tools are seen around the house, while some are more specialized. Tool identification is
important, because using the right tool for a project makes a project much easier to build or
14
design. Using the wrong tools for a project can increase the amount of time and work you do
Even though we have ways to power tools, why are some manual tools being produced?
Differences between each tool and the scenarios in which they would be used.
How to identify what each tool is used for based on its design.
Learning activities/procedures:
Tools will be laid out in the shop. Students will be able to go and inspect each tool as necessary.
Summary/Closure/Review of Content:
Students will have learned to identify 50 tools visually and by their nomenclature. Students will
have general knowledge about how and why each tool is used.
