1. Feminist theory- viewing the social world in a way that eliminates
the forces that create and support inequality, oppression, and
injustice, and in doing so, promotes the pursuit of equality and
justice.
2. Hermeneutical Phenomenology - it is concerned with the life
world or human experience as it is lived.
3. Human-Environment System - it is a scientific framework that
aims to understand the interactions between human system and
environment systems and how changes in one consequently affect
the other.
4. Institutional theory - is a theory on the deeper and more resilient
aspects of social structure. It considers the processes by which
structures, including schemes, rules, norms, and routines, become
established as authoritative guidelines for social behaviour.
5. Psychoanalysis - refers to the theories on the human mind that is
used in treating mental disorders and illnesses.
6. Rational Choice - also known as choice theory or rational action
theory, is a framework for understanding and often formally
modelling social and economic behavior. The basic premise of
rational choice theory is that aggregate social behavior results from
the behavior of individual actors, each of whom is making their
individual decisions.
