“Learning is a continuous process”. It is essential for teachers to engage in trainings and workshops
to enhance teaching skills. The Department of Education has given the opportunity to educate and empower
all teachers in the country through technologies in 21st Century through Virtual Inset.
The program started with a prayer, followed by the singing of national anthem led by Araling
Panlipunan Department. An opening remark for the seminar was given by Mr. Chester Allan P. Matienzo,
Principal II. A short message from Mr. Rogelio O. Ladiero, Head Teacher III-MAPEH for Wellness
Program. A Zumba Challenge led by Sherly Mae A. Jamisola together with the MAPEH Teachers for an
energizer.
The Virtual INSET was held in the Principal Office. Director Abram Abanil (DepEd-ICTS) gave the
opening remarks about the updates on the changes in educational technologies.
Mr. Salvador Manansala from SDO Mandaluyong highlighted the accomplishment of DepEd TV
from the teacher-broadcasters, the affiliates, milestones, and the future planned.
Mr. Mark Anthony Papa discussed about the Deped Learning Management System. He introduced
the links to access the Deped Email Account to be utilize to other LMS.
Ms. Aprellene Marquez talked about the Deped Official Flatforms to access quality education. The
Deped Commons and its Open Education Resources (OERs) and its availability through different networks.
Mr. Sherwin Lomeda shared additional thoughts on OERs as well as the Readiness Training for Co-
facilitators.
Ms Rowena A. Reyes presented Google Certified Educator (GCE) as a program designed and
manage by Google. She introduced that G-suite is a Google workspace for teaching and learning process.
Mr. Mark Anthony F. Jamisal discussed about the Microsoft Education. He refreshed about the MS
Teams. This is one of the platforms of ETU to continue education. The ETUlay is also another platform for
learners and parents facilitated by expert educators. ETUlay is a free online tutorial platform for learners.
Mr. Mark Anthony C. Sy discussed ETU Future Programs of Deped to provide effective education
amidst pandemic. The Effective Delivery of Synchronous/Asynchronous Teaching.
