Change Management:

It is the duty of everyone involved in the planning, approval, and execution of the work to
evaluate the need for a work permit for a particular work.

1. Maintenance order is create manually or automatically created through

maintenance plan scheduling & generate maintenance order number.
2. Maintenance order will release.
3. Permit to work PTW will enable or assign to order .
4. Creation of Permit by requester by giving date, time, working agency, owner agency, work
details etc.
5. Working agency will fill working person name & details in work permit.
6. Requester Agency will Requested the Permit for work.
7. Owner Agency will Approve & Issue work permit.
8. Working agency will accept work permit.
9. Requester Agency will handover the Permit to Working agency so, they can start work.
10. Working agency will return permit to Requester Agency after complete work.
11. Requester Agency will return accept of permit.
12. Owner Agency will accept return permit.
Workflow (Approval):

History:

In Tata Steel previously Permit are taken in Pen & paper that time permit process is take time and
they can edit and do back time permit in paper. Even paper permits are not visible to all.

But after implementing E-permit system they is responsible person for every permit who is
supervision on particular work.

Time is saved because of it is an electronic version.

Current Scenario:

Tata Steel Ltd is using E-permit by all plant (Jamshedpur, KPO, Mines area, Indore, & Maharashtra)
and its working fine.
