1. For the following circuit diagram:


(a) Calculate (i) the total admittance and impedance, (ii) the total current I, IR, IL and IC.
(b) Calculate (i) the power factor and reactive factor (ii) the apparent power, real power and
reactive power.
(c) Draw the admittance diagram, phasor or vector diagram and power triangle.
Where the magnitude of V= 80 + 2× m4 + 4× m5 (Calculate the value of V from your ID)

2. (i) With the calculation of Thevenin’s equivalent impedance and Thevenin’s equivalent voltage source, find
the Thevenin’s equivalent circuit at the terminal a and b.
(ii) Find the value of load impedance (ZL) to receive the maximum power.
(iii) Calculate the maximum power which is received by the load.
