This letter is in support of Holly McQueen for a position in your school. Holly is a unique individual who I
believe will offer a great deal to the teaching profession. In her time here at Kennesaw State, she has
demonstrated a high work ethic, a good grasp of the realities of education, and represents the type of student we
strive to send out into the community.

Throughout the two courses in which she has been a student of mine, Holly has displayed teaching skills, the
use of content knowledge, and communication skills in working with school aged youth. Each assignment,
lesson plan, or practicum teaching has been indicative of thoughtful insight, attention to detail, and common-
sense decision-making. Her lessons are practical, engaging, and appropriate for the diverse environments we
have worked with in Cobb County.

Holly has experience in creating and facilitating afterschool programming, curriculum development, outdoor
education, and teaching fitness-based activities. Given the current emphasis on reducing childhood obesity and
physical literacy, I feel that these experiences are timely and necessary to help build a learning environment that
places emphasis on a sound mind and body. To this end, Holly has been prepared to use the most up-to-date
technology in schools, including pedometers, doc cams, tablets, and data management software.

Holly’s ability to work with others and her motivation to achieve is evident. She has been a positive example for
her peers and the youth she works with. Further, she is a good student with incredible potential and a
demonstrated record of excellence in service, education, and teaching. As I end my comments, something else
about her should be mentioned: Holly is a caring, thoughtful, and respectful individual who has navigated
through a host of challenges in recent years with laser-focus intensity. She is ready to do great things. I
enthusiastically endorse her application without reservations. If you have any further questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me at bculp1@kennesaw.edu.

Respectfully yours,

Brian Culp, Ed.D.
