Compensate them properly so thay would not migrate to USA or Europe to get fair
compensations and respects. The facts that they are welcome in the western worlds
speak for itself that they are quality teachers.

Philippines already has many excellent high quality teachers but face a barrier of entry
which is that many East Asian and Middle Eastern countries do not consider them as
qualified in ESL like the other English speaking countries in terms of getting a visa
which is a very racist policy.

Of course higher salary and benefits can help.

Based on my A2A feed, and not on acquaintance with actual Filipino teachers, I would
have to say stop graduating students who cheat with regularity on their homework.

When Filipino teacher prep students post homework questions with the question
number still on them, it shows a serious lack of respect for the profession they claim
to want to enter.

I sincerely hope that they are a very small minority, but I literally get dozens of these
questions per day - and it worries me.

I’ve never been to the Philippines but I have spent a number of years working with
Filipino teachers (K-12) in countries in South East Asia, especially Brunei.

Based on my experience, Filipino teachers must be among the best in the world. They
have energy, enthusiasm, dedication, an impressive work ethic, and are ‘natural’
performers, making them superb at maintaining students’ attention and encouraging
participation in the learning process.
