Read your book from page 93 – 99 then answer the following questions below. Write your answer
on the space provided.
Activity 1:
1. What enables human persons to establish meaningful interactions with others?
-People all have the inherent need to belong. This is based on the idea that humans are
fundamentally drawn to having a social relationships. Hence, it is basic for humans to want
to be in a relationahip with others,family or social relationships.

2. How is intersubjectivity related to self-awareness and transcendence?

-Another way of seeing intersubjectivity in relation to respect is that by keeping an open mind
and accepting that people will always be different from one another due to their own experiences
and learned behavior,people can still get along by agreeing to respect one another and agreeing
to disagree on certain things.

3. Discuss instances in your life when you engaged in ‘’seeming’’ behavior. What drove you to
act in such manner?
-When my sister disrespected me, I cursed her because I was frustrated and angry. Yet I
know that what i did was wrong,and we apologize to each other.
4. How does establishing “dialogue” with others benefit a person?
-Having a dialogue with others is the best way to resolve issues with people. Agreeing to
one will make everyone calm even before it starts.

I always treat the people I meet with respect.


-Everyone need to be respected even though you know the person or not. Its because
when how you treat a person thats what they treat you back. We have to be kind and
respect the people surrounds us.

Activity 2:
1. How does empathy enable persons to establish genuine relationships with others?
-Empathy enables a person to establish a genuine relationship with other people because
of mutual understanding. They understand each other and that connection makes a
relationship real and solid.

2. What is availability? Have you ever made yourself available for others?
-Availability could mean you are free you are not doing anything. Yes, especially to my
friends,family and someone. If they need me I can be free I want to spend my time with
them.
3. Why is alienation a threat to genuine human relationships?
-Because in this modern days,people are so focused into labels. The labels given to people
that comes from a different country or race or any social groups. That we forgot the value of
genuine relationshil because we tend to isolate ourselves with in our own race.

-I strongly believe that the disable and underprivileged are still able to contribute in the society.
Nick Vujicic is the best example of a differently abled person who have contributed greatly in the
society,he is born without arms and legs but he is still able to contribute in the society by inspiring
people around the world.
2. How will you be able to show appreciation for the skills and talents of persons with
disabilities and the underprivileged?
- I would start by getting them to show their unique abilities,forget disabilities,they are
everywhere. And also to treat them like a normal person living in this world.

-Yes, we make bonds and memorable moment those times. It makes us very memorable because
all we can do is laugh all the time, we are so happy and we can set a side our problems. It affects
me a lot because when im down I just remember those memories and I can be fine.

2. Research on a person with disability who has lived a productive and meaningful despite
his or her disability. Discuss his or her background, significant achievements, as well as
the traits that enabled him or her to succeed in life.
-Nick Vujicic who was born without arms and legs. He is a painter , swimmer, skydiver
and motivational speaker.Nick decided to become vocal about living with disabilities and
finding hope and meaning in life. The charismatic Australian now travels the world
addresing huge crowds. He has visited more than 57 countries and given over three
thousand talks, some of which have attracted audiences as large as 110,000 people.

-Community often represent an amorphous influence on the lives of adolescence. Depending
on the purpose,community has been defined as a geographic locality or as a group of individuals
who share common goals. Our definition of community encompasses multiple factors that shape
the culture of adolescence.

2. Which traits or values identify us as Filipino? Why are these traits and values considered
important by Philippine society?
- The traits or values that identify us are being religious,ability to survive typhoons
amd etc,joy and humor,hard work ,industriousness and creative. This is important to
us because it represent us Filipinos being a great individuals.

-The harshness of living in any society breeds the occurence of distress among people
living in it.

-There is always something in every individuals that can bring together so the society can
form a change. One's skill, an intellectual or practical skill, might change his/her condition
financially and morally.This can create a positive inspiration to others.

-They constract those roads that are really ruined that give accident to anyone. This
changes can lessen the accidents to those streets.

-Yes,because community and society influence us on our daily basis like we met people on the
streets saying hi/hello or adapting to environment base on what people and most of all it helps us

1. Your brother is an overachiever. Being on top of the class is what makes him feel fulfilled.
However, for this quarter, he got grades lower than usual. He is extremely saddened by this and
becomes withdrawn and aloof.
-As his sister i will tell him that grade is just a number. He dont need to be pressured because he
got lower grades.There have many chance to get the higher grades for him. I will cheer him up
and make him feel that we are proud even though he got the lower grade so that he don't get sad
and disappointed by himself.
2. Your best friend is dating a married man. Despite her family’s disapproval, she does not want to
break up with him. She says that he is the only one who makes her very happy.
-I will tell her she need to let the man go because even though he loves the man its not the right
thing to do. Its because the man is married and she can ruin the relationship of others. I will advice
to her that sooner or letter she can find that man who really loves her like the married man.

3. Your classmate is going through tough times. His parents died in a car accident, his family is
experiencing financial difficulties, and his long- time girlfriend broke up with him. He constantly
talks about taking his own life to end his problems.
- Life is unfair. There are things that you dont expect to happen, he need to be strong for the next
page of his life by himself. No matter how hard life is, ending your life is not a solution.

4. Your cousin is battling a terminal disease. She has a loving and helpful support system
comprised of family and friends, yet her fear of dying is getting worse. She feels depressed and
loses sleep over the idea of passing away soon.
-She need to be strong for herself and the people around her. She dont have to think that she
pass away. All she need to do is fight her sickness for the people who waiting for her to ne okay.
She needs to trust God that everything will be okay. And the prayer is the answer for everything.
Reflect….
1. What is that one thing that, if taken from you, would take away the meaning of your
life?
-My parents, its because they give me life they are my life too. They give everything
for me and for my siblings,all the sacrifices to give us a better life. That's why im
doing my best to payback their sacrifices for us. I want to have a better life with
them, give those stuffs that make them happy. If they taken from me? I lose
everything too. I dont know to restart without them and I wont let that happen.

2. How would you have turned out as a person if you have not experienced happiness?
How about if you have not gone through any suffering?

-Everyone deserves happiness. So that all of us experienced happiness even how hard our life is. There is
no person who dont experience that because we can be happy with some reasons,with ourselves,friends
and family so we dont have the reason not to be happy.
-All of us get into suffering by any reason. If we can be happy we can suffer too. But after
all the suffering we experience there is happiness after.

3. Have you experienced dealing with the death of a loved one? How did you cope with
the situations?

-Yes, first its too hard to accept when you are in that situation,you dont know how to restart your life when
you lose someone you love. But at the end you will realize that you need to accept the fact even though it
is to hard but you need to do,so that you can let them free and let your heart free.
