UNIT 3: WE HAD A GREAT TIME !

1 CONVERSATION The Weekend

Listen and Practice

Nadia : So, What did you do this weekend, Rully?

Rully : Oh, Gita and I went for a drive in the uptown on Saturday.
Nadia : that sounds nice. Where did you go?
Rully : We drove to the top of Umbul Sidomukti village then prepared for the paragliding.
We had a great time! How about you?
Did you do anything special?
Nadia : Not really. I just worked on my assignments all day long.
And that was really boring but I should finish it before the due date comes.
Rully : Why didn’t you just leave it for a while and get some fun?
Nadia : I think that is why we become a college student. There is no reason to complain.

WRITING IN ACTION !!
Read this postcard !

Dear Taufiq,
Greetings from Semarang! I’m having a great time! two
days ago, I took part in a competion which is so-called
traditional game festival. Sport Science Students’ Club of SSU
was the one that administered the competion. My team
became a second winner of rope pulling and it was an awesome
competition. I was really determined to win the game and we
got a pretty cool prize. That’s all for now.
Give my love to your family.
love ,
Rifani
