The three floor line drawn parallel to and 3 feet from baseline starting halfway
between home plate and first base.

Balk – an illegal motion of pitcher with one or more players on bases

Line drive- a ball hit with considerable force which goes directly and sharply
into the field.
Infield fly- a fly ball hit that can be handled by the infielders.
Initial sack- first base
Keystone sack- second base
Sacrifice – a ball hit by the batter which advances the base runner
Strike- a legally pitched ball that crosses the plate between the batters knees.
Walk- when the batter advances to first base due to legally pitched balls.
Wild pitch- a legally pitched ball that is so high or wide of the plate.

-If first based is occupied , he must be ready for a defense play to second base.
Shortstop:
-shortstop assumes position about 4 or 5 yards behind a line drawn
-assumes defensive stance as pitch is about to be delivered.
Third Base:
-third baseman position about 4 yards inside the base line.
-if third base is occupied he is in a very important position to assist in
preventing a score by the defensive team.
-most advance closer to third baseline just in front of line drawn from second
base to third base.
8) Define the job of pitcher.?
-pitcher is considered in pitching position only when the catcher is in position to
receive the pitch
-he shall make his pitch not less than one second or more
9) what is illegal pitching ?
Any delivery of the ball made by pitcher to the batter not as prescribed in the
pitching rules is considered illegal

10) When is a base runner gets score?


A run is scored when a base runner rounds all of the bases by stepping on each
one in order from first second third and crosses home plate.
