B. Interview

In this activity, conduct a virtual interview with a teacher at the secondary level who teachers
subjects in your field of specialization. Ask him/her about the kind of information he/she needs
and how he/she uses such information to make decisions concerning his/her instruction and
preparation of teaching and learning activities. Below is your interview sheet.

INTERVIEW GUIDE

I. PRELIMINARY QUESTIONS

1. What is your name? Reann Vee Condes - Gragasin

2. How long have you been teaching? 7 years in private and 2 years in public , 9 years and counting.

3. What subjects are you teaching? In the private school I experienced teaching: English, Values
education, Aral Pan, MAPEH and TLE but today I teach pure values education from grades 7 to 9.
4. What classes are you handling this school year? Values Education from grades 7 to 9.

II. GUIDE QUESTIONS

1. How do you gather information about students in terms of their knowledge, skills, and

values? What assessment tools do you use? By knowing their personal background and by asking
their ideas, testing their multiple intelligent by MI test questions, observing how they react or do in
class activities and most importantly do assessments. Cooperative learning methods activities,
identification test, solving problem, essay, multiple choices. I also use SMART for weighing skills
and understanding about the topic.

2. When do you conduct assessments? Sometimes before and during the class but most of the time
after the lesson.

3. How do you utilize the information in your profession? I make it as my guide in making y lesson
plans, use the most effective methods in teaching and reaching the students hearts and let them
enjoy it. I think that will be the most effective way of having assessment. Since I wanted them to not
just know what that lesson means but why and how they will apply it to practical life situations.

4. How does assessment help you become a more effective teacher? It measures what, how and why
they learned the lessons. That really matters to us teachers and somehow it measures how our
methods of teaching become effective or ineffective to them.
