The heroes rescue Jason, a courageous boy who has
fled from the evil priests of Moo. Can the heroes
defeat the priests and save Jason’s village?
The Mountains of Klesh
Among the Mountains of Klesh simple peasants,
tend their farms in the shadow of ancient
monuments dedicated to forgotten gods.
The heroes are exploring for treasure here, in the
ruins of lost kingdoms.
One day the heroes see a boy scrambling down the
side of a cliff face. As he climbs a mountain tiger
appears behind him. Can the heroes save him? The
mountain tiger might
• Stalk stealthily among the crags
• Pounce with fangs and teeth
• Drag a hero down the mountain
The Travelling Temple of Moo
Once rescued the boy is grateful. He introduces
himself as Jason, and blurts out his tale of horror.
Yesterday a temple appeared atop the Jade
Mountain. As people wondered what to do hooded
men emerged and used strange magics to kidnap
everyone in his village. The villagers are now being
held in a pen on top of the mountain, and they can
hear strange bellows from within the temple.
Reaching the temple
There is a rough path up the mountain, but the
ascent isn’t untroubled.

• The path skirts a cliff, but has crumbled away.
The heroes will have to climb.
• A hooded figure appears among the rocks
above the path and hurls a glass orb which
smashes, releasing a poisonous green fog
On reaching the summit the heroes can see the
Temple of Moo. It has high walls patrolled by
more hooded figures. Outside is a pen holding
the villagers. As the heroes watch a dozen are led
inside, seemingly drugged into obedience.
Bo-Vine and the Great Beast of Moo
The Temple of Moo is overseen by the insane Arch
Hierophant Bo-Vine. He uses its magic to travel
the realms harvesting new victims to sacrifice to
the great beast that dwells at its centre. Things the
heroes might encounter inside are
• Furious temple guards with scimitars
• Stone bulls that come to life and attack the
heroes
• Hooded priests hurling orbs of poison gas and
casting spells of confusion
• Tripwires that trigger crossbows concealed
behind the eyes of statues
In the centre of the temple dwells the Great
Beast of Moo. The beast is a giant bull, with
brass hooves and horns, and flaming breath. It is
tended by worshipful priests who are preparing
the kidnapped villagers for sacrifice by Bo-Vine.
Things that might happen when the heroes arrive
are
• The bull ignites the sacrificial pyre with its
flaming breath
• Bo-Vine shepherds victims forward with a
viscious spear
• The bull charges madly, threatening to topple
the pillars that hold up the temple
Regardless of what happens to Bo-Vine and the
great beast once the heroes and villagers leave the
temple it vanishes, never to be seen again.

Snowflake her friendly and ferocious husky
companion.
