ABOUT NLIU

Established in 1997, NLIU is a premier university in the field of legal


education and one of the best centers for legal training and research
in the world.

The University organizes two moot court competitions & one client
counselling competition annually, namely NLIU-Justice R.K. Tankha
International Arbitration Moot, NLIU National Corporate Law Moot
Court Competition and NLIU-Link Legal Client Counselling
Competition.

Format of the Competition

Despite these unprecedented times, we at NLIU strive to make the competition


bigger and better. Adapting to the circumstances the competition shall be
organized virtually through video conferencing. The details of the platform shall be
disclosed at a later point in time. The format of the competition shall consist of four
rounds of pleadings. First shall be preliminary rounds where each team shall submit
arguments from both the sides i.e. claimants and respondents. The top 8 teams
shall subsequently advance through quarter finals followed by semi-finals and a
grand finale between the final surviving teams after grilling set of knockouts.

The teams shall argue sides allotted to them as per the rules of the competition.

Registration

The registration fee for the competition is


INR 3000 for Indian teams,
USD 100 for International teams.

The institutions can register themselves provisionally through their designated


Moot Court Association for the Competition by sending an email of such
registration to mca@nliu.ac.in.
