Engineering Thermodynamics is one of the mandatory
courses for all engineering students. Engineering
Thermodynamics is the root of all engineering especially
mechanical engineering. In this course, various kinds of
science are taught which are related to the machining cycles.
In Thermodynamics it is also taught about cycles of electric
power generation especially by steam power. The ability
obtained by students is knowledge of various engineering
cycles which is very useful and also becomes the basis for all
fields of engineering.
Mathematics is the basis of all sciences, especially
engineering. Mathematics has been introduced to students
from an early age because basically every subject and
discipline requires mathematics. In Mathematics, are taught
about the basic calculations that are definitely needed such
as algebra, algorithms, functions, and others. The ability
obtained by students is the ability to complete calculations
often found in engineering.
Engineering Drawings are compulsory courses for all
engineering students in the world. Engineering Drawing is
the language of communication in engineering. Engineering
Drawings also function as a bridge of application or
manufacturing from the designer to the manufacturing
process. In Engineering Drawing taught how to draw by
engineering standard using software. The ability of students
is to be able to make engineering drawing properly and
correctly
Electricity circuit is a course that studies about making roads
so electricity can flow
By learning this, students are expected to be able to:
1. Understand the concept of the circuit
 2. Understand series, parallel and mixed electrical
circuits
3. Understand Ohm's law, Faraday's law, Thevenin
Theory and Norton Theory
4. Understand the Star and Delta circuits
5. Able to do calculations by determining the boundary
point and the loop direction.
6. Can do various kinds of analysis, namely Node,
Supernode, Mesh, Supermesh, and superposition
analysis.

5 Islamic Education Islamic Education is one of the compulsory courses from the
state to be implemented in all universities in Indonesia with
a Muslim majority. By learning this, students are expected to
be able to:
1. Understand about fiqh, include prayer, worship,
muamalah, and nikah (marriage)
2. Understand about The history of Islamic civilization
and the glory of Islam at that time Bani Ummayyah
and Bani Abbasiyah
3. To know various kinds of community organizations
in Indonesia, and the history of their formation, to
increase tolerance among groups.
4. Understand how the position of customs, culture
and religious views in responding to it.

6 Civic education (PKn) Civic education (PKn) is a knowledge or study of the duties
and obligations of government as well as the rights and
obligations of a citizen. By learning this, students are
expected to be able to:
1. Is Expected that students can understand and carry
out their rights and obligations politely, honestly,
and democratically and sincerely as educated and
responsible citizens.
2. Aim at that students master and understand various
basic problems in social life, nation and state, and be
able to overcome them with critical and responsible
thinking based on Pancasila, Nusantara Insights, and
National Resilience.
3. So that students have attitudes and behaviors that
are in line with the values of struggle, love for the
motherland, and are willing to sacrifice for the
homeland and the nation.

7 English English is one of linguistic course that all the student in

Indonesian need to cope with because it is an international
language. In this subject we learn how to write, speak, and
 read in English. The goal in this subject is to be able
communicate using English in terms of speaking and writing.
At the second semester, English mainly focused on basic
writing and reading such as learning in variety kinds of text
and the grammar that used in the text. By studying English in
second semester we are able to communicate using English
and also we learn basic terms that used in energy
engineering.

8 Statistics Statistics is a branch study of applied mathematics which

consists of theories and methods on how to collect,
measure, classify, calculate, explain, synthesize, analyze, and
interpret data obtained systematically. The difference
between statistics in high school and college is how various
the data are and the more complicated calculation that
used. Studying statistics is very useful for engineering
because every kind of engineering have to deal with data in
their work. By studying statistics students can have skill in
how to interpret data more easily and systematically.

9 Engineering mechanics Engineering mechanics is the main field of science for the
behavior of structures or machinery against the loads that
acting on them. The general structural behavior is deflection
and forces (reaction forces and internal forces). The area
which includes the study of engineering mechanics in the
second semester are :
 Statics : study of stationary objects
 Dynamics : studies the effect of loads on the
movement of objects
By studying engineering mechanics we can estimate how
much load that can worked in every machine so that we can
understand the work of machine.
