Activity 2. Assessment scenarios

For each of the following situations, indicate which method provides the best match. In
determining the appropriate method, apply the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy. Justify your choice
in one or two statements.
1. Mr Roa wants if his students can identify the different parts of a flower.

Teacher observations is the best strategy that Mr. Roa will do on the grounds that
this strategy will support Mr. Roa to get data if learning happens in the classroom.
Progressing evaluation will focus on the moment comprehension of the students. This
situation will fall on Cognitive domain in the remembering level since this action is
requiring remembrance.

2. Mr. Bunquin wants to find out if his students examine the quality of education in the
country.

Mr. Bunquin can utilize teacher observation. Since this is an information


gathering strategy which will distinguish if the students can examine the quality of
education in the country. This will be on cognitive domain in the evaluating level in light
of the fact that there must be guidelines to determine a quality of a certain material.

3. Mr Sy wants to check if her students can subtract two digit numbers.

Mr. Sy can utilize constructed-response format since he needs the students to find
their own answer. Furthermore, their critical thinking skill will be improve on the action.
The students will create answer in response to a difficult which is the subtraction. This is
under cognitive domain in the applying level in light of the fact that there must be a
method in solving this kind of issue.
