What makes action good or bad? What makes person good or bad? What makes the
person unethical and ethical?
Have you ever done anything wrong in your life even when knowing that what you are
doing is wrong? Why? Many if not most of us had this kind of experience in our lives where
we’ve made choices and decisions of doing and acting on wrong things.
What makes us good or bad? If you will ask random strangers this question you will
probably get different answers depending on their individual ways of viewing things. Some may
tell you that a good person is someone that helps other people, do good deeds or someone
that knows how to pay respect to others. When I was a child I often think that to be a good
person I must obey my parents and those that are older than me. Of course just like any other
kids I wanted to be a good boy, I would not get into fights with my classmates or friends and
remembering telling myself not to lie and steal things that were not mine. But later I found
myself doing those things, I got into a fight with my friend, I learned to lie to my parents and
later on learned to steal money from them. I thought being good person is that easy but I was
wrong, in life we are always doing or making choices whether may it be right or wrong, most of
the times we do bad things even when knowing that it is bad because of the benefits we can
get from doing it. People nowadays do bad because it gives them the attention that they are
craving for, it makes them feel that if they do those kind of things people around them will
eventually give them notice. To be a good person is to have a good behavior and character. We
aren’t born good or evil but is faced with choices that will make us good or bad.
