ACTIVITY 1: Answer in one word


In this pandemic situation you have a lot of time to read books or to watch a movie and you suppose to
tell your friend that you watched or read a great story and your friend asks what the story is. What
would you do? Would you tell the whole story? Or just simply give the gist of the story.

ACTIVITY 2: Summarizing nursery rhymes

Read each nursery rhyme and summarize it in as few words as possible. Be sure to include key
information, though. The first one is done for you.

1. The itsy bitsy spider


Climbed up the water spout.
Down came the rain and Summary:

Up came the sun and A spider climbed up a water spout and fell down, but it
got back up again.

Man is a social being. Every day, he/she interacts with others in the community. He meets
different persons in every necessity in order to survive. Students go to school and learn from their
teacher. Drivers pick up passengers. Vendors sell their merchandise to various costumers. An
individual encounters different people day in and day out. Thus a person should learn how to
mingle with others in positive ways so that people would establish healthy relationships among
themselves.
