the time of prayer then he smiled and he
asked the tigress to show him a water spring. And she went toward
the north side. And after some time Hazrat was reached near one
water spring along with his companions. Then there was came
thought in the heart of Hazrat that this spring will be dried up in
the summer season. So he went to another side and has given a
sign by his staff then at that place water spring was started at that
time. When there came the next prayer time then Hazrat was used
sweet water for his ablution there. He told that this spring will
continue always and the people call this a Swary water spring.
Hazrat was settled down in this place and for a long period of
time and he used to visit around the fort of the Asir and he did not
eat other things except to eat grass and shrubs only. He used to
live almost all the time in fasting. And always he will be used to
live in the Chilla (Chilla in Persian and Arabic both literally
"forty") is a spiritual practice of penance and solitude in Sufism
known mostly in Indian and Persian traditions. ... The word chilla
is derived from the Persian word chehel "forty". Chilla is
commonly performed in a solitary cell called a chilla-khana.) He
used to live in loneliness condition for a period of many months.
The wild animals and deers who were become intimate with him

so, for this reason, they will be used to live around him always
and used to talk with him.
As per the order of Allah when there will come deer or any wild
animals into the shrine building then his disciples used sacrificed
and eat its flesh and used to keep bones and skins together. When
Hazrat will come outside of his room then he will sign with his
staff to those bones and skins then at that time the animals will
get life by the order of Allah and went away from the shrine
building.
One Jogi (Hindu ascetic) and his name was Sidh Nath and he
used to live on the mountain of Asirgarh fort. And he was perfect
in his knowledge and who has devotion with Hazrat. And he used
to be present almost in the service of the Hazrat. One day he came
with one paper packet in which there was an elixir in it. And he
told him that “Anything which is soft by fire heating and on it by
pasting of this elixir then that thing will be converted into the pure
gold.And that thing will be in such condition which was
converted by the elixir for this reason.” He was smiled and taken
the packet from his hands and blown it in the air. Upon seeing this
Jogi has become unconscious. And when he has become
conscious then Hazrat told him that “Rest assured and stood and
bring stones here which can possible to bring by you as per your
willingness. He was stood from there and brought one big stone
with help of his two hands there. Then he has looked at that stone
so that stone converted into pure gold. He told “To whom Allah
has given such respect and power so why he will involve in
this mortal act of the chemistry.” At that time Jogi recited Islamic
creed he has become Muslim. He was helped to pass the stages of
mysticism in 2 or 3 years. And was granted him saintly dress. Jogi
lived with him till the last period of his life. And his grave is near
the tomb of Hazrat.

There were a large number of his disciples and caliphs but


among seven caliphs who are well known and famous as follows.
Shah Nizamuddin Bin Shah Noman, Syed Pyara and his grave are
near the tomb of Shah Bhikari, Shaikh Ishaque, Shaikh Manjhu
son in law of Shah Mansur Mazjub, Shaikh Budh and his grave
are under Asirgarh fort, Shaikh Ahmed, Mohammed Yakjadi,
Syed Johar Chisti and his grave is in the Egyptian city. In this
way, by the blessing of the personality of Shah Noman, there was
reached favour to many thousand persons and as well as many
persons were benefitted by his spiritual benefits. And many
thousand people were entered into the fold of the Islamic religion.
Hazrat Shah Noman left this mortal world on first Rabbil
Awwal in the year 881 Hegira corresponding to the year 1476
A.D.
His tomb is situated near Asirgarh fort on the hills and is
famous even today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the
persons who visit his tomb.
7. Hazrat Shaikh Ali Muttaqi
Hazrat Shaikh Ali Muttaqi was a great learned person during the
Faroqi Kingdom in Burhanpur. He was born in the year 885
Hegira corresponding to 1480 A.D at Burhanpur. And his father
is Husamuddin Bin Abdul Malik Bin Qazi Khan Chisti Al-Madni.
And his father was a well known learned person of Jaunpur. And
then he was migrated from Janupur and was settled down in
Burhanpur.
When his age was 8 years old when his father was taken to him
in the presence of the city’s well-known learned person and who
also the perfect holy person of his time. And made him his
disciple and he was in his presence till his adult period under his
training and teaching. And due to living in the company of Hazrat
he has a passion for reality and has known the instability of the

world and he has hate for the temporary comfort and luxury of the
world. He has with him the passion of the love of the prophet. He
has spent all his life following the Islamic law of the Shariat. After
the death of his father and his spiritual master in the year 912
Hegira in the beginning period of his youth, he was joined in the
service of one noble person. And during this period when there
was created passion of the love of Allah so for this reason he has
left the world. The money which he was gathered and was
distributed among poor and needy persons. And he was returned
back to Burhanpur. And he went into the presence of Shaikh
Abdul Hakim who was the son of Hazrat Shaikh Bajan and he
was obtained from him spiritual favour and blessing. And he was
obtained saintly dress from him.
As per the instruction of the spiritual master he went to Multan
for further studies. And upon reaching there he was studied the
exegesis of Baizavi and other books of Hadith by well-known
learned person Shaikh Husamuddin.And upon obtaining
knowledge and in his habit there was created interest for the tour
and travels.
Shaikh Ali came from Multan to Gujrat and he was lived in
Ahmedabad. At that time there was the rule of Bahadur Shah. The
ruler was very much affected by him. He was given some advice
to the king. The king has paid him one crore Tinkas through Qazi
Abdulla as an offering to him. But he did not accept this amount
and by saying there is no need he has returned back offering
amount to the king.
After the death of King Bahadur Shah in the year 942 Hegira
Sultan Mahmood has become ruler of the Gujrat. And this king
was also among the devotees of the Shaikh Ali. At that time his
heart became upset with India so for this reason, he went to
Makkah along with his disciple Shaikh Abdul Wahab Muttaqi and

upon reaching there he was settled down permanently in Makkah


city. Where he has met with a famously learned person shaikh of
exegesis Abul Hasan Bakri. And he was a famous learned person
of his time as well as a perfect holy person. And Shaikh Ali has
become his disciple. And in this way, he was increased his
knowledge and excellence. And after him with Shaikh
Mohammed Bin Mohammed Saqvi was obtained caliphate in Sufi
chain of Quaderia. And after him from the famous learned person
of religion Shaikh Nooruddin and he was entered in his circle of
Shazlia and he has obtained caliphate. At last from Abu Madin
Maghrabi he has obtained caliphate in the chain of Madnia. He
also got the excellence of becoming a disciple of Sufi learned
person Ibn Hajr Makki. In this way, he has become famous among
great learned persons of Makkah city. So he was seen with much
respect and honour there. From him, many Arab learned persons
have taken lessons of exegesis of Quran and were become famous
and well known.
After that, he was engaged in the work of writing and
compilation of the books. For the book of Shaikh Jalaluddin’s
Sweti Jamaal-Jama he was arranged chapters as per Islamic law
(Islamic jurisprudence) of this book as per the alphabetical order.
Then for this work, he has compiled a separate collection. There
is one book Talbis Tariq which is written by him. And which
should be thinking as the revelation of the invisible. There is
another book which is known as Majma Hakim Al-Kabir. And in
which there is written about stages of the Sufism.
He used to keep during his journey two bags with him always.
And in one bag he used to keep rice, mash (a pulse made from
vetch), and flour. And three pots. And in another bag, he used to
keep the Holy Quran and other books in it. He used to prepare his
food with his hands. He used to get his livelihood only by the

copying work of the books. It has happened many times that in


the jungle areas the wild animals who used go to the wells and see
with surprise the water with much deeper level inside. And then
there will come water with pressure from inside to the upper level
of the well so at that time the animals used to drink water from
that well as well Hazrat will also drink water at that time. Shaikh
Ali Muttaqi who was included among the Muslim poets of the
Hindi language and his one sample couplet in Hindi is as follows.
Soun re sahlei prem ki batan
Yun milrahe jiun dudh nabatam

This couplet’s meaning and the translation is as follows that the


lover and beloved meet together and mixed like milk and sugar-
candy. It means annihilation in Allah. This is the final stage on
the Journey of return to Allah and will become status of the Baqaa
Billah eternal life in God The Creator) This is the state in which
man comes back to his existence and God appoints him to guide
the humans.
Regarding Shaikh Ali Muttaqi, Moulana Abul Hasan Nadvi
who told these details during his speech in Burhanpur and he said
about this event that one holy person who has seen the prophet in
his dream and that person has was asked with the prophet who is
that person who is loved by Allah?. And the prophet told him that
“He is Shaikh Ali Mutaaqi Burhanpuri.” In the book Marital
Ahmedi and in its Urdu translation is named Tariq Auliya Gujrat
and it is mentioned that once Shaikh Abdul Wahad Mutaqi who
was seen in his dream that once he was asked the prophet in his
dream who is an excellent person during this time.? And the
prophet told him that Miya Ghouse Bharochi then your teacher
Ali Mutaqi and after him Mohammed Taher. Moulana Mohamed
Taher belongs to the Bohara community and his name was

Mohammed and his title was Mujaduddin. And an exemplary


learned person of his time and he has completed his knowledge
with help of learned persons of Makkah. In the knowledge of
exegesis, he has perfected with him. And he used to live much
time in the company of Shaikh Ali Mutaqi. And he has become
his disciple. In the knowledge of the exegesis and many books
were written by him. And among them one book which is named
Majma Al-Bahar and which exceeds in status with the
commentary of Saha Sitta and also he has written one magazine
and which is the correction of the book Isma Alrejal. And he has
written one more book Tadhkira Muzat.In the prefaces of these
books, he has mentioned praise and excellence much about
Shaikh Ali Mutaqi. He was followed his habit as per the order of
his shaikh to prepare ink as such that during the time of teaching
of his shaikh he used to engage in this work of the ink preparation
and after the preparation of ink, he used to distribute the ink
prepared by him among the students of the assembly.
Shaikh Ali Mutaqi is well known in the Islamic world for his
work of the compilation of the book Kanzal Amal. He was the
person responsible to made Abdul Haque a great Muhadis
(Muhaddith's name meaning is Transmitter, Interpreter of Hadith)
king perfect in spiritualism and in the knowledge of exegesis. And
Abdul Wahab Mutaqi Nurhanpuri was his teacher as well as his
spiritual master and who was a great Muhadis of his time and he
was a disciple of Shaikh Ali Mutaqi.
Shaikh Ibn Hajr Makki who an Islamic Jurist of Makkah city
and who a great learned person of his time. And in the beginning
time, he was the disciple of the shaikh. And many times he has
mentioned his being a real disciple in this matter. And he was
become his disciple and has obtained dress of the saintliness.

Shaikh Fazal well known as Nayeb Rasul Abu Mohammed


Arafi, Sultan Mahmood Thani, and Hafiz Saeed Allah were also
among his disciples and students.
Death: He has left this mortal world on 2nd Jamid Awwal in the
year 975 Hegira and his tomb is situated in Makkah. Upon the
death of the shaikh, many persons have said chronogram date as
follows.
Shaikh Makkah, Mutabat Nabvi,Qazi Nahba = 975 Hegira year.
The first two dates have mentioned by the learned persons of
Makkah city and the last one was mentioned by Azad Bilgirami
in his book Subhata Marjan and which is derived from verse
Ahzab.
Upon the death of the shaikh when Abul Wahab Mutaqi who
was read the letter given him and in which it was written that “
Brothers have mercy of Allah upon all of you and the entrusted
thing which was with me and I have given to suitable and eligible
persons.”

8. Hazrat Shaikh Mohammed Lakshar Arif Billa

He was among the caliphs of Hazrat Mohammed Gawaliori and


they followed the famous Sufi system of the Shuttaria. But he has
obtained graces from the Sufi chain of Quaderia, Chistia, and
Naqshabandia.
His spiritual chain is as follows.

Hazrat Shaikh Mohammed Ghouse Gawaliori, Hazrat Shaikh
Mohammed Lakshar Arif Billa.
There was his great spiritual favour to the many thousand
people by him. And his caliph Hazrat Shah Eisa Jandalla and his
title were Masih Al-Auliya. And he was well known learned
person as well as a person of excellence. And a perfect holy
person. Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya upon his will has written
commentary of Abdulla Bilyani’s Arabic magazine Wahidt-Ul
Wajud in the Persian language. In the preface of the book, he was
written couplets in the praise of his spiritual master. And first
couplet's translation is as follows.

The perfect master is like an army


And guide for the clean and right way

Masih AL-Auliya was custodian and trustee of the shrine


building of his spiritual master. With special arrangement on the
day of Eid Al-Fitr which is the day of the death anniversary of
Hazrat Shaikh Lashkar and he was died in the year 993 Hegira at
the age of 70 years. First day Urs celebration will be conducted in
his drawing room and next day in the shrine building there will
be held death anniversary (Urs) ceremony and in which there was
the system that at the time of Maghrib after breaking of the fast
of the six days fasting during Shawwal month and they used to
reach Rastipur then all shaikhs and learned person of the city will
gather there. And the prayer of Eisha there will be held in an
assembly of the Holy prophets’ nativity meeting and which will
be continued till midnight. Abdul Raheem singer who will recite

encomium of the Arabic in the praise of the prophet in the voice


of depth of feeling. And for this reason, there will be prevailed
condition of frenzy and ecstasy in the assembly. After some
sufficient interval, the meeting of the Holy prophet’s nativity will
be re-started and then Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya stood and walk and
discover ten foot's distance and all person of the holy persons who
will follow them in this matter. The persons who will attend the
work floral garland of the tomb will carry on the trays of the scent,
flowers, and benediction on their heads and the procession will
go toward the shrine and after every ten foots it will stop there
and Shaikh will touch the staff with his throat then Abdul Raheem
will finish here one encomium. And in this way by stopping at the
distance of ten foots the procession will stop and there will be one
encomium will be recited there and at last, the procession will
reach the tomb at the time of the early morning. And first after
praying of the Fajr prayer then there will be pasting of
sandalwood, and the spray of the scent and flower garlands on the
shrine, and after the recitation of Fateha all people will be
dispersed from there. Then he will return back to the spiritual
master’s drawing room and after collecting benediction from
Hazrat Bibi Rasti he will go back to the shrine building. And on
the same night, he will revive the ceremony of the Urs in his
shrine. One time Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya has said quatrain in the
praise of his spiritual master.
Shaikh Mubarak Sindi from him Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya has
taken the lesson of the books and Hazrat Lashkar upon becoming
his disciple and from the preface of Sharah Qaisari has completed
the lessons from beginning to the end.
Visit of the holy persons: In the year 747 Hegira year he went to
Delhi and was benefitted from the company of Hazrat
Naseeruddin Chiragh Dehlavi and he has obtained many favours.

Afterward, he has visited the tomb of Hazrat Baba Farid Ganj


Shaker and from the custodian of the shrine, he has obtained relics
of the Hazrat Ganj Shaker from there.
Shaikh Ibrahim Quaderi Shuttari Sindhi to whom Hazrat
Ghouse Gwaliori was told Murg Lahoti because he used to teach
people of the demand the Quranic recitation method of angel
Gabriel. And the holy caliph of Hazrat Laskar Shah but Masih Al-
Auliya and Shaikh Lashkar both were students of Shaikh Ibrahim
in the knowledge of recitation of the Quran.
Hazrat Shaikh Babu Sindhi was also a disciple of Shaikh
Lashkar. And he used to reside away from the shrine building of
Shaikh Masih Al-Auliya in one room made of unbaked bricks.
And due to much of the rainwater gradually the walls of the room
were fallen there. And this is the event of the year 1003 Hegira.
And he has spent his 12 years of life in this deserted place. And
after his death, he was buried in this place in the year 1012 Hegira.
After some time many of the famous Sufi persons who were
buried around his place of burial. So on one high platform, there
were buried many of the Sufi persons there. And still, these graves
are found at this place. And now this locality is well known as
Khaki Shah’s Takiya (hermitage).
There is one saying of Hazrat Mohammed Laskhar is that “ If
his disciples in the case will be a revolt against him then also he
will free him from the punishment of the sins on the day of the
judgment.”
In the assemblies of the Hazrat Lashkar when the person
discusses the miracles of the holy persons then he did not like this
matter. So some person has asked him that “ You did not believe
the excellence of the closed persons of Allah.” So he told that “
How he will not accept the miracles of the holy persons. But the
people think of holy person’s miracles as their perfection which

is not right. And which is not liked by me because miracles


against their excellence and spiritual nearness to Allah is nothing
comparing to it. So then giving importance to the lowest thing
than the higher thing is one kind of their insult in this matter.”
His daughter Hazrat Rasti Bi Bi who has obtained the
position of saintliness. And locality Rasti Pura is famous and well
known in her name.
One time Abdul Raheem Khan Khanan and his son Darab was
requested with Masih Al-Auliya that we are fond to hear lessons
of Rasti Bi Bi and if you come with us then we can get this felicity
in this matter. And he has requested this matter. And then at that
time, she was giving a lesson on the book Lamat which is written
by Fakheruddin Iraqi, and Jami was written its commentary in the
year 881 Hegira and given its name Ismat Lamat. And Nuhat
Arwah written by Hazrat Sadat Hussaini. And she was well
known for giving lessons on the above great books of Sufism. At
that time the lessons were in progress in the assembly and these
persons were benefitted there for a long period of time.
His tomb is situated in his room. He has left this mortal world
in the year 993 Hegira. Some distance from his tomb his father’s
tomb is there and his name is Hazrat Shaikh Laskar.

9.Hazrat Shah Nizamuddin

He was well-known son of the Hazrat Shah Noman Asseri


Burhanpuri and he was Qutub (Qutb, Qutub, Kutb, Kutub or
Kotb, means 'axis', 'pivot' or 'pole'. Qutb can refer to celestial
movements and be used as an astronomical term or a spiritual
symbol. In Sufism, a Qutb is the perfect human being, al-Insān al-
Kāmil ('The Universal Man'), who leads the saintly hierarchy.) of
Arif persons (persons in Sufism and Alevism, ma'rifa (Arabic:

romanized: ma'rifah, lit. 'knowledge') describes the mystical


intuitive knowledge of spiritual truth reached through ecstatic
experiences, rather than revealed or rationally acquired. A seeker
of ma'rifa is called 'arif, "the one who knows". And spiritual
master of the mystic persons. And he was a person of knowledge
and excellence. He has obtained favours of mystic way and
wealth of the caliphate from his father. He was used to be engaged
always in worship and mystical exercises. He got the excellence
of the pledge from his father.
Due to the excellence of his personality many people which
were benefitted in the favour of innermost and manifest in the
country of Deccan. Upon the death of his father, he was given
much decoration to the crown of his teaching and preaching. In
his assembly of Sama (hearing ) one who will come then he will
have come involved in the fondness of love of the passion of the
Allah suddenly. And he will become a person of Zakir
(invocation).
He went to visit Hazrat Alauddin Zia and Hazrat Burhanuddin
Auliya. And there was prevailed passion upon seeing them. And
in such passion, he went toward the tomb of Hazrat Burhanuddin
Auliya. And he has recited this couplet as follows.

To today show your beauty of the manifest


With surprise, it is requested to fulfill my call

There was a lock on the door of the tomb and Shah Nizamuddin
went to the door and he has struck his hand on the lock. And he
was called “Ya Burhanuddin to open the door. Nizamuddin Shah
Bin Shah Noman Asseri who came in your service.” And at the
same time lock of the door was opened. Then he has visited the
grave of Shah Burhanuddin. He has stayed three days on the tomb

of the Hazrat Burhanuddin. And he has given him the benefit of


the manifest there.
After his death his son sat on his throne of teaching and
preaching and was given excellence to it.
He has left this mortal world in the year 883 Hegira. And his
holy tomb is situated on the end side of the Assirgarh fort in
Burahpur and which is near the tomb of Shah Noman. And which
is famous even today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of
the persons who visit his tomb.

10.Hazrat Shah Shabaz

His complete name is Malik Sharauddin Ibn Abdul Quddus Ilahi.


And he has got caliphate and grace from Hazrat Shah Ali Qatib
Ahmedabadi.
He was a learned person as a spiritualist and he was eligible
and in excellence knower of secrets of mysticism. And he is
known as unitarian in solitude and individualization.
In the beginning, he was a person of the riches and wealth
and a member of the kingdom. And he was a resident of
Ahmedabad city. Due to the difference with the ruler, he was
going to Burhanpur during the rule of Adil Shah Faruqi and the
king has arranged for his residence near the fort Assirgarh with
much respect and honor.

When his age was 14 years old and his father left the world.
And his other brothers who were engaged in the dealings of the
world. But he was engaged always in acquiring the knowledge.

One day he was met with one Majzub (one lost in divine
meditation) person. That person told him some matters harshly in
the style of Majzub. But he has put his head down by respect and
heard his instruction in this matter. Then that Majzub person told
in his ear that “ Why he did not meet any holy person. So that he
can give you news about yourself in this matter.” Upon hearing
this he went toward his house. In the dream, he was seen after
passing of the midnight that one holy person who was standing in
the courtyard, and in the loud voice he was reciting the following
verse from the holy Quran.
The Quran says, “O you who believe! Fear Allah and seek a
wasila to him”(5:35). ...

Upon hearing this then there is a flame that inflamed the love
of Allah in his heart and with this his soul and life enlightened.
And so in this passion, he went toward Ahmedabad. Upon
reaching there he went into the presence of Hazrat Shah Ali Qatib
and who caliph of Hazrat Qutub Alam. When he has seen on his
face the brilliance of lights of Allah so he was accepted his pledge
on his hands. He was engaged in the service of that holy person
in the mystical exercise and worship. Afterward upon obtaining
permission of his spiritual master he went to Burhanpur. And
when he has reached near the city then he has taken some resting
in one garden there. He has seen a dream there in which one holy
person of light was giving me glad tiding of the title of Shabaz.
And from that day he became well known and famous with the
title of Shabaz. He was a contemporary holy person of Hazrat
Shah Bajan, Hazrat Shah Bhikari, Hazrat Shah
Hussain Khudanuma and Hazrat Jalal Shah Quaderi etc. and for a
long period of time he was in loneliness and almost all time he

used to visit the jungle areas and he used to engage at the side of
the river in mystical exercise and worship of Allah.
The people of the village were facing problems by the theft of
the thieves and so, for this reason, they used to wake up in the
night time in the village.
In that jungle, the thief used to live in one cave. And he used
to harm and cause trouble to the people of the village. Once that
thief came into the village and what he has seen that one person
of light who was engaged in the revelation in his room. And near
at the door of Hazrat dangerous wild animals are sitting with
much respect and honour there. When the animals have seen the
thief then they have convered him from all sides. Then there was
prevailed condition of shivering upon the body of the thief due to
fear. When Hazrat came out of the room for ablution then he has
seen the thief and has asked him who are you.? .Then he has told
his story to him with much humility and Shaikh Sahib has given
his advice to him and there was the effect on his heart. And his
heart was enlightened with the faith of the Islamic religion. Then
at that time, he has recited the Islamic creed and he was entered
into the fold of the Islamic religion. And Hazrat has given him the
name Kamaluddin. And till the life of the shaikh, he was lived in
his company. Due to his company and affection, he has obtained
the position of perfection.
One time one group of Sufi persons came into that jungle. The
group of those people who were suffering badly due to thirstiness
and hunger. And upon seeing the room of the shaikh they went
into his presence and by the revelation of innermost shaikh was
able to know their condition of thirstiness and hunger. At that time
there was nothing in the room of the shaikh for feeding the guests.
He came into his room and engaged in the encomium of Allah
and then he went into the prostration. So at that time, there came

heavenly sweet and hot bread came from the side of the sky. And
he himself has distributed among the guests. The group of the
persons has eaten with fondness and to full of their stomach. And
after eating they have taken some rest and afterward they left from
there. So shaikh went into prostration for the thanks of Allah.
One time he was taking rest under the shadow of the tree and he
was seen in the dream that there is punishment on the dead body
of one person in the grave. Then the shaikh was requested in the
presence of the last prophet of Allah. Then there was stopped the
punishment in the gave. Due to the personality of blessing, there
were many benefits of manifest and innermost to many thousand
persons. He used to busy much in the endeavours, supererogatory
prayers, and remembrance of Allah. And for this reason, he has
obtained perfection in the personality of brilliance and secrets of
engrossment.
He was a mystic person of reality and a follower of reality. In
the excellence of knowledge, he has all perfection. He used to
engage always in the remembrance of Allah in loud voice and in
the hidden voice. He has seen the prophet and Hazrat Ali Ibn
Taleb R.A. in the dream and he has obtained knowledge of reality
and knowledge of God.
Death: At the time of Tahjud supererogatory prayer on Sunday
on the tenth Rabbil Thani in the year 934 Hegira corresponding
to 1528 A.D. He left from this mortal world during the time of
Mohammed Shah Bin Adil Shah Faruqi and his tomb is situated
outside of Burhanpur in the southern side of the Doulat ground.
And at the eastern side, there are tombs of kings of the Faruqi
kingdom of Burhanpur.

11. Hazrat Meran Syed Bahlul


His name is Syed Bahlul. He was the son of Hazrat Shah
Bahuddin Bajan and his genealogical link is in the connection in
the 22nd generation with Hazrat Zaid Bin Qattab who was the
brother of Hazrat Umar Bin Qattab R.A. And he was the disciple
of his father.
He was Majzub and mystic initiated. There will use to come
passion upon him then he used to leave the city and go to the
jungle area. When he will be in the condition of mystic initiated
then regularly he will be used to be engaged in the worship,
prayers, and mystical exercise.
He was benefitted by Sufi Shain of Chistia. He has shown the
way of guidance to many thousand students. And he was caused
to reach them to the final destination.
Death: He has left this mortal world on 15th Rabil Thani in the
year 950 Hegira.
His mausoleum is on the way to Assirgarh near Burhanpur and
which is visited by a large number of visitors and famous even
today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the persons who
visit his tomb.
12. Hazrat Shaikh Ibrahim Quaderi
His ancestral native place in Sindh. He was a famous caliph of
Hazrat Shaikh Laskhar Arif Mohammed Billah Yalduzi. He was
perfect in the knowledge of recitation of the Quran and by living
in the company of the great personality of Hazrat Shaikh Lasker
Arif Mohammed Billah Yalduzi he has obtained a great position
in spiritualism.
When Shaikh Laskar went into the presence of Hazrat Ghouse
Qawaliori when he was blessed with his pledge then at that time
Hazrat Shaikh Ibrahim was with him there. When Shaikh Ghouse
has about his connection he has told him about his good faith and

perfection as well as services with his shaikh. Ghouse Auliya has


much interested in the method of the recitation of the holy Quran.
So Hazrat Ghouse was much happy to learn about him and he was
given instruction to lead the prayers with him and Hazrat was
leaded prayers before him for a period of 11 years. And due to his
good style of recitation of the Holy Quran, he was much affected
and for this reason, he has given him the title of Murg Lahoti.
Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya and his spiritual masters are his disciples
in the knowledge of the recitation of the Holy Quran.
One time he along with his spiritual master Hazrat Lashkar who
was staying with his grand spiritual Peer. Due to his good style of
recitation of the holy Quran Hazrat Ghouse Auliya was much
affected by him and he was given him his saintly dress as a gift.
But Shaikh Ibrahim could not move further to take the gift from
his side. But he was sitting there by paying the attention to his
spiritual master. Shaikh Arif told him why he did not take it.? And
with much respect, he told him that “If he will give then he will
take it.” Upon this Hazrat, Ghouse Auliya was much happy in this
matter and he told that “It is compulsory for the disciple that he
should not have any relation with any other person except his
spiritual master.”
Shaikh Ibrahim used to lead prayers in the mosque of Masih Al-
Auliya for a period of many years for praying five-time prayers
in the arch of the mosque.
In spiritualism, he has the higher status that one time one
person told him that at the time of eating one should remember
his sustenance giver. Then at that time, Shaikh Ibrahim told that
“With Ibrahim, the real Sufi is that person one who without
observation of real sustenance of the giver he should not stretch
his hand toward the food.” He was the fellow disciple of Masih
Al-Auliya and Shaikh Jind Allah. He was done service of his

shaikh for a period of 20 years and always he used to go jungle


and brought the woods on his head and used to take to city bazaar
and sell it. And from that amount, he will spend on the food of his
spiritual master.
He was engaged in many years in, mystical exercise and
worship as well as mortification and in endeavors.
The ruler of time Sultan Meeran Mohammed Shah Faroqui
desired that he should teach the holy Quran to his wives in the
royal palace in the veil. But he did not accept this responsibility
in this matter.
He was engaged in the service of his Peer for a period of many
years. And he was busy with hard tasks in this matter.
He has many disciples with him and among them famous was
Shaikh Abdul Raheem Karunchi and who has given him caliphate
in the Sufi chain of Shutaria.
Death: He died in the year 991 Hegira and his chronogram date
is Sahib Faiz. And his tomb is near Adilpur in Burhanpur and
which is visited by a large number of visitors and famous even
today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the persons who
visit his tomb.

13. Hazrat Shah Mansour Majzub

He was among the caliphs of Shah Bhikari. He was the son of


Jalal Malik who was the minister of Sultan Aina Adil Shah
Faruqi.As per the suitability of his name he has desired the status
of Hazrat Mansour. He used to go in the presence of Shah Bhikari
and used to engage in the remembrance of Allah, endeavours, and
worship. And he has obtained a position in endeavours and
mystical exercise.

One day Shah Bhikari was in the condition of fondness and he


was sat for ablution. And Hazrat Mansour who was pouring the
water on his hands. And when ablution was finished then Hazrat
Mansour by his good faith has lifted the jug of water of ablution
and by thinking it as the mercy of the river he was drunk the
remaining whole water. And at the same time condition of
uneasiness and passion which was prevailed upon him there. So
he was forget everything except Allah. And after some days he
was removed his dress from the body and began moving in the
bazaar and localities.
His condition of Majzub (one lost in divine mediation ) was as
such that sometimes he was used to praying with the leader and
go into prostration and when the Imam will stand from the
prostration but he will remain in the prostration.
On every Friday night, he will reach Makkah at the time of
Maghrib prayer and will engage in circumambulation of the
Kaaba and come back to Burhanpur.
Once came a traveler in the shrine building of Hazrat Ibrahim
Kalhuda and he was asked where Hazrat Mansur live in this city.?
And I want to meet with him. Hazrat has asked him what you have
work with him.? He told him that “ He was lived in Makkah city
for a period of 3 years and I used to see there one darwesh person
in the night of the Friday who used to come there without
headcover and wearing lungi will be present there and used to
engage in the circumambulation. Then after that, he will not found
there by search there. By chance, one holy person came there and
I was asked with him about the darwesh who did not cover his
head and wear the lungi on his body. And who told that he is
Hazrat Shah Mansour Majzub and who is residing in the city of
Burhanpur in the country of India. So from that time he has much
desire to meet him.”

Hazrat Ibrahim Kalhuda told him that “He is a Majzub person


and it is not good to reveal his secret in this matter.” He has
prohibited him not to go and meet with him there. But he did not
agree on this matter. He went toward Shah Mansour. Then at that
time, Hazrat Ibrahim was given instruction to his disciples to keep
the ready funeral arrangement of one person as well as dig one
grave.

When that traveler reached before Shah Mansour and said


Salam to him and he was stood there. And he began talking with
him in the freestyle with him there. And he told him about all his
miracles and he began telling him that “ May Allah be praised
what is your personality,? And who on every Friday night used to
visit Makkah for circumambulation.” Upon hearing this Hazrat
told him harshly that “Do not disclose secrets in this matter. And
do not involve mocking with him.” But he has continued his
conversation. And he told him that “ You are Mansour Thani.
Then he came in the condition of majestic and in angry condition
he told him that “There is no equality of this Mansour with that
Mansour. That Mansour who has given his head for cutting and
who was stood at the cross and this Mansour who cuts the heads
of the other persons and hand the persons on the gilbert.” Then he
told him to go from there. Upon hearing this the traveler stood
from there and began moving for some distance then there was
started stomach pain for him and he began suffering due to this
uneasiness and he went to the shrine building of Shaikh Ibrahim.
And he was requested for his salvation and health recovery. But
his life was over. But due to his recommendation, there was the
safety of his faith. And that traveler died on the same day.
One day Shaikh Kalhuda came to meet the pious person and
during that time he came into the look of Hazrat Mansour. And

he told him where you are going.? And he was shown indication
by his hand toward his shrine building. Shah Mansour was put his
palm on the earth was given movement to it by force. And by
stretching his hands and shown indication toward the sky. Upon
this short and silent talking, the holy persons went away on their
ways. At the outside of the way of the city, there was a brook on
the way of Shaikh Ibrahim. And in which there will find always
water level up to leg level. But on that day he was not able to cross
that brook as there much depth of the water level there. And due
to this reason, his horse began drowning in the water of the brook.
Due to this difficulty of the brook, he was surprised very much
and he was passing through many difficulties there so he has paid
attention to his spiritual master in this matter. And was requested
salvation of the help in the court of Allah. And due to the blessing
of the prayer, the brook water level becomes normal. He has
crossed the brook with comfort and peace. The persons who were
with him have asked the reason in this matter then he was told
them that “Shah Mansour by putting his hands on the earth told
me that he will drown him.” And I have raised my hands toward
the sky and told him that “If Allah wills I will pass from there.”
Even though there are many details of the excellence and
perfection and it is not possible to write the information of all of
them in the book. His date of death is 26th Rabil Thani in the year
958 Hegira. And on the tomb, there is one tablet on which it is
written as follows.
That was the month of the Rabil Thani
On the date of the 26, he has died
He was 100 years old at that time
When he was left this mortal world
Azad written his date of the chronogram

At the time of his death, he was 100 years old. And his tomb
is situated in the Kharari Bazaar and which is famous even today
for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the special and general
persons who visit his tomb.

He was a Sufi poet of his time. And his poetic name was
Mansour in his poetry. And one couplet’s translation and
interpretation are as follows.
World is your an enemy and you desire for the friend
But this place which makes you away from the friend

14. Mashi AL-Auliya Shaikh Jind Allah

There are two Eisa in the world who are famous


One is Eisa ibn Mariam and other is Eisa Ibn Qasim

His name is Shaikh Eisa but his titles are well known as Mashi
Al-Auliya, Mahsi Qulboob, and Jind Allah. He was migrated
from his native place in the year 951 Hegira along with his father
and uncle Shaikh Taher Mohadith and has reached Burhanpur
from the place Sindhipura and which is well known and in which
his family members and disciples have lived there. He was born
on the night of Monday on 5th Zil Hajj in the year 962 Hegira and
his early education was completed under the guidance of his
father. When he was nine years he has become Quran-conner and
he has acquired all knowledge under the guidance of his father
Shaikh Mohammed Qasim and uncle Shaikh Taher Mohadith.
Shaikh Shah Eisa was the disciple and special caliph of Hazrat
Laskhar Mohammed Arif in the Sufi chain of the Shuttaria. And

he was a pledge on the hands of Hazrat Shaikh Mohammed


Gwaliori. And due to favour of this shaikh who made him a
disciple and learned and a person of excellence and helped in the
grace of innermost. And who made him from Shaikh Eisa to
Masih al-Auliya, Mashi Mansab (position), and Mashi Qulub
(hearts).
As per the instruction of his spiritual master he was completed
Chilla (Chilla (Persian: Arabic -Arbun both literally "forty") is a
spiritual practice of penance and solitude in Sufism known mostly
in Indian and Persian traditions. ... The word chilla is derived
from the Persian word chehel "forty". Chilla is commonly
performed in a solitary cell called a chilla-khana.) for endeavours
of the soul at the bank of the river Tapti on the trust of Allah. For
a period of 40 days, it was his practice that he used to keep fast
and break with leaves of the Neem tree. And he used to say the
leaves of the Neem tree which were found by him sweet instead
of sour. When Chilla was ended then he went into the presence of
the shaikh and told him that “Thank Allah due to your attention
my chilla of trust was completed.” And Hazrat Lashkar
Mohammed told him that “Oh brother this poor person does not
have trust on Allah. And Allah is our guide in this matter.” (From
handwritten book Rawaij Nafsi part 2)
He used to find always in the condition of engrossment in the
asceticism and piety that he used to live without care of the food.
And many times it has happened that he was lived in this
condition for a period of 8 days without food.
As Shaikh Abdul Quader Jilani is Ghouse (helper) and he is
the king of the kingdom of the spiritualism of the world and in the
same way he was Ghouse was of his time and king of the spiritual
kingdom. The prophet has put his two hands on his chest by
affection and was told him that “You are ending personality of the

saintliness of the nation of the Mohammadia. Every time there


will be given this status to somebody and from him all holy
persons will get favour .” And this status was given to Hazrat Eisa
Jindallah by coming in the dream by the prophet.
There was the disciple of Hazrat Jindallah and his name was
Abdul Aziz Lahori. And he has much love with Hazrat so for this
reason he has left the house and everything in Lahore and began
living in the service of the Hazrat. When there will be passed
away for many periods of time then he will instruct him to go to
Lahore. So that he can go and live with his family members and
fulfill their rights and duties there. But he will stay there for some
period of time and used to come back in the service of Harat in
Burhanpur soon. One time there was strict instruction for him that
he should not come to Burhanpur unless and until there will be no
instruction in this matter from his side. When there was passed
away some time there then he has become uneasy. At last, he was
decided to go to Burhanpur the next day without further delay. If
Hazrat will be angry with him then he will bear it there. Before
his departure, to Burhapur he began engaging in the recitation of
the supplication of Saifi. When there was last part of the night
time was started then he was seen that Hazrat Jinad Allah was
present in his room. And he told him that “When I have asked you
not to come to Burhanpur then why you have decided to come to
Burhanpur?. Why you have disobeyed my instruction in this
matter?.” Abdul Aziz told him that “He was in the uneasy
condition to visit you. He told him “Now you can look him as per
his wish and pleasure of your heart to the most extent as this is
our last appearance here. And after this, there will be no our
visiting. And after this, he told him that “Now I am leaving as
morning time is near and I have to go to Burhanpur to lead there
morning prayer in the mosque.”

One Abdul Hakeem traveler and who was obtained favour


from the holy persons and he was reached to Burhanpur upon his
touring and travel program. And he has much devotion and love
with Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya and he used to attend almost all his
assemblies of the discourses. One day he was started on Eid day
with the intention to visit the shrine building. And he was thought
in his mind that there is no doubt about the perfection of his
holiness. And if there will be fulfilled of his two wishes by the
miracle of Hazrat then it will be a matter of his good fate. For him
in this matter.
1.To become all pebbles of the shrine area into silver and gold.
2.To day is Eid day and in every house, there will be cooked
Seweyan (sweet vermicelli dish with milk) sweet but I need soft
and hot bread with the topping of the ghee on them and which is
required by me for my eating.
Still, he was thinking in his mind and but could not be brought
his thought upon his tongue and he was entered into the shrine
building. And he was seen that all pebbles in the courtyard were
converted into the shape of silver and gold in reality. And he
wanted to take some of them as felicity but he could not have
courage in this matter.
Upon seeing him Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya told that some
people used to demand miracles from the prophet and then they
accept Islam but they could not have to get the meeting with
reality. And those who will have faith but they could not demand
the miracles from the prophet then they will have a position and
goal. Upon hearing this the traveler who was regretted in this
matter and he could not have the courage to stay there for a long
time and he has come to his hermitage and still, he was not sat
there and at that time one person came there and who brought for
him hot breads with a topping of the ghee upon them.

Hazrat Esia Jindallah was a person of miracles and revelation,


and from him, there were happened by him many of the
supernatural habits and it is difficult to write all such details as
well as it is not possible in this matter.
Nawab Abdul Rahim Khan Khanan has much love and devotion
with him. He used to send gift amount after midnight time. Then
Hazrat used to call and hand over that amount to Shaikh
Mohammed Sindhi and then there will be peace for him. And he
will have sound sleep. He said that “ The peace of Fakir is in such
thing is that whatever which is received by him should be given
to other person and it should be separated from him very soon.
And whether it may be a wealth of intimate knowledge of Allah.
Hazrat Jind Allah was also a famous poet of the Hindi language.
One day his disciple Hazrat Burhanuddin Raz Ilahi asked him
what is the world.? Then he was recited the following couplet.

The thing which keeps you away from God


So its name is called the mortal world

The thinking of the God which was inserted in his every vein
of the body. And due to the love of Allah, he was keep away from
the world and hereafter.
Books are written by him: Shah Jindallah who written a book in
the Persian language as Ain Mani and it is full of the secret of
intimate knowledge of Allah and mysticism. Faizal Karim the
exegesis of the Quran in the Arabic language and which is well
known for its lights and secrets. The other book Majma Bahrain
and commentary of the Isma Al-Husni and the magazine of
Sufism, Risala Khamsa, etc were his books which were written
by him.

From the above books, it is known the greatness and holiness


of Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya. And his innermost is enlightened with
the brilliance of Allah. Upon obtaining favour of innermost, Shah
Eisa Jandallah was engaged day and night in worship, mystical
exercise, endeavours of the soul, daily recital and teaching and
preaching as well as the guidance of the students of reality in
which he has spent away from his all life. By spending the life of
content and trust of Allah, Mashi Al-Auliya at the age of 70 years
he was left the mortal world on the date of 14th of Shawwal month
in the year 1031 Hegira. He was buried in his room.
Khan Khanan Abdul Raheem was constructed one grand tomb
over his grave and his final resting place in Sindhi Pura locality
and which is famous even today for the fulfillment of desires and
wishes of the special and general persons who visit his tomb.

15. Hazrat Burhanuddin Raz Ilahi


He was the famous and well-known caliph of Hazrat Masih Al-
Aulya. Due to his service and obedience of the perfect spiritual
master and for this reason, there was special favour and attention
of Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya which was available upon him very
much. And for this reason in a short period of time, he has
obtained the higher status of spiritualism. He was born in the year
998 Hegira in the village Rajhi Pargana in Border Khandesh and
from this place he was migrated in his younger age along with
family members to Burhanpur.

Upon the death of his parents, he was completed his education


and training under the guardianship of his uncle. While obtaining
the knowledge of manifest there was the passion for him for the
demand of the love Allah in his chest. So for this reason he went
into the presence of Hazrat Malak Hussain Banani and he has

become his disciple. Due to the death of Malik Hussain Banani,


the work of Hazrat Burhanuddin was left incomplete condition.
And for this reason, he used to live in uneasiness. And during this
time he was met one caliph of Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya and his
name was Shaikh Quddus. And who has taken him to the shrine
building of Masih al-Auliya. And at that time he was 19 years old.
Masih al-Auliya who was taught his dear disciple, spiritual
knowledge as well as an intimate knowledge of God, knowledge
of manifest, poetry, and literature, the science of prosody,
mathematics, logic, and made him perfect. Masih Al-Auliya has
given him caliphate and upon getting off the caliphate of the
excellence he was made his pious wife disciple of him as per the
order of his spiritual master. And his wife is on the top of the list
of disciples of Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya. Afterward, this chain of
Sufism was such came into the progress that people from various
categories in large number have become disciples of this chain of
Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya as per the reference from the book
Auliya Sindh.
There was born one son with Baba Fatah Mohammed and one
servant girl has taken to Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya. And he told her
that to take the baby to Shaikh Burhan and who will give the name
to the baby in this matter. And the servant girl went into the
service of the Hazrat and she told him about the instruction of the
Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya. And he has seen the baby with his one
look and smiled and he was chewing the betel leaf at that time and
some chewed betal leaf portion he has put into the mouth of the
baby. And he asked the servant girl to go from there. The servant
girl told him that “You did not give the name of the baby.” But he
told her that he has given name to the baby so she now go from
here.” That servant girl has returned back in the service of the
Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya and she has told him that he did not give

the name for the boy.” Hazrat has seen the boy in some colour
with betel leaf and he has said that “ What good name
Shahabuddin he was given to the boy.”
Shahabuddin due to the blessing of his given grace he has
become a great learned person, Quran conner, reader of the
Quran, and author of many books. Hazrat Burhanuddin has
allotted him on the duty of the leader of the mosque which was
adjacent to his shrine building.
One of the great miracle of Hazrat Burhanuddin Raz Ilahi
He has such habit with him so he used to keep away from the
persons of the world and as well as noble persons of the royal
court. Prince Aurangzeb at that time was governor of the
Burhanpur during the rule of Emperor Shah Jehan in India and
one day he was attended his assembly and when he came near
Hazrat to take benediction then he was recognized him and he
was told him that “This is the house of fakir person and there is
no need of the visit of the place by princes here. So you avoid to
coming here otherwise he will leave from this place to some
another place for this reason.”
So for this reason Aurangzeb has adopted another method to
reach in his presence. There was one servant woman of his house
and her name was Mama Lulu. And who used to live in his service
day and night of the Hazrat. Aurangazeb has done much service
to her and so for this reason she was agreed for her help to him.
And it was agreed that when Hazrat will come to the mosque then
there will be a request by him in this matter. Aurangzeb went as
per his plan and stood at his door of the shrine building. When
Hazrat came for the prayer when he has seen the prince at the door
he was stopped there. Aurangzeb has complained that Prince Dar
Shikwa did not make decisions as per Islamic Shariah law. And
he has told him his intention to rule as per Islamic Shariah law.

And he has requested in this matter his prayer for him. Hazrat told
him that “ What will be a result of the prayers of this fakir person.?
You are king you pray in this matter and I will say amen.”
Alamgir prayed in the court of Allah and Hazrat told amen. Due
to the result of this prayer, Aurangzeb has become Emperor of the
Mughal Kingdom in India.
He used to engage always in worship, supererogatory prayers,
as well as in asceticism and piety he has done many endeavours
and efforts in this matter.
His personality of blessing was complete of the perfection but
he did not think of revelation and miracles for eligible of worthy
of attention. But as a matter of fact, from him there were happened
without his intention many miracles and supernatural happening.
He used to think it is important to follow and go along with
the way of Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya. If any person in difficulty
will reach in his presence then he will give water upon recitation
of the name of his spiritual name of Hazrat Masih Al-Auliya. And
from it, there will be favour and benefit to every person always.
He was a well-known and famous poet of his time in the Hindi
language and his poetic name is Burhan. And it is known from his
following couplet which is mentioned in the book Rawah Alinfas
on page number 41. Hazrat Burhanuddin Raz Ilahi has written one
book Paum Khani and in it, there is mentioned the love of Allah’s
devotion and ecstasy in the style of Arifana (mystic way). This
magazine is mixed with the sweet language of Persian and Hindi.
And from this book, one couplet’s translation and interpretation
are as follows.
I say the love story so friends listen to it
I went to search for the friend but I was lost

His famous books are as follows: In his Malfuzat (discourses) and


books are written Samrat Hyatt, Rawa Anfas, Sharah Isman
Husni, and Sharah Amantu Billa are well known and famous.
His saying and points are mentioned as follows.
1.Hazrat said the thing which will reach you to Allah is religion
and the thing which keeps you away from Allah is the world.
2. He told in every work there is required to search for the help of
Allah.
3. Hazrat told that “Gathering of people on one eating carpet and
eating from one dish which is as per Sunnah (practice) of the
prophet and as well as it is a matter of blessing as per saying of
Hazrat Abu Saeed Abul Khair.
4.To sit in the first row in the prayer which will bring more reward
and which is as per religion of the Islamic law. And sitting in the
last row so that other Muslims can get more virtue and this
selflessness act is as per the method of the Fakir persons.
5. The rights and duties of the parents are to such extent important
is that if any of them will become infidel then and if he will give
the order to bring meat then bring it and if he will give order to
cook so he should cook it and present before him and if he will
give the order to eat it then he should not eat it as in this matter
this disobedience of the parents is the obedience of Allah in this
matter.
6.The right of loneliness is that there should be the body with the
people and but the heart should be with Allah. And If any person
comes there then be thankful to him in this matter and if there will
be ignored by any person then think leisure of the heart as think
as good for it.
Nawab Aqil Khan Razi was his disciple. Hazrat left this world
on 15h Shaban in the year 1083 Hegira at the age of 85 years.

In his funeral precession, many thousand persons have


participated, and as it was seen that as it was flying in the air.
Khan Khanan Abdul Raheem was constructed one grand tomb
over his grave and he was buried in his room in the shrine building
in Sindhi Pura locality and which is famous even today for the
fulfillment of desires and wishes of the special and general
persons who visit his tomb.
After 12 years Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir was visited his
grave and due to his old love of the shaikh he was constructed one
grand tomb over his grave and his final resting place in Sindhi
Pura locality and which is famous even today for the fulfillment
of desires and wishes of the special and general persons who visit
his tomb.

16.Hazrat Shaikh Shah Mohammed Ibn Fazl Allah Naib


Rasool

He was among the famous and well known holy person of


Burhanpur city. In the knowledge of manifest, he was a perfect
and exemplary learned person of the time. He belonged to
Sadat (Sayyid (UK: /ˈsaɪɪd, ˈseɪjɪd/, US: /ˈsɑːjɪd/; Arabic: ‫سيد‬
[ˈsæjjɪd], Persian: [sejˈjed]; meaning "Mister"; Arabic plural: ‫سادة‬
sādah; feminine: ‫ سيدة‬sayyidah) is an honorific title denoting
people accepted as descendants of the Islamic prophet
Muhammad and his cousin and son-in-law Ali (Ali ibn Abi Talib)
and through his daughter Hazrat Fatima) of Hussaini and Razvi
lineage. He was born in Ahmedabad approximately in the 943
Hegira year. He was a disciple among the disciples of hazrat Ali
Mutaqi Burhanpuri. He was obtained status in the Sufi higher
chains of Quaderia, Chistia, and Suherwardia and he has got the
saintly dress of the caliphate from Hazrat Ali Mutaqi and Hazrat

Shaikh Abu Mohammed Ibn Khizer Tamimi. And in the Sufi


chain of the Chisitia and Nizamia he was obtained permission and
caliphate from Hazrat Safi Gujrati. He was visited Madina and he
was lived there for a long period of time and was obtained
knowledge there.
His genealogical link is connected with Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi
Taleb R.A. And he has a passion for the love of the prophet with
him. And when there will be the urge of the passion of the love of
the prophet with him in his heart then he will be used to migrate
from Burhanpur and visit Madina. When he decided firmly to
settle down in his remaining part of the live-in the foot of the
prophet then upon the cover of some destinations of the journey
then the prophet came into his dream and he has given him the
order to go back to Burhanpur. And he was returned back again
to Burhapur as per the order of the prophet. Due to the strict
following of the Islamic Shariah law, he has become well known
and famous with the title naib (deputy ) of the Rasool.
Due to the blessing of his personality, many lakhs persons
came out of the darkness and have reached the destination. He
was well known for his miracles of the manifest as well as in the
signs of the light. He was confluent in the knowledge of manifest
and innermost. And in asceticism, piety, mystical exercise, and
worship were exemplary of his own.
Prince Jehangir who was his devotee and Shah Jehan during
his period as the prince was visited him. And Emperor Jehangir
was given in endowment of the village Hegna Pargana Malkapur
for him. And Prince Dar Shikwa was also his admirer and as well
as was his devotee.
Books: He has written books in large numbers. He was written on
the issue of Wahdat Al-Wujud, which means "oneness of being"
or "unity of existence in the Arabic language and given its title as

“Etajn Zaki Tuhfa Marasal Nabi.” And this book was most
popular in the Arab world. Once some Muslim persons came from
Jadra and were taken this book. And this book was taught in Egypt
to the Arab persons there. The well-known learned person of
Madina, Shaikh Ibrahim Kurdi who was written this book's
commentary in detail. And in the preface of the book, he was
praised very much the author of the book Hazrat Mohammed Ibn
Fazal Allah.
This book was translated by his disciple and caliph Mulla Abdul
Gafoor in the Persian language. And this book’s Urdu edition was
published by Munshi Mutih Allah Sahib Rashid in Karachi
Pakistan.
Shaikh Mohammed left this mortal world on the first of
Ramadan in the year 1029 Hegira corresponding to the year 1622.
In the book, Qazinatal Auliya's stanza of the date of his death is
mentioned and its is one couplet translated and interpreted as
follows.
Mohammed Ibn Fazal grace of the two worlds
Left from the world on a date known to the people

His tomb is there in Hisar in Burhanpur and situated in the


locality of the Shaikhpura. And this locality was established by
him in Burhapur where there used to live 700 Quran-conners in
the past time. This locality was the center of the persons of the
learned and excellence. This locality is deserted and available
now in the shape of the jungle. And telling the story of the golden
past to the visitors of the place. There are a leftover tomb and
mosque in that area now. Near his tomb there is situated the tomb
of his grandson Hazrat Shah Mohammed Waris and who died in
the year 1182.

He has two sons one is Khaja Fazal Allah and the other is
Khaja Fazeel.On the first of Ramadan his and his grand son’s Urs
(annual death anniversary) which is celebrated and in which
people from various walks of life irrespective of caste and creed
assemble to celebrate the Urs (annual death anniversary) which
take place on the first of Ramadan at the famous shrine of Hazrat
in Burhanpur every year and several hundred thousand devotees
from near and far irrespective religion and beliefs gather there to
seek blessings.
The family members of the shaikh still live in the places of
Bayadal Malkapur, Burhabpur and in the other places of the
Khandesh.

17.Hazrat Khaja Mohammed Hashim Kashmi

The revolution of the skies could give birth to them


As they were great persons who buried in the graves

He was born in the city Kashmi from Badakshan in the year


989 Hegira year. He was disciple and special caliph of Hazrat Alif
Thani Sarhindi.
His father Khaja Mohammed Qasim well known as Khaja
Kazim who was a great person of his time and his genealogical
link connected with rightly Sadat connection. And he was a well
known learned person, worshipper and darwesh person of a pure
heart.
He belonged to the royal family of King Mirza Shah Rukh of
Badakhshan. He used to say that his ancestors belonged to the
Sufi chain of Suherwardia and Kubera. And he used to say that

since his childhood he used to go in the service of the caliphates


of the above Sufi chains and but this natural habit which was
created in his youth period.

But there was the effect on the signs of heart and glad tidings
from the chain of the holy persons of the Naqshabandia chain
started since his youth period. But I do not know the holy
personality from this way will guide me in this matter. And from
this great chain who benefactor will bless me in this way. Due to
this endeavor there will be a difficulty for me. Due to the
condition of overpowering, there will be said by my tongue to the
fixed saddle on the horse and to go India. At last, I have visited
India suddenly.
One time there was discussion in the assembly about the holy
personalities of the previous time and their strange and wonderful
conditions as well as their usages. So then there was thinking in
my heart that there was such person in the past time but now such
persons are not available there. And if there are available but we
could not able to see by our eyes.
On that night I have seen one holy person who came into my
dream and he is saying stood at such place such holy person is
available in the meeting of the persons and he is asking you there.
I have reached such address and was seen one holy person in the
meeting of the pure persons there. And who was sitting there on
the platform in the condition of the meditation. And I have taken
near that holy person. And holy person after his meditation
extended his hand and who caught my hand. And he told me to
read Ezaja Nasrul Laha as this verse is the door of repentance. I
began the recitation of this verse so there will be flowing of tears
from my eyes. I was able to see a sign of my aim from the

circumstance of the revelation of this Quran verse. And I have


consoled my heart. And have adopted the road of repentance.
After some days I went into the presence of the spiritual master
of time Hazrat Mir Noman Naqshbandi and who was the caliph
of higher chain and who was sitting on the throne of teaching.
And who was making the hearts of the student of Allah
unconscious with the cups of the passion. And from him, I have
learned invocation of mediation of the chain. And for a long
period of time, I was in his service till such that in the year 1031
Hegira Hazrat Mujadid Alif Thani has called me in Sirhind. So
from the permission of Mir Noman Thani, I went into service of
Hazrat Mjudad Alif Thani and approximately for a period of two
years I have obtained favours and from the blessing of his
personality and who was such sun of lights and its lights were
entered into the inlet of my broken heart and its exegesis I could
not explain as well as I could not bring such benefits upon my
tongue in this matter. From such great personality by learning
method of education and upon getting the caliphate from him as
per his order was returned back to Burhanpur and was settled
there.
Khaja Mohammed Hashim, who has perfection and excellence
in the benefits of extrinsic, in the formal knowledge, had a good
style of conversation, the sweetness of talking style, good
manners, and he was modest. He used to describe interesting
stories in a heart-touching style of conversation. There was
affliction in his speech and in his writings. In his historical
writing as well as prose writing he has great skill. His poetry was
very interesting as well as affecting the heart. And his Mathnavi
writing (verse comprising couplets) was very interesting. And his
written magazine was very famous and well known. His
interesting hobby was writing and compilation of Islamic books.

He was written one book by title Zabda Al-Maqamat in the


year 1037 Hegira in the Persian language in which he was written
condition and events of his spiritual master Hazrat Mujadid Alif
Thani and grand spiritual master Hazrat Khaja Baqi Billah. This
book is very important and it can be good for the reading.
His second book Maktubat Rabbani volume III is in the Persian
language. And which he was compiled in the year 1031 Hegira.
This book is a collection of those letters written by his spiritual
master Hazrat Mujadid Alif Thani who has written from time to
time to his friends, disciples, devotees, and learned person of his
time.
His collection of a Persian poetry book in which he was written
his poetry on all genres and which is exemplary of its own. Its one
handwritten copy is preserved in the library of Mulla Faroz Parsi
in Bombay.
One time Hazrat Syed Khaja Hashim went along with his
friends in the resort of Mahal Gul for picnic and hunting. Upon
seeing the waterfall there was the effect of separation of the
spiritual master upon his heart. And by suddenly he was said one
stanza by his tongue and which is preserved in the book of the
libraries.
Hazrat Khaja Syed Hashim was the leader (Imam) in the royal
Jama mosque in Burhanpur for a period of 15 years. One Diwan
of his poetry collection in the Persian language is preserved in
India office library London in which there are different kinds of
genres are available. And there are recorded historic events about
contemporary persons.
Hazrat Khaja Syed Hashim was left this mortal world upon the
illness of three days. And till his last sigh, he was engaged in the
work of the guidance of mankind. And in this way, he was met
his Lord in the month of Rajab in the year 1045 Hegira. And his

tomb is situated near Eid Gah and Subhash school at the bank of
river Panadrol and which is famous even today for the fulfillment
of desires and wishes of the special and general persons who visit
his tomb.
His son Khaja Syed Mohammed Qasim and Moulana Shah
Abdul Latif Hisari were among his caliphs.
After the death of Hashim Kashimi, the work of the teaching
and preaching of the Sufi chain of Kashimi has become very
weak. So one holy person of this chain is Hazrat Sufi Abdul Rauf
Sahib Manathbhajan (1947-1948) who came into Burhanpur and
spent much time in Burhanpur, but in spite of his continuous
edeavours of 8-10 years, he could not contact the people in
Burhanpur. But in the land of Burhanpur, there was flown the flag
of the Sufi chain of Mujadida by the efforts of the hands of his
caliphate Hazrat Sufi Noor Huda from Malegoin again. And till
today a large number of the disciples are found in the place of
Burhanpur and who are following the way of the mysticism. The
Burhapur city’s famous and well-known personality Doctor
Shaikh Mahboob who is caliph and who has the permission of the
Hazrat Sufi Noor Huda. And he is engaged by his heart and life
for the teaching of the preaching of this Sufi chain. And there is
the comfort of the thirstiness of the people of spiritualness due to
his personality and they will get comfort and peace of the heart to
them in this matter.
His miracles and supernatural habits: There are many of his
miracles and some of the written below for the sake of facility.
1.In the year 1272 Hegira there came a flood in Burhanpur so
there was danger of damage to his tomb. So Khaja Sahib was
given instruction in the dream to the holy person of Burahanpur
Khaja Mohammed Taher to shift his dead body to another place.
And as per his instruction, his dead body was shifted to another

place. When the grave opened then his dead body was in good
condition and there was the available fragrance. Even though
there was a period of 227 years over after his death. This is not an
event of the scientific period but it is a manifest of the wonderful
thing of Allah. As well as this is a great honour and status given
by Allah to Hazrat Syed Hashim Kashmi.
2. If there will be any boy un-clever and unintelligent and given
to him some soil of the tomb then he will become smart and sharp.
3. If there will be bitten snake to any person and if he will be
visiting his tomb and requested there then by the grace of Allah
he will get recovery of his health in this matter.
4.One of his disciple who said that he has a vow with him that if
his horse will be sold for such an amount then he will give such
and such amount as present into his tomb and horse was sold and
three days time was passed away. One day I went to the shrine
building and there was an amount with me. Hazrat told him that “
There is a share of us in your money bag and why you are not
paying.?” Upon hearing the conversation of the Hazrat my
condition was become very bad and immediately I have paid an
amount of the present at the same time. (From Jawahar

18.Hazrat Pak Lateef Shah

He was among the famous and well-known caliph of Hazrat


Burhanuddin Raz Illahi. He was always find engrossed in the
worship of Allah, mystical exercises, and endeavors. He used to
spend his all-time for the guidance and favour of mankind.

He was well known for the miracles and in the signs of lights
and innermost knowledge as well as knowledge of manifest’s
confluence.
His tomb is situated in the locality of Rastipur. And in its
compound, there are find nine graves of the martyrs.
He has left the world on 28th Jamadil Awwal and the year of the
death was not known and it may be probable at the beginning of
the 11th or 12 century.

19.Hazrat Mir Mohammed Noman Naqshbandi

He was the caliph of Hazrat Mujadid Alif Thani Sarhindi. And his
father’s name was Shaikh Shamsuddin. He was born in the year
997 Hegira in Samarqand. His date of birth is found from the word
“Shaikh Junaid” and there is no doubt that he was Junaid and
Shibly of his time. He has obtained the blessing of both worlds
from Hazrat Khaja Mohammed Baqi Billah. And he was able to
know the method of Naqshibandia command, invocation, and
meditation.
Mir Mohammed Noman in his last age as per instruction of his
spiritual master went into service of Hazrat Mujaddid Alif Thani
and benefitted by his favour and was given him with a great
treasure of perfection and jewels of innermost and was sent to
Burhanpur for the guidance of students of the reality. This is the
event of the year 1918.
Khaja Mohammed Hashim Khutmi has written in Zuba Al-
Maqamat that Mir Noman has come to Burhanpur two times. And
at that time Hazrat Shaikh Fazallah Naib Rasul and Shaikh Eisa
Jindalla were great persons of time living in Burhanpur so for this
reason he was returned back from there.

Upon the death of the above two holy persons, he came a third
time to Burhanpur then at that time Burhapur’s general and
special person become his disciples and devotees and servants.
He has seen the prophet in his dream and along with him, his
caliphs were there with him. And then the prophet told Hazrat
Abu Baker that “One who is accepting of the Shaikh Ahmed then
he is accepting of me.”
In the book Zab Al-Maqamat, Hazrat Khaja Mohammed
Hashim Kasham has written details of him.
Miracles: One day a group of darwesh and rank people came into
his presence of one person who was invited by one sincere person
and Hazrat was also present there at that time. And he was called
the person who was invited and instructed him very much to keep
away from large numbers of the persons and to take away from
suspicion of the food. He has taken much care but there was a
large number of the persons so for this reason he was slaughtered
many goats. But due to nature of the Allah, there were found
insects in the meat of one goat. And in some time insects were
reached to the bones from meat. When it was brought to Hazrat
then there was a loud and cry for this reason there. He told me
that for this I have asked you to take care of this matter. The goat
was not halal (legal) and for this Allah has shown as the signs of
the insects to us. You persons search in this matter. When it was
searched then it was known that the host person’s friend who was
the ruler of the place and who was obtained this goat by atrocity
and was given to the host as a gift. And the host did not know in
this matter.
He used to say that one night he was in the Jama mosque in
Burhanpur and he was fallen from the platform which was in
height of one foot and there was a severe injury caused to my
hand. But after fall there was available a position of mysticism to

me and for which there was the desire for me. So I was happy
very much for this injury and for the thanks of this grace I was
cooked sweet and given to all persons and it was my belief that
one who will eat this sweet then he will enter into the paradise.
Abdul Raheem Khane Khanan who was lived in Burhanpur for
a period of 30 years and he was his great devotee. But he never
accepted his presents sent by him. At last, he was asked with him
that he want to spend some money for good deeds so give me
advice on this matter. He told him that due to the end of the Faruqi
kingdom there is an incomplete front side of the Burhanpur
mosque so you complete it. Khan Khanan under his supervision
and as per his advice he has constructed the eastern side and
southern gate and at the three sides made wide permanent rooms
and two wides water reservoirs of the marbles in the Jama mosque
of Burhanpur and all these are still found are in use.
While praise of Hazrat Mujadid Alif Thani he said that he
knows many persons who in the company of the Hazrat were
obtained the status of the Qutub persons.
He told that when he was in service of Hazrat Baqi Billah and
who has instructed all his disciples that to go in the presence of
Hazrat Mujadid Alif Thani and follow the invocation method
instructed by him. And did not give me respect in his presence.
Even did not pay attention to me in his presence. He was advised
for the company Hazrat Mujadid Alif Thani and when he was
known my refuse then he told me that “ Miya Shaikh Ahmed is
like a sun and many thousand stars like myself who are lost in his
light. And among great holy persons as well as in the ancient
persons also there are few personalities like him.”

When Akbar was conquered Burhanpur then he was given the


order of the imprisonment of almost all shaikhs and Sufi persons

for a charge of supporting the Faruqi kingdom rulers. Almost all


Shaikhs and Sufi persons were sent to Agra for imprisonment
there.
Mir Noman Naqshabandi died in Agra on 18th Safar in the
year 1061 Hegira. And his tomb in Agra which is famous even
today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the special and
general persons who visit his tomb.

20. Hazrat Shah Noor Ramoz Ilahi

He was among the caliphs of Hazrat Burhan Uddin Raz Illahi. He


has followed the Sufi chain of the Shuttaria. He has requested his
spiritual master for the status of Mansour Hallaj.
It was said that when he said Azan prayer call then he said
“Burhan Allah Akbar” but Burhan Allah Akbar’s meaning and its
reason is that Allah is logic as it is mentioned in the 21 part of the
holy Quran that invocation of Allah is excellent and his
personality is most supreme and great of all.
The learned persons of the time have believed Burahn as the
name of his spiritual master. And they have passed penal
ordinances of the Islamic Shariah Law. And he was given the
order to cut his head. And fixed that date of the sentence. This
event happened probably in the year 1075 Hegira.
His tomb is situated in the locality of Atawara near villa of
Abul Khair well known as Khair Khani on the roadside.
The Urs ceremony (death anniversary) is celebrated every
year. And people from various walks of life, irrespective of caste
and creed, assemble to celebrate the Urs (death anniversary)
which takes place on the 27th Rajab at the famous shrine in
Burhanpur every year. Several hundred thousand devotees from

near and far, irrespective of religion and beliefs, gather there to


seek blessings.

21. Hazrat Malik Hussain Banani

Name and genealogy: His name is Mailk Hussain and he belongs


to the Banbani area in Sindh. So he was well known and famous
as Hazrat Malik Hussain Banani.
Pledge and caliphate: After completion of the education he has
a pledge on the hands of Hazrat Shah Eisa Jundallah. And he was
lived a long time in his service and was obtained knowledge of
the innermost. And he was also got caliphate. And he belonged to
the Shuttari chain of Sufism. The place where he was born is not
yet known.
His favours : He was well known for Touhid (unity of God) and
solitude. There will be the rush of the students of the reality day
and night always in his school. The persons who like knowledge
of God and a large number of the students who used to come in
his presence and used to get his favour in this matter. Due to his
favour many thousand students got the position of the status.
Miracles and revelation: He was a person of miracles and
revelations. And many of the supernatural habits have been done
by him. And Hazrat Shah Burhanuddin Raz who was among his
holy disciples.
Habits and manner: He was a person of abstinence and
worshipper and as well as a mystic person of Allah. He was a
person of knowledge and excellence. He was always engaged to
give lessons to the students.
His sayings: He used to say to show miracle is not legal. But it is
allowed to such extent as that the student should use such extent

of the antimony on his eyes so that so his eye of sight can kindle
with the light of reality.
Death: He died on the 2nd of the Rajab month and probability in
the between of the 11th century.
And his tomb is situated near the Mandi crossroads in
Burhanpur on the southern side. On the opposite road of the tomb
and in another direction there is situated mosque of Abdul
Raheem Khan Khanan. The tomb on the grave which was fallen
down 40 years ago. And now the repair of this tomb which was
completed recently.
Note: the above details are taken from the book Auliya Burhanpur

published so far.

22.Syed Hasan Ata Al-Kursi

Name and genealogy: His name is Syed Hasan and his title is Al-
Kursi. But he was well known with the name of Ata Al-Kursi.
And the general person by mistake calls him Ayat Al-Kursi. And
his name from Ata Al-Kurse it was changed to Ayat Al-Kursi.
He is Sadat Al-Hussni and in the genealogical link of the
(Sayyid (UK: /ˈsaɪɪd, ˈseɪjɪd/, US: /ˈsɑːjɪd/; Arabic: ‫ˈ[ سيد‬sæjjɪd],
Persian: [sejˈjed]; meaning "Mister"; Arabic plural: ‫ سادة‬sādah;
feminine: ‫ سيدة‬sayyid) is an honorific title denoting people
accepted as descendants of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and
his cousin and son-in-law Ali (Ali ibn Abi Talib) through his
grandsons, Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali, sons of
Muhammad's daughter Fatimah and Ali)
Arrival and settlement in Burhanpur: There is an oral tradition
that he came to Burhanpur along with Peer Banna and he was

settled down in Burhanpur. And from whom he has a pledge and


this is not yet known. But he belonged to the Chistia Sufi chain.
Habits and manners: He was a mystic person of Allah and a
person of miracles and revelations. He was the most abstinence
personality. And worshipper. Many thousand people who were
benefitted from his personality.
Death: It was known that he died in the last period of the tenth
century. The Urs (death anniversary) will be held on 19th Rabil
Thani every year. His tomb is situated at the outside of the north
side wall of the Tahsil office on the road side. In the near area,
there is situated tomb of his brother Hazrat Nizamuddin and he
was a person of miracles and revelations and he belonged to the
Sufi chain of Chistia.
23. Hazrat Shah Chaman
He is well known generally with the name of Shah Chaman. But
Moulana Noor Eldin Bihari upon the revelation of his grave then
able to know his name Abdul Rahman and God knows better in
this matter. He has followed the Chistia Sufi system. But he was
blessed with the grace of the Shuttaria Sufi chain. He was a mystic
person of Allah and he was a person of miracles and revelations.
Arrival and permanent settlement in Burhanpur. It is said that
he was arrived in Burhanpur by a caravan of travelers. And there
was his brother along with him. During the journey period, there
was a battle with the infidels and so for this reason there were
found several injuries on his body. And upon reaching Burhanpur
he was settled down permanently in the Burhanpur.
Death: He has died in Burhanpur.His tomb is situated adjacent to
the crossroads on the Sanwara road and which is near some
distance from Istambajh. And here there was one tamarind tree
before and which was famous with the name of Shah Chaman
tree.

His Urs (death anniversary) will be held every year on the 19th of
the Zeqad month.

24. Hazrat Fana Shah and Hazrat Piphiya Shah

These two holy persons were disciples of Hazrat Chaman Shah.


They were persons of miracles and revelations. It is said that to
both of them there was available Dast Gaib (supernatural
financial help to saints). And there was available to him daily one
Rupee behind his bedding. And which was enough for his daily
expenses.
Tomb: The tomb of these two holy persons is on the Khanqa road
on the side of the Sanwara road in the southern direction. In his
hermitage area, there was constructed one building in which there
is find now there boy’s Islamic school.

25. Hazrat Syed Bade Sahib was known as Pather Peer

Name and genealogy: His name is Syed Bade Sahib and he was
the son of Bhika Ibn Mir Jalauddin Hussain and there are kept
near his tomb round stones, so for this reason he was become well
known as Pather Peer.
He belongs to the right genealogical link of Sadat. And he was
Quran-conner. And visited Makkah for the Hajj pilgrimage. He
was a contemporary person of Hazrat Shaikh Mohammed Ibn
Fazal Allah Naib Rasool. He was a person of miracles and
revelation. And upon him, there was prevailed almost all-time
condition of engrossment. It seems that he was left this world in
the last period of the 11th century.
His tomb is situated in the graveyard of Dai Anga at the corner
side in the southern direction.

Miracles: On his grave, there is kept one round stone. The visitor
who put their hand on the stone with the truth of the heart and
with the perfection of belief and express their desire and if there
is the fulfillment of the desire then the stone will move round and
if there will be no such thing then the stone will not move in this
matter. And in this matter, God knows better.
On his grave, this is one tablet fixed and on it, there is an
inscription is there which is not clearly available in the Urdu book
but however, translation is done in the English edition of the book
as follows.
“In the rule of the Shah Alamgir the chief justice was issued
order signed by Abid Khan in the year 1072 Hegira and as per
order 100 Bighas ( one Bigah= land-measure equivalent of 120
square feet) land in village Devri Mamula Pargani Zainpur in the
neighbor Province Khandesh in the status of livelihood granted to
Banu Burhan Baig Kuch relative of the Hazrat late Mir Jalaluddin
Hussaini on the 2nd Zeqada of the year.”

26.Hazrat Moulana Syed Shah Ali Akbar Saheb

He was the caliph of Hazrat Syed Ali Sahib. When he has become
an adult then he was obtained perfection of the knowledge and
did endeavors, and was found inherent and acquirement of skill.
He was a pledge on the hands of Hazrat Dost Mohammed caliph
of Haji Yar Mohammed Sahib Paini in the Sufi method of
Naqshabandia.
He used to go to Makkah for Hajj pilgrimage from Peshawar
every year by the land route. Afterward, he came to India and was
settled down in Burhanpur. He was married one woman of the
businessman and she had one son with her previous marriage.

And his name was Shah Enayat Allah Tatposh. And afterward,
Hazrat has appointed him as his special caliph.
Then as per his practice, he went to Peshawar and as per his
practice went to Makkah for the Hajj pilgrimage. And when he
has returned back to Burhanpur then there was the rule of Nawab
Nasir Jung and who has welcomed him warmly. And he has
requested him kindly for his pledge. But Hazrat has clearly
refused him in this matter. But when there was very much
pressure upon him then he could not refuse his request in this
matter. And in this way, Nawab Sahib pledges on the hands of the
Hazrat. And on the occasion of happiness Nawab Sahib was given
the order to distribute sweets in the Burhanpur city. And he was
requested Hazrat to stay in Burhanpur on a permanent basis.
So he went to Peshawar to bring his family members and
brother Shah Ghulam Mohammed and Imam Shah Sahib and by
taking all of them he has proceeded toward Burhanpur and he was
reached Rotagarh and he has died there on 17th Rabbil Awwal.
There were a large number of his disciples and devotees and for
this reason, in his every journey there will be 200-300 disciples
with him. And there was happened this event during the journey
period so all person has decided to put his corpse in the box and
to send Madina for his burial there. When this caravan was
reached Burhanpur then Nawab Saheb was allotted houses to
family members of the Hazrat. And Nawab Saheb was insisted
that Hazrat should be buried in Burhanpur. So his corpse was
taken to the mosque in the shrine building where there was one
banyan tree, and a platform, and a dry water reservoir. But now
there is not available that banyan tree and platform.
There were tried many endeavours to bring water in the water
reservoir but all endeavours were not successful in this matter to
bring water from the canal. But after the burial of Hazrat there

came water automatically in the tap and water reservoir which


was full of water.
Nawab Sahib was given property to the members of Hazrat as
follows.1.Syed Anwar Allah 2.Syed Abdallah etc., sons and
relatives, and also given property to Hazrat Shah Ghulam
Mohammed Sahib in Shahpur and Peperpur, etc., as present to
him for the income of the value of one lakh Rupees annually.
Upon martyrdom of Nawab Sahib when Marahata rule was
started then who were taken away the property due to
discrimination.

27.Hazrat Enayat Allah Tatposh

He was an adopted son and special caliph of the Hazrat Shah


Akbar. He was a generous and big-hearted person. He used to take
many thousand Rupees from the people and used to distribute
among poor and needy persons.

Once Naruji Maratha governor of Gwalior who came to


Burhanpur and began the collection of money from the people by
force and atrocities and the people have requested him to free
force and atrocities of him in this matter. And Hazrat went into
his office and made the slogan of Allah Akbar in loud voice and
so, for this reason, there was created the condition of the
earthquake there in the building. And due to that earthquake he
began shivering due to fear. And due to terror of the situation of
unconsciousness and there was the discharge of his urine began
there by the governor. Hazrat told him that “ If there will be

atrocities by him on the poor persons then there will be the


punishment to him before Allah. That person regretted this matter
and with much respect, he was paid many thousand Rupees in his
service. And Hazrat has distributed such a huge amount to the
poor and needy persons. There was such fear upon him from his
side that he immediately left from Burhanpur.
There was a battle of Nawab Mir Nizam Ali Khan Bhadur of
Hyderabad with Raja of Puna. Then Nawab has submitted his
petition in his presence that if he will be a present in the army of
Islam then there will be success to the forces of the Nizam Ali
Khan. So Hazrat has sent Hazrat Mir Enayat Allah Sahib. Hazrat
went into the army of Raja and who has presented many thousand
Rupees in his service and was requested his prayer for the victory
but he did not accept his offer. And he said told him that the
intention of the battle is not good and there is a loss to him in this
matter. So he should return back from there. But Raja did not
agree upon the advice of the Shah Sahib. And after that Shah
Sahib came into the army camp of the Nizam of Hyderabad
kingdom and he was consoled to the king that at last that there
will be the success to him only. At last, due to the prayer of Shah
Sahib, the Raja was run away within two hours from the battle
field. And there was getting the victory to the forces of Islam. And
in this way, there was increased the faith of Nawab Saheb with
Shah Sahib very much in this matter.
He has left this mortal world on 12th Shawwal in the year
1218 Hegira in Burhanpur. And his tomb is there in the courtyard
of the shrine building in Burhanpur beside the tomb of Hazrat
Syed Akbar Ali Shah.
He used to wear always rag dress so for this reason he has
become famous and well known with the name of Hazrat Enayat
Allah Tat Posh.

28.Hazrat Moulana Mavlavi Syed Jalaluddin well known as


Allah Wale

He was a big caliph of Hazrat Taqi Sahib. He was born in


Burhanpur. And Hazrat Shah Ali Akber who was his grandfather.
And his sister who well known learned and a woman of
excellence. And she used to give sermons in the assemblies. In
the beginning, he has obtained knowledge from his father and his
sister. And afterward, he went to Makkah and he has obtained
knowledge of Hadith (sayings of the prophet) and was received
certificates there. In the higher Sufi chain of Quaderia he has
obtained caliphate from his father. And from his personality of
blessing, there were spiritual benefits to many thousand persons
as he was a learned person and who acted upon his knowledge.
His conversation was such sweet and effective that people will
love him for this reason by their heart and life. In his assemblies
of sermons many thousand-person who used to attend and get
affected as such that they will keep away from the bad and sinful
acts.
He was lived in Hyderabad city for some period of time and was
advised to the general and special persons. In the sermons and
advices, he did not apply any concession to anybody. Nasir
Doulah the fourth Nizam of Hyderabad kingdom who used to
meet with him with much respect and honour and pleased with
his meetinsg because in the world of the dream he has received
the order from the prophet of Allah that he should meet with the
Hazrat.
In the city Tonk Amir Khan and in city Javara Nawab Ghouse
Mohammed Khan and noble and rich persons of his place and

elder persons have become his disciples and devotees. When he


went to Ahmedabad to meet Hazrat Rahmatullah Naib Rasool and
Khaja Sahib was fulfilled his duties as the host with him with
much respect and honour there. And from there he went to Ajmer
to visit the tomb of Hazrat Khaja Moinuddin Chisti. Upon
reaching there he was made sermons about command and
prohibition as well as probation of the visit of the graves. Due to
his sermons, the custodians were angry with him in this matter.
And for this reason, they have the intention to kill him there. He
was seen in his dream the prophet and who told him one sign
about one verse and upon the recitation of that verse he was safe
and secure from the harms of the people from there.
Once his disciple Sardar Mohammed Khan was arrested on
the charge of killing one English man. And there was given order
for him to hang. Hazrat was advised in the dream one prayer and
due to its blessing Sardar Mohammed freed from jail. And not
only this but the ruler of the place was sanctioned to him a salary
of Rupees of 700 hundred monthly and he was given him one
sword and as well as he was given him the title of Khan Bhadur.
There are many miracles of the Hazrat are there but due to
reason of the lengthy details, it was avoided in this book due to
less space in this book.
Books: He was written many books like Risala Mubi Zaroiat,
Bayant Afrad, Mazra Al-Ebad, Risala Sunan Ibrahim Alaisalam,
Risala Zeyarat Quboor, Ensaf Nama, Mazahab Shia Main, Munfa
Muslimin, Risala Fiqa, Haruf Arabi, and Risal Huraf Farsi, etc.,
and there are many in a large number of the books written by him
which is not countable in this matter.
His son Obeid Allah Sahib was also a great learned person.
And his book of exegesis of the Quran “Altasir Fi Mahmat Al-
Tufsir” and which is declared the best exegesis book of the holy

Quran in India in the Arabic language. By its reading, it can know


the author’s width of the dimension of the knowledge. This great
and famous achievement of the knowledge of the author is well
known.
In his library, there were available rare books and as well as a
treasure of books of Islamic religion and its cost and value is not
possible and not imaginable in this matter. Handwritten books
which were written in good handwriting were found in his library
books collection. And in his books, there was a collection of
books from Makkah and other faraway countries. This is his great
achievement.
His age was over 90 years. He has left this mortal world on
5th Shawwal in the year 1273 Hegira due to illness of the brain
and he was buried in the courtyard of the shrine building mosque
in Burhanpur beside the tomb of Hazrat Shah Ali Akbar. Mavlavi
Mir Shamsuddin who has said one stanza of the date as follows.

On Friday on the 5th Shawwal he left from this world


To the heaven and Jalaluddin who was a pious person
So with much sadness date of the death was recorded
Surely he was among a special person of the Islamic

29.Hazrat Kalu Shah Known As Kale Shah Peer

His grave is situated four miles away from Burhanpur on the


higher-level place. There is the river Mohna and there is the resort
of Raj Mali. And he used to reside in Raj Mali. Raj Mali and its
surrounding area were given to him by the ruler of his time as
property to him.

He was very much punctual to the prayers and fasting. He was


a person of miracles and revelation. He has died in the rule of the
Maratha dynasty. His Urs (death anniversary ceremony) is
celebrated every year in the month of Shaban. And in which many
thousand people who used to participate in it. Near his tomb, there
is the grave of his disciple Banke Shah Sahib.

30.Hazrat Shah Hussain Khuda Numa

Name genealogy: His name is Syed Hussain and his title is


Khuda Numa. And his father’s name was not known. And his
genealogical links are connected with Sadat persons.
Pledge and caliphate: He was caliphate and disciple of Hazrat
Aman Allah Burhanpuri and who was the caliph of Hazrat Syed
Ibrahim Bhakari Burhanpuri.In this way, he belongs to the Sufi
chain of Quaderia and on such and such day and on the same date
when he will leave this world and which was informed by him
before to all persons.
He died on the 27th of Ramadan month in the year 992 hegira.
And his tomb is near the southern side of the tomb of Hazrat Shah
Baba’s mosque and which is famous even today for the
fulfillment of desires and wishes of the special and general
persons who visit his tomb. 120-125
Rectitude and advice: He used to be in the work of showing
guidance to mankind as well as he will engage in the endeavors
for the favour of the persons. His conversation will be very
interesting and effective and whoever will sit in his company then
his heart will become cold from the world and his heart will
become hot for the demand of Allah. And for this reason, he was
become famous and well known as Khuda Numa. And many

thousand people who were benefitted from his innermost


favours.
Habits and manners: He was among the great Sufi personality
as well as well known shaikh person of his time. He was
comprehensive of the knowledge of manifest and as well as in the
knowledge of innermost. And he was a person of miracles and
revelation. He was a pious person and a worshipper. He has
followed the method of perpetual with ablution and establish the
prayers.
Death: He has left this mortal world on 16th Ramadan in the year
915 Hegira in Burhanpur and he was buried there. His tomb is
situated in the locality of Chanbali Kuwan in Burhapur in the
hermitage of the Hussain Shah which gave in his name.

31. Hazrat Shaikh Shaikh Ahmed Chisti

He was a pledge on the hands of his father Shaikh Haji Ibn


Shamsuddin. And from him, he was obtained saintly dress of the
caliphate. At the time of his pledge, there were present many
thousand persons there, and in which many nobles and Fakir
persons who were participated in the ceremony. His pious caliph
was Shah Jalal Ibn Hazrat Shah Nizamuddin Ibn Hazrat Shah
Noman Asseri. By 10th generations his genealogical link are
connected with Hazrat Shaikh Fariduddin Ganj Shaker. He was
the perfect darwesh as well as a spiritual master of excellence. He
was always engaged in invocation, endavours, worship, and
mystical exercise. He was migrated from Mandu to Burhanpur
during the rule of Meeran Mubarak Khan and he was given light
to this city. The ruler of time was granted a pension for him but

he was not accepted for it. He has accepted the job of the soldier
and he was found always in the military uniform.
One day there was the ceremony of Urs (death anniversary) of
some holy person in Mandu. And there were a group of Sufi
persons on that occasion. In the sama meeting, there was
prevailed ecstasy upon him. One person upon seeing his condition
makes mocking for him. In the condition of engrossment, he has
slapped that person with his hand and so for this reason there were
started flames of the fire from his finger and so there was began
burning off the beard of that person. Upon seeing this scene there
was created horror on the persons in the meeting. Then he was
stood from that meeting place and he went to the tomb of his
father and put down there lamps and from there he was going to
Burhanpur. And it's meaning is that now there is an end of the
guidance in this city. At that time of Meeran Shah Faruqui was
the ruler of Buhanpur from 943-974 Hegira year.
Till his life, he wears the uniform of the soldier but he was
engaged in the work of the guidance to the darwesh persons.
He died on Wednesday on the 18th of Ramadan in the year 965
Hegira. There was a large number of his disciples and caliphates
but he was given a dress of saintliness of the caliphate to Shah
Jalal Ibn Shah Nizamuddin. And his tomb is situated in
Burhanpur and is famous even today for the fulfillment of the
desires and wishes of the special and general persons who visit
his tomb.

32.Shaikh Jalaluddin

He was the son of Shah Nizamuddin Chisti Ibn Shah Noman


Asseri. And he was obtained saintly dress of caliphate and
permission of discourses from his father.

He has the status of the excellence of the knowledge and


religion and reality as well as in Sufism.
One time one traveler came from Makkah and he has seen him
in healthy condition and he has with his discussion of the mocking
with him. And in his reply, he has recited one couplet in the
Persian language. And that person told him there is no blood in
the dead person. Then Shaikh Jalaluddin took one knife from the
case and struck on its straps and hand so for this reason the knife
entered and went outside but there was not find no drop of blood.
Upon seeing this the traveler has regretted the mistake and he has
become his disciple.
When Meeran Mohammed Khan Younger brother of Mubarak
Khan Farooqui has become ruler of Burhanpur. And Mubarak
Khan who was in the prison of the Beyal village and he was taken
out from there and was shifted into Asirgarh fort prison.
Afterward, there was a plan to make him a blind person. Then
there was given the order to the Abdullah Qudsi group to bring
Mubarak Khan to Burhanpur. When this group came down from
Assirgarh then there was started at night time so for this reason,
they have taken a rest in the shrine building of the Shaikh
Jalaluddin. Mubarak Khan went into the presence of Shaikh Jalal
and told him his sad story and he requested him his help in this
matter. He was prayed in the court of Allah and he was told him
Mubarak Khan do not worry and you are going to become the
king and nobody did not kill you.”
In the early morning, Abdulla Qudsi was taken Mubarak to
Burhanpur. And he was imprisoned in the fort and police guards
kept there to watch him in the prison. In the last part of the night,
the police guard told Mubarak Khan that three times one holy
person came into his dream and by sign asked to cut his chain. By
swearing, he was cut the chain of the Mubarak Khan. And

Mohammed Khan upon freeing from the prison he came to the


palace and he was arrested Asgar who son of the Mohammed
Khan. And he was sat on the throne of the kingdom. And in this
way, he was ruled for a period of 32 years from 943 to 974 Hegira.
There are many of his miracles but due to the length of the book
which is not possible in this matter.
One day he was called all his caliphs after the Fajr prayer. And
he has given them his special benediction. And he was given his
sermon in which he was given his advice and instructions. And
then he sent them back from his place and upon leaving of the
persons he was slept thereby covering coverlet on his body and in
this way he has left this mortal world. He died in the month of
Rabbil Thani in the year 951 Hegira. All his caliphs are well
known and famous in the knowledge of reality as well as in
mysticism. Shaikh Abu Japu Fakhar, Shaikh Jamal Mohammed
who was become his caliphs and successors. Miya Shaikh
Mohammed, Mulla Ashiqi, Shaikh Moazam, Shaikh Khadbardi,
Syed Alauddin are his good caliphs.
His tomb is situated in the eastern direction of the tomb of
Hazrat Shah Noman Chisti.
33.Hazrat Shaikh Abdul Hakeem
He was the son of Shah Bajan Chisti. He has obtained the saintly
dress of caliphate and permission of the discourses from his
father. Upon becoming custodian of the shrine he was engaged in
much mystical exercise and endeavours and in this matter, he
went ahead of all holy persons. And due to this reason in his body
there came weakness. But in the assembly of sama when there
will break up flames of love in the heart then there will such great
passion that so for this reason people will be surprised in this
matter.

He was a person of Islamic law of the Sherait and as well as he


was a person of the mystical way. When he was asked how there
come to him such power in spite of weak condition? and then he
told that “When he was seven years old then there was the effect
of smallpox and for this reason, he has become weak and due to
seriousness of the disease there was no hope for my life in this
matter. My condition has become like a dead person for this
reason. My father prayed in the court of Allah for the recovery of
my ill health. And he was covered my body by the saintly dress
of the Hazrat Masood Bak. Allah has accepted the prayer of my
father. And due to the blessing of the saintly dress, there was the
recovery of my health and you people watch the power of my
body in the sama assembly and which is the result of the favour
of such blessing and help of the holy soul in this matter.
It is said that Shah Bahuddin Baja has given him a saintly
dress of Hazrat Masood Bak to his son Abdul Hakeem at the time
of his death. And he was given him glad tidings that whatever
favour and excellence which he has got from the spiritual master
today I am hand over to Abdul Hakeem.
There was a benefit to many thousand persons from the
personalty of Hazrat Abdul Hakeem in each and every calamity.
When his date of death was near then he was called his special
devotee Shaikh Ahmed to inform the people that he will leave this
world on such and date and will meet his Lord in the other world.
If any person wants any desire and wishes then he should visit
him in this matter. It is said that he was left this mortal world on
such and date.

34.Syed Ibrahim Bhikri


He was from Bhikar place in the Sindh area. He was a person of
miracles and supernatural habits. He was a well-known shaikh of
the Sufi chain of Quadra. At that time the ruler of Burhanpur was
Meeran Mubarak Faroqui and who was his great devotee.
He was a famous caliphate of Shaikh Jalaluddin Mutawakil and
he was a great holy person of his time as well as a mystic person,
a person of knowledge of the Islamic Shariat and mystical
knowledge. The students of knowledge who were benefitted by
favours of the manifest and innermost. There were large numbers
of his disciple and devotees and as well as caliphs. He was
nominated Shaikh Nizamuddin as his successor after him.

Including Shaikh Nizamuddin, Shah Aman Allah Amani,


Abdul Razzaq Hansavi are among his famous and well know
caliphs. From his personality of the blessing, there were many
benefits to many thousand people. He has left this world in the
year 990 Hegira year. And he was buried in his shrine building.
Mubarak Shah’s second son Meran Raje Ali Khan Adil Shah
Farooqui who has constructed a grand tomb over his grave. And
which is adjacent to the Atwal river in the north direction and
which is famous even today for the fulfillment of desires and
wishes of the special and general persons who visit his tomb.
35.Shaikh Ibrahim Kalhuda Sindhi
He was decorated with jewels of knowledge and excellence. And
he has followed Islamic Shariah law and piety method with him.
He has the perfection of intimate knowledge of God in the
spiritual world. He was a contemporary person of Mansour
Majzub. There was available to the excellence of the everlasting
supernatural financial help to saints of the sky wealth with him.
In the court of his mystic way (Darweshi) system, he has with the

generosity of the royal king. Every day there will be received by


him from the treasure of Allah many kinds of grace which he used
to distribute among poor and needy people (Auliya Sindh).
One time ruler of the Burhanpur Mubarak Shah Farouqi brought
in his service a large amount of wealth as a present for him and
he was insisted for him to accept his offer. He did not accept his
offer by saying that when there is an arrangement of his needs by
the treasures of Allah so why he accepts it and kept it without
used in waste.
His eyes have a chemical reaction. And its proof is available
in the tradition that one time some persons who were
complaining about their poverty and distress. And they began
saying that in the past there was such dignity of the holy person
that when they look at the stone which will be changed into solid
gold. He was smiled and look at the stone which was lying before
him and then it was converted into solid gold. He told by his
tongue “Oh stone I have just seen toward you. And there was not
his intention to convert you into gold.” Then that goldstone was
converted into the original shape at the same.
Shaikh Ibrahim Kalhuda who was a pious person of his time.
And from him, there were many favours to the persons. And due
to favours of his company and as well as his connection and
sincerity, there were entered many thousand people in the fold of
the Islamic religion.
He has left this mortal world in the year of 956 Hegira at the
age of 95 years. And he was buried in his shrine building. And
this place on the right side of the road which goes from Burhanpur
to Asirgarh near the Atawal river.
36. Hazrat Syed Sharif Rasool Numa
He was the perfect holy person of Allah. And he was a true lover
of the prophet of Allah. He was famous in worship, mystical

exercise, and endeavours as well as he was very strict in the


following of the Islamic Shariat law. And for this reason, he has
such a position in the court of the prophet and so for this reason
he used to show the assemblies of the prophet of Allah to his
disciples and caliphs in the condition of the dream or in
meditation. And for this purpose, he was called Rasool Numa.
His tomb in Burhanpur and which is famous even today for the
fulfillment of desires and wishes of the special and general
persons who visit his tomb.
37. Hazrat Shaikh Abdul Lateef
It was not known in which place he was born. But his ancestors
belonged to the Panjab area.
He was such a holy person who has firm on the orders of
Islamic Shariat law. He engaged very much in the sermons and
advice. He used to meet his expenses by way of business. But
almost all the time he used to live in loneliness in the worship of
Allah. He used to avoid accepting gifts and presents from the
persons.
Aurangzeb Alamgir who used to present in his house and he
used to get favours of the innermost from him. And he used to
hear advice from the shaikh and used to act upon them. He was a
contemporary of person Burhanuddin Raz Ilahi.
One time Aurganzeb want to give him title papers of some
villages but he was not accepted his offer. As he was a person of
contentment. He was given advice to the king to give to the public
more and more felicities so that people will pray for him more.
And this good act will become a blessing in your rule period.
He has left this mortal world in the year 1066 Hegira. And his
tomb is situated in the locality of Doulat Maidan in Burhanpur.

38.Hazrat Wali Mohammed Shuttari

He was the uncle of Shaikh Laskar Mohammed Arif Billah


Burhanpuri and he was the disciple and caliph of Shaikh Qutub
Jehan Zakir Nahar Wala and after that, he went into the presence
of Hazrat Shaikh Mohammed Ghouse Gawaliori and he was
obtained grace there. And in the year 982 year, he came to
Burhanpur from Ahmedabad. And spread his light to the land of
Burahpur and he was engaged during his all of life for the
instruction of knowledge and training of the students.
For the book Nuzat Arwa he has written one best book of
commentary. It was known about him that upon him there was
overpower of the passion of Allah. And when he will weep due to
fear of Allah then his clothes become wet and red by the falling
drops of the tear from his eyes.
He was a person of the miracles. He left this world in the year
987 Hegira. And his tomb is situated near the mausoleum of
Shaikh Laskar Mohammed Arif Billa and which is famous even
today for the fulfillment of desires and wishes of the special and
general persons who visit his tomb.

39.Hazrat Shaikh Abu Yazid Shuttari


He was the son of Hazrat Shaikh Lashkar Mohammed Arif
Burhanpuri. Upon the death of his father, he has become his
successor and caliphate.
His shrine building used to be always full of his disciples and
students. He used to engage in the service of all persons.
He used to make his disciples in a level of perfection in a short
period of time. He used to go in the presence of Hazrat Shah Eisa
Jind Allah before sunrise and used to get favour from him.

From his personality of the blessing, there were benefitted


many thousand students of the religion.
He has left this mortal world in the 999 Hegira year. And in his
tomb in Burhanpur and which is famous even today for the
fulfillment of desires and wishes of the special and general
persons who visit his tomb.

40.Hazrat Bibi Rasti

She was the daughter of Arif Billah who was the spiritual master
of Masish Al-Aulya. She was a person of knowledge, and
excellence, and mystic as well as she was a holy woman and has
a most higher level status in mysticism. And she was well known
as Rabia of her time.
Masih Al-Auliya and Abdul Rahim Khan Khanan used to go
to her house with fondness to hear lessons in her teaching
assembly.

Due to his lessons, there was a great benefit which was


reached to many thousand persons. And they have reached the
final destination.
Her grave is situated in her room. She has left this mortal
world on the first of Shawwal in the year 993 Hegira.
