recreational facilities such as performing arts centers have not “Bahay na Bato”. Bahay na Bato is a Filipino architecture during
the Spanish colonial times. The aforementioned structure is still
evident in Pila, Laguna as most houses in the neighborhood
resemble those. To ensure its strength and to be able to last
longer, sturdier materials such as concrete will be used instead
of the usual wooden second floor level.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION
The proposed performing arts center is designed on the
vacant lot in Pila, Laguna as seen in the site data. Moreover,
the data was only gathered through online means as going
outside is restricted during the pandemic.
Also, the proposed design may or may not be applicable
with other locations as it is designed for the Municipality of Pila,
Laguna.
