(5 minutes) o “This is a short video of ‘The Recycled Orchestra of Paraguay’ paying their recycled instruments.” o “What were the instruments made of? Materials?” o “What kind of instruments did they have?” -Student Actions o Students will be watching video and talking about the instruments. o This is meant to help them brainstorm what they want to make. Brainstorming/ -Teacher Actions Making o “Now I’m going to hand out a sheet where you can brainstorm your ideas.” Instruments o “I want you to draw your instrument and think about what materials you will use.” (40 minutes) o “Label your instrument and write what kind of instrument you are creating.” o “Remember it doesn’t have to play music!
