STEWARDSHIP AGREEMENT

This STEWARSHIP AGREEMENT is made an entered into by and between:

PAMPANGA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY (PSAU), represented by its President, DR.

HONORIO M. SORIANO, JR. otherwise known as the “FIRST PARTY”
And
_______________________________________________________, of legal age, presently
residing at ______________________________________________, otherwise known as the
“SECOND PARTY”

I. PURPOSE

The purpose of this Stewardship Agreement is to protect the natural, scenic,

aesthetic, cultural and ecological interest of PSAU properties against land grabbers
and intruders of lands. It will also protect the natural value of the PSAU area and its
legacy will remain intact. Environmental problems will also monitored against
intentional or inadvertent destruction.

II. MUTUAL BENEFIT

This Stewardship Agreement will provide opportunities for both parties. They share
an interest and commitment in restoring and improving the significant natural areas
of conservation of the PSAU properties. All projects conceived under this Agreement
are mutually beneficial for both parties.
In consideration of the above premises, the parties agree as follows:

III. THE FIRST PARTY SHALL:

A. Allow the SECOND PARTY to utilize the area of the PSAU.

B. Monitor thru SAUP Management Committee and invalidates this agreement and
gets the land back if neglect or non-development of the area is found.
C. Secure the whole area with perimeter fence and provide personnel to manage
the area’s peace and order.
D. Provide utility structures such as access roads, water lines, and electrical lines.

IV. THE SECOND PARTY SHALL

A. Utilize the area up to 10 years, renewal to another 10 years subject to annual

evaluation of SAUP Management Committee and to return it to PSAU upon retirement
or resignation from the service.
B. No renting out of the land to outsiders.
C. Protect the area from erosion or other forms of degradation.
D. All structures that will be constructed shall be approved by the SAUP Management
Committee. Upon termination of the contract, the structures will be transferred to
PSAU.

V. TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT
If the SECOND PARTY fail to renew this stewardship agreement after 10 years, this agreement
will be terminated. Renewal of stewardship will be 1 year before the termination of this
agreement.
