PRODUCT IDEA: “PetBreak”

NEED
 PetBreak is an automated cat door. The targets are for pet lovers especially for dog and
cats.
 Many owners are looking for its pet since it went out through it pet door without knowing.
 This product is to track the number of pet’s in’s and out’s in the house.
 In addition, this also prevents wild animals from entering your house.
 There are existing products that are too heavy for smaller animals as it has too many
functions. Such example is a Munchkin Cat, it is recommended to avoid stress in its neck
due to the cat’s physiology.

APPROACH
 The product is an automated pet door which has as RFID reader at both sides.
 The product also has a collar of the pets. These collars has RFID tags which can be
registered using the app provided in the owner’s phone.

  There are existing pet collars which are used for tracking one’s pet, and health
monitoring. However, these products are too expensive and too heavy. Providing an
alternative, the PetBreak proposes an automated pet door. This enables smaller pets to
avoid stress in its neck as the collar only contains RFID Tag in its nametag.

 Tracks the owner’s pet’s ins and outs of the house as the product sends notification to
the owner’s app in the phone
 Avoid wild animals from entering home for the safety of domestic pets.
 Notifies the owner whenever the pet uses and passes through the pet door.
 Determine which pet passes through with its registered RFID.
 Force lock feature to avoid pet going outside.

PRODUCT IDEA: “Smart Door Handle”

NEED
What problem/need is being addressed?
 Door handles are one of the dirtiest things at home, especially the doors which leads to
the outside environment.
 Covid-19 is now considered pandemic, which means that it is an epidemic occurring
worldwide.
 Door handles are one of the most touched things of many people.
 A Smart Door Handle is a self-sanitizing handle that can also record the number and
time of it being touched.
APPROACH
How the solution will be delivered
 The door handle automatically sanitize itself after being touched by a person through a
UVC light technology which effectively kill virus causing Covid-19. [1]
 Whenever the door handle is rotated, it will start to light up to sanitize itself. It also sends
data to the app whenever it is activated so that the owner of the house is aware.
 The notifications sent are optional if the door handle is being used by public.
 Uses internal sensors.
