Tasked: Read the sentences below. Use the sentences to
complete the web.

3. MOTIVATION
Tasked: Students will be group into three then they will arrange
the jumbled sentences to make the story logical.
Example:
1) When confronted with humans, piranhas’ first instinct is to flee,
not attack
2) Although most people consider piranhas to be quite dangerous,
they are, for the most part, entirely harmless.
3) If the fish are well-fed, they won’t bite humans.
4) Piranhas rarely feed on large animals; they eat smaller fish and
aquatic plants.
5) When confronted with humans, piranhas’ first instinct is to flee,
not attack.
6) Far more piranhas are eaten by people than people are eaten
by piranhas.

a. ACTIVITY
Tasked: The class will choose a topic and make a story about it. The
teacher will come up with the main idea. Then the first student will
add a supporting detail. The student can pass the paragraph to the
next student who will add another supporting detail, and so on.
b. ANALYSIS
o How did you come up with the details that support the
main idea?
o Are the ideas presented in a logical order?
o Does the paragraph tell a clear ending of the selection?
o As a student, do you think that writing effective paragraph
is important? Why yes or why not?
c. ABSTRACTION
Task: Students will answer the following questions.
What is paragraph?
A paragraph is a series of sentences that are organized and
coherent and are all related to a single topic.
It consists of a topic sentence that expresses the same thought
of the paragraph. This main thought should be discussed in a
greater detail that with supporting sentences.
d. APPLICATION
Task: They will compose a paragraph by writing the following
sentences using the given organizer.
A. Hawkers are people who move from one place to another and
sell their goods by shouting on the streets.
B. They work hard throughout the day.
C. They move on the street on their bicycle and sometimes on
foot and sell their products.
D. We can see hawkers everywhere.
E. They move everywhere selling their goods without caring
about the weather.
