Work Method Statement

Purpose

The Purpose of this method is to explain the use of this material and how to apply.

The Use of this material is to Covers Air Bubble holes on the concrete surface and smoothen the
Surface.

Material Names:

1. MU 202

Surface to be SkimCoat:

1. Interior Concrete Slab, Beam & Column

2. Exterior Concrete Slab, Beam & Column

Application Method

A. Surface Preparation:
- All the Structural Defect Such As Joint Grinding, Honey Comb, Uneven Surface, Edges
Repair will be Done by the Other Contractors.

B. SkimCoat Application:
After All Structural Defects is done, Skimcoat Application will be Applied to Cover Air Bubble
On the Concrete Surface. Application will be done using a Hand Scraper and not using
Leveling Bar. Skimcoat application will not responsible for uneven surface. The thickness of
skimcoat will vary from 1mm – 3mm (Max). Thickness More Than 3mm might have a risk of
peeling off. For Mixing, drying time and other details Please refer to provided Technical
Data.

Working Procedure:

Working Procedure, Working Platform, Safety Issue and Scaffold Will be discuss separately with
Shimizu HSE team prior to start the work.

Cleaning After Works

Pelangi’s Workers Will have to Clean All the Material, Rubish and any remains that are caused by
Pelangi.
Safety Equipment

All Workers Shall Wear Personal Safety Equipment at all time during working and whenever they are
in the project area.

2. Safety Shoes

Working At Height:

1. Safety Belt

Working With Corrosive Material:

1. Gloves

Working With Spray Paint:

1. Safety Glass (Spray Paint)
