REFLECTION AND SYNTHESIS:

1. What are the barriers to our collective learning in the age of information?

I think one of barrier to our collective learning is the spread of unreliable information
and fake news. People now a day are using social media or technologies to gather
information and be aware of what are the current issues in the local and internationally.
We learned by means of teaching but in the age of modern technology we now
learned by simply searching it in the internet. However, there are some users tend to
create news and information that can bring high risk and panic to people due to
creating false information and threats. Some information is not from credible and
reliable sources and doesn't even have evidences and basis. Another barrier is the
people's low reading comprehension. We all know that not everyone has the same
level of understanding that is why it can probably lead to misinterpretation. People
wants to gather data’s and be informed however not everyone is with the same
capacity to learn.
2. Is there a need to resist globalization?

Globalization widely helps countries in terms of businesses and economies. There's

no need to resist for it is big opportunity to us by means of trading and collaborations. It
is also where communication started and technologies arise.

3. Explain and justify why given fact that there is no world government, the
contemporary world does not lie on single entity or individual, the community
and the different organizations in societies?

It is true indeed that there's no existing world government in terms of physical

attribute rather we have government in each respective countries around the
globe. However, it does not replenish the fact that, we, the individuals, the citizens,
the community and the different organizations in societies composes a much bigger
society as a whole. Our norms, values and different traditions construct togetherness
in facing and judging individual morale regarding the given circumstance. Hence,
the little matters we often neglect contribute to what we called world government.

There is no world government because every country has different customs,

traditions, cultures and norms. We are different from where we started to be in.
Countries also have different kind of government people wanted to have. It is hard
for a government to manage all people around the world where in fact we do not
want other people violates our rights and value as humans. The world should not
only be relying to minority and those people who are with power but it must treat
everyone with equal rights. It is enough to only have international organizations
which bind countries in unity and togetherness. The world government will surely be
not effective because we are not at the same race and status in life. Nations are of
different economic stability and those who are with high economic status will surely
does not want to suffer poverty from poor countries.
4. Cite at least three personal experiences that reveal a negative and positive
impact of modern connection that we are living in today.

Positive:

1. As technology arises, the life of every individual becomes easy. I am free and
able to access information whenever and wherever I am. I can now do my school-
related activities without thinking the difficulty in finding sources. It helps me to become
aware and be informed even if I am in school or at home.

2. Communications become possible even if people are apart. In just a click I

can now communicate and collaborate with others. Through the help of technologies, I
became more responsible student and citizen.

3. Technologies really help firms and businesses to operate effectively. It lessens

the task of an individual in a short period of time.

Negative.

1. Technologies become the substitute of a human labor. It is sad to say that

there is no work available for some job seekers because of the existence of artificial
intelligence. It also somehow makes people rely only to technologies which may
probably lead to being irresponsible individual.

2. Too much explosion and used of technologies are bad. Sometimes it affects
our health physically, mentally and emotionally. It is also one of the common causes of
conflicts and fights among relationships. Quality times are being affected. Abusing
technologies may also lead to issues concerning our health and relations.

3. Though technology helps us to access information there will still be existing

fake news. We are sometimes relying on what we read and hear without knowing the
truth. In that case, we are prone to disseminate these information to others not
knowingly it is fake. Technologies also trigger those hackers to attack and steal personal
information, money or even identity of another person.
