Lesson plan: Daily Exercise

Materials required: laptop,speaker A5 paper

1. Sunshine heart of love house The rules below must be told to the children. Ensure they
rules are sitting on either chairs or on the floor before
explaining the rules.

1. Do not talk over others


2. Do not play rough with your peers/classmates
3. Respect all the volunteers and your classmates.
4. Do not damage the property around you.
5. Inappropriate language isn’t tolerated.
6. Inappropriate behaviour isn’t tolerated.
7. Listen to the instructions given by the facilitator
carefully.

2. Indoor game/activity Strip 7

Setup for the game:


For the circle, ensure there are enough stools for every
player participating in the game.

Playing the game:


Choose one student randomly tell the student to start
counting from number 1 then followed by his friend
clockwise.Until the count of 7, students may not say 7 but
it is replaced with applause.

After clapping, then starting again from numbers 1, 2, 3


and so on. The longer the pronunciation of these numbers
must be the faster.

Penalties are given if: voicing late, saying the forbidden


word (number 7), clapping on regular numbers and
mispronouncing a sequence of numbers.

3. Silent sitting and splitting of Silent sitting needs to be done after the indoor

Once completed, split the group into children (those who


are 9 and under) and youth (10 and older).

2.What do we mean when we talk about mental health?
3.Hands up –ideas/words
4.Give definition to class:“Mental Health is about our
feelings, our thinking, our emotionsand our moods –
things you can’t really see, but that affect our lives in lots
of ways.”[For further guidance on a definition of mental
health, please see the information sheet for teachers
included in this pack]
5.It’s different to our physical health as we can’t always
see it in the same way that we can see a broken arm or
chicken pox.
