LAN3100: Workplace Interaction

Locating the Moodle course of your English module

1. Go to http://elearn.vtc.edu.hk. In the login page, key in your student number and


email password in the username and password fields, respectively.

2. Find the Moodle course with the code of the English module and the name of
your teacher, for example, LAN3100 and Chi Kiu Wong. Click the hyperlink.

3. Done! The Moodle course of your English module is ready for your use.

Working on your Reflection Record

1. Click to download the Reflection Record Form.


2. Click to see more instructions on completing the
reflection record
3. The reflection record form looks similar to the one in the screenshot below.
Complete it and remember to save it.

4. Return to . Scroll down to the bottom of the page and


click “Upload files”

5. Drag and drop your Reflection Record Form from your computer to the area
within the dash line. Then click “Save changes”.

6. You’ll be redirected to the page of “Reflection Record – activities”. Scroll down to


the bottom of the page and you’ll see your submission.

Working on the Language Quizzes

1. In the first page of the Moodle course, .


2. Click “Attempt quiz now”. Note that the closing time displayed below might be
different from that of your module.

3. Click “Start Attempt” then attempt all questions.

4. After answering all questions, click “Submit all and finish”; or you can revise your
answers by clicking “Return to attempt” before the closing time. Again, the
closing time displayed below can be different from that of your module.

Changing the target language of the “double-click dictionary”

In the Reading Everywhere and Glossaries at Work platforms, you could double click
a word to get its meaning. The steps below enable you to change the target language
of the dictionary (English to Chinese, English to Japanese, English to French…).

1. Click “Reading Everywhere” and then “Dashboard”

2. Next, click “Settings” and then “Dictionary Box”

3. Choose the desired language, say, Japanese, and then click “Save Changes”

download the Reflection Record Form.
2. Click to see more instructions on completing the
reflection record
3. The reflection record form looks similar to the one in the screenshot below.

4. After completing the record, return to . Scroll down to


the bottom of the page and click “Upload files”

Uploading your CV and cover letter


1. In the first page of the Moodle course, click .
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page. Find and click the “Upload files” button.

3. Drag your CV and cover letter from your computer to the area within the dash
line. When the file has been uploaded, click “Save changes”.

4. You’ll be redirected to the CV and Cover Letter page. Scroll to the bottom of the
page again and you’ll find your submission there.
