Introduction

On 9th November 2020 , a program called Breakfast Talk was held. It was live directly
in Facebook Live at OfficialUMK facebook page. The talk was started at 10.00 a.m. Students
University of Malaysia Kelantan required to join the event. The talk was about Strategic
Enterpreneurship for Micro Beginner Company related on challenges and solutions by Dr.
Noor Raihani Zainol, a senior lecturer from Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business
University of Malaysia Kelantan and the invited guest is En. Ahmad Mukhlis Mahd Mayedi,
an owner and the entrepreneur of Tornado Café. The owner age is 31 years old from Negeri
Sembilan. En. Mukhlis is a husband to Dr. Shamriana binti Sidek which is also a lecturer in
University Of Malaysia Kelantan. He was a former graduate of Diploma and Degree in
Engineering Mechanical from UITM. He had experience working with Samsung S12 energy
Malaysia. In the talk, he said that RM60K were used to build the Tornado Café since 2019.

Tornado Café Company is a dessert café which is providing Hungarian traditional


dessert function with homemade soft serve ice cream. Hungarian traditional dessert known
as ‘ Kurfoscalac’ in Hungary and also called ‘ Chimney ‘ in USA. The ingredients are sweet
milk bread coated with sugar then baked until caramelized. To attract his customer he had
his own strategic entrepreneurship. The enterior and interior concept which they minimise
with simple dining concept with given a warm and house vibes. Besides, they also reduce
unnecessary and heavy accessories inside the café, in this point to give costumer focus
towards the desserts such as kurtoskalac not the ideation concept in the cafe.

Morever, he also doing the researching for 5 months to add his branch be like
specialist hipster café such as starbucks in Kelantan area. It is for him to the culture or how
the workers in café at Kelantan treat their customers. Then, he can use the idea for the
tornado opening soon in Kelantan. This will be an opportinity to expand the Tornado Café in
Kelantan which is not have many dessert café for their residents. Besides, he also got an
inspiration from the contacts in social media like Instagram for his café. So. he post the
bread and ice cream to tell the people about his sales. Not only that, he also explore the
Hungary dessert café and got found that dozens kilograms of flours to get the recipe. This
prove that En. Mukhlis brave to introduce this type of dessert from Hungary to Kelantan
market.
