Introduction:

I am opening a company which will contain 24 systems and one server. The name of my company
is IT SOLUTIONS. I am opening this company in Multan and Lahore. Both will have same
systems and same networks. My goal is to provide different types of software’s and sell them to
earn maximum profit. I have chosen HP hardware for my company. My total budget for this
company is 6,00000 and my investment is approximately 5,00000. I have selected my company
employs on their experience basis. I have selected 15 members for my Multan branch and 17
members for my Lahore branch. My company has great potential for those with great talent and
great abilities to run a company. As a business owner I need to first decide an area of focus in the
market. There are main two sectors in IT SOLUTIONS.

1-Software Product

2-Software Service

The software developed from my company will be fully reliable and understandable and
with that I will be giving them 15 days of checking so if any error or bug occurs in the 1st 15 days
then revisions will be made for free. I will be advertising my company by the use of social media
and running different ad campaigns. For the new clients I will be selling my software’s at a very
low cost as it’s the start of the company and with the passage of time, it will be at level of charging
an ideal cost to clients. I will hire well trained and skillful employees on percentage basis.
According to my rough idea the profit for first month will be around 50 to 60,000. From that Profit
I can take a good start for my company. Before opening my company, I got it registered from
government of Pakistan and paid all the taxes which were necessary. I will be taking 14 to 15%
sales tax from my customers. As a starter my company is giving free installation to customers till
1st two months, my company develops the software’s according to the needs of clients with two
months of maintenance after product delivery.

Honesty with our customers and employees. IT solutions will build new products and invent new
models for more revenue. IT solutions build the software for customer before deadline. These are
the reasons which make IT solution in best software companies in Pakistan.

The following mentioned facilities will be provided by my company to other people and for
providing these facilities, I needed other tech and other stuff to start my company branches
(Multan main branch and Lahore sub branch) so mentioned below are the following things I
gathered for my company with in my budget.

Years ago, 20th century was known as the industrialization to the world but now this era
of time (21st century) is all about information technology. People have reached to the peak level in
making connections via networking in all around the world in this era of information technology.
People also use internet of devices via artificial intelligence. On the off chance that there is single
word to depict society in the mid-21st century, it most likely should be "connected.". The Internet,
particularly the World Wide Web (WWW), is completely instilled in our regular day to day
existences. People are getting more and more works on network also when there are different types
of projects to develop, there is a phase of network setup which is required during the development
of project.

All the requirements for both of the branches of company are gathered now I had to
make sure that I get the good tech including my routers and switches and also employees of IT
SOLUTIONS should have good knowledge of software development and with that me and my
company has to meet the market goals, I have to look at other companies doing the same tasks so
my company can provide better services than those companies as the competition is high now a
days so it is better to be better than others. when I will be fulfilling all these requirements to be in
the competition with other companies in the market. For IT solutions there is a need of making a
network topology which should connect both Multan and Lahore branches together via a good
network topology.
Network topology

This network topology is created for ITSOLUTIONS in this network topology, I have connected
my main server which is in Multan with the Multan router because the main branch of IT
SOLUTIONS is in Multan and Multan and Lahore routers are connected together through an ISP
router and with the routers of both Multan and Lahore there are switches connected which connect
12 computers together of each city. IP Addresses of each device is mentioned in the figure so it
would be very easy to understand this network topology designed for IT SOLUTIONS.
Problems in Inventory Management
The main problem was that there was no record of inventory which I got for IT SOLUTIONS so
a person who can keep the record manually or a specified software to keep the record was
necessary for IT SOULTIONS

How I managed my inventory

For managing my inventory of purchased devices, I have got a software developed specially to
keep the record of the inventory which is in use and also including the inventory which is spare
and can be used if any accidental event can harm the running inventory. The software also includes
the costs of inventory and other things such as

• Ordering cost
• Holding cost
• Shortage if inventory
• Quality control
• Taxes
• Danger of over investment
• Storage space
• Interest
• Staff management/conflicts
Service level agreement
Agreement for maintenance and future services between IT SOLUTIONS and MULTINET,
IT solutions have bought all the routers, switches and systems from MULTINET and MULTINET
will be responsible if the devices stop to function with in the 1 st Three years and it would be free
of cost because the warranty given by MULTINET is three years and if anything happens after the
three years then ITSOLUTIONS will pay the repair cost for the devices or get the devices replaced
by paying the upper cost and have additional warranty if the devices are replaced and new contract
according to the requirement of that time. If we look at the maintenance of these installed devices,
then according to agreement MULTINET will updating and doing the maintenance after every 3
months for the 1st Three years and after three years, the maintenance contract can be extended too
according to the requirement of that time, For the external network which includes the linking of
Multan and Lahore branches, this is also setup by MULTINET and IT SOLUTIONS have paid
external cost for this facility and MULTINET is responsible for setting up this network topology
and if any unwanted event occurs by which the network between Lahore and Multan branches get
affected, than MULTINET would be responsible for that. Like the device maintenance and repair
cost agreement, this agreement for external network also includes the same time period of three
years and this also includes the maintenance of this external network that MULTINET will be
providing after every three months so nothing goes wrong. The agreement between IT SOLUTION
and MULTINET states about the warranty of maintenance of devices that are purchased by IT
SOULTIONS and the maintenance of external network setup by MULTINET. Terms and
conditions are mentioned above in the agreement. This agreement starts from 1 st July 2019 which
clearly shows that MULTINET would be providing maintenance of network and devices free of
cost till 31st June 2022. If MULTINET refuses to follow the agreement and do not provide the
mentioned services in agreement than they have to return the total cost paid by IT SOLUTIONS.
If anything happens to MULTINET and they have to shut down their company, still they would
have to pay all the cost paid by the IT SOULTIONS and in case anything happens to IT
SOLUTIONS and I have to shut down the company then MULTINET would not be responsible
to provide any services and maintenance for IT SOLUTIONS and devices would be returned to
MULTINET at half cost according to the current rate of devices at the return time and the
agreement will be ended before due date, if everything goes smooth than this agreement will last
till 31st June 2019.

2960XR is a DUAL core switch and is selected for its high speeds and capabilities shown below.
Device purchase and installation
All the devices that are used for IT SOLUTIONS are purchased from MULTINET company
which provides different networking devices and also provide the installation of the purchased
devices, According to my survey this was the only company which was in the top 10 companies
in providing best quality and with a reliable cost so I preferred this company for purchasing of
my network devices and also installation of my network devices in my both of the branches.

Device Repair and maintenance

As it is mentioned above in the service level agreement also that there would be no repair cost
unless the device is burned or broken due to the user fault, excluding these symptoms, if the
device stops to function with in the 1st three years , then there would be no repair cost for the
devices and maintenance of the devices will be provided by MULTINET for free of cost for the
1st three years so for my company IT SOLUTIONS, it was the best deal I could ever get.

Security strategies
For developing a good security for IT SOLUTIONS there were few factors which for important
for me to follow and are mentioned below
• Identify network assets.
• Analyze security risks.
• Analyze security requirements and tradeoffs.
• Develop a security plan.
• Define a security policy.
• Develop procedures for applying security policies.
• Develop a technical implementation strategy.
• Achieve buy-in from users, managers, and technical staff.
• Train users, managers, and technical staff.
• Implement the technical strategy and security procedures.
• Test the security and update it if any problems are found.
• Maintain security.
Network management strategies
There are total 3 strategies which I used for my network management.
• Start Outside of my Network
Before I even consider a network management tool, I need to look at my security processes and
devices. This includes understanding what devices are being connected to my network and who
is using the network.
• Establish Security Standards
No matter the size, I have to establish security standards in preparation for an attack. Network
management tools can be used to monitor devices and device usage. This includes email
monitoring, personal web use, and access control. This monitoring, mixed with compliance
training and security updates, will help keep your network secure.
• Set Up Alerts
Network management tools make setting up alerts quick and easy. I may be surprised to learn
that I have other options aside from spending thousands of Rupees on network security to
implement alerts. Alerts can be set up to monitor all devices on your network, including the
hardware.

Devices for Enterprise Network

As we know that an enterprise network is the backbone for encouraging an organization's
correspondences and interfacing PCs and gadgets all through branches. So, I have chosen CISCO
devices for this purpose as they are very fast and efficient and fits according to my needs and
demands.

How I documented my network Design

These were same main steps which I followed to document my network design
• Create a network documentation policy
• Create a network topology diagram
• Document server names, roles and IP addresses
• Create a change log for each server
 • Document software versions and proof of licenses
• Document hardware components
• Document the Active Directory
• Document your backup procedures
• Label everything
• Evaluate your documentation

Conclusion
I planned to start a company and when I started a company which I named IT SOLUTIONS for
the development of different types of software’s and provide different services and I opened two
branches of that company, the main branch in Multan and sub branch in Lahore. Then I gathered
all the requirements that were necessary to start my company, I created a good budget to start the
company and get the required devices for my company with in the budget. Then I got all the
network devices with service level agreement for future from the other company named
MULTINET and after that I gathered a high-class team to run both of the branches of my
company. After this I got my network topology setup which includes 3 routers 2 switches and 24
computers in total for the two branches, after setting up my network topology, I got a custom
software to manage all my inventory. Now after all this I am able to compete other companies in
the market and also earn a great revenue from my own developed company
