You are to complete this activity to make up for the pending criteria A, B, C or D of the third term. Every step of the
process needs to be completed; the work won’t be graded if any of the steps is missing.

Write a three-paragraph (400 and 500-words) problem/solution text answering the question:

BIG QUESTION: How does the state of California overcome the forest fire every Summer?

Step 1: The sources:

Look for three written and visual sources to be used as based for your research. It is compulsory to have at least two written
and one visual. All sources are to be written or spoken in English. Spanish written or Spoken sources are not allowed.

Step 2: Planning

Select each one of the sources following the guidelines studied during the term. Please remember to create your spider and
comprise the main ideas and supporting details taken from the source.
Step 3:

Write your Descriptive Text (300 words). Remember to have clear ideas and follow the steps given to write a paragraph
include topic sentence, details: explanations, examples and data (extracted from your sources) and conclusion.

Step 4: Drafting.

Write the first draft of your problem/solution text, follow the steps given with the information gather from the sources and
descriptive text, try and make as less grammatical mistakes as possible. Make sure all your paragraphs have the structure
studied in class.

Step 5: Deliver your final text

In a text of 400-500 words answer the Big Question given. Follow the steps provide to expose the problem and give possible
solutions.

We strongly recommend you study all the grammatical rules studied along the year (and years before) as a
preparation for the final assessment of this activity.
