LESSON PLAN

Subject: Christian Living Education 4


Grade & Section: 4 – Unity B
Date: March 18,2021 12:50-1:30PM

I. Objectives
At the end of the session, the students will be able to:
a) identify the Ten Commandments
b) create a poemster that shows putting God first in mind, hearts and actions
c) share ways on how to encourage others to obey the first commandment.

II. Enduring Understanding


God can be in our minds when we think of Him, so much so when we think good
for others too; We can put Him in our hearts by loving our neighbors constantly
and unconditionally just like how we love Him. Moreover, we can put Him first in
everything that we do by doing good to the lost, least and the last.

How do we put God first in our life?

VI. Teaching- Learning Activities


a. Opening Prayer

b. Preliminary Activities: Stating of learning targets and setting up expectations

c. Pre-assessment: Kahoot Game


Ask: 1. What is the law given by God to His people?
2. Do you still remember the 10 commandments?

The teacher will then have the review of the 10 commandments using the Kahoot
Game. After that, the teacher will lead them to focus on the First Commandment.

d. Motivation : Show the materials that will be used for the story telling
Ask: 1. How do you describe a rock?
2. How about the sand ?
3. What are the differences between the sand and the rock?
4. When you grow up someday, you wanted to build a house or a
home for your family, now where are you going to build it? Is it in a rocky
or sandy grounds?

Questions above are used to lead pupils to the Parable of the Two Builders
e. Presentation of the lesson:

STORYTELLING
The teacher will tell a story about the wise man and the foolish man.
Ask: 1. Who do you consider as the rock?
2. Who do you consider the greatest?
3. What lessons can we get from the story?
4. How can we put God in our hearts, minds and actions?

BREAK OUT ROOMS:


The class will be divided into pairs and will share about experiences.
Ask:
As a family, how did you overcome situations wherein you felt that your house is
built in the sand?

BIG GROUP SHARING


The pupils will then be asked to share to the class what was being shared by
pair.

f. Drills:
 STOP & REFLECT The teacher will ask the pupils to pause and think of
how can they put God first in their lives.
g. Closure: DJ SUMMARY!
The pupils are asked to write what they learned in the form of a favorite
song.

h. Purposeful assignment
Poemster- The pupils are asked to draw and create a poem about how to put
God in their thoughts, hearts and actions
i. Closing Prayer

*Values - Love of God
*Social Orientation – Pupils will be able to instill in their minds that well it’s true that
the things in the world are very dear to our hearts but we should not put anything
more important than God because when we stop seeing God as the first in our
hearts many things will start to change and instead of these giving us joy, the
opposite one might happen. So, we should make God as the most important One in
our life.
*Lesson across Discipline –
Social Studies – pupils put God first by doing some activities that show civic
efficacy.
