I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
1. Identify and name sewing tools; and
2. Cite the use/s and function/s of each sewing tool.
A. Motivation
The teacher will post a table written on a cartolina. The table is divided into five
columns which contains the terms MEASURING TOOLS, CUTTING TOOLS,
MARKING TOOLS, PINNING & SEWING TOOL and MATERIALS in columns 1, 2,
3, 4 and 5 respectively. She will put pictures of examples of each category on the
table/desk. She will then call students to classify the examples as either measuring tools,
cutting tools, marking tools, pinning & sewing tool or materials. The student will post the
picture on the column in which they think the picture of the example belongs to. (The
table that the students completed is shown below.)
B. Lesson Proper
Teacher will process the activity given. She then corrects wrong responses by placing
the picture in the right column where it belongs. She will then ask the following
questions:
1. Have you seen any of the pictures in real life?

2. What do you think are these? Where do we use these materials shown by the
pictures?
C. Application
After discussing the names and uses of the different sewing tools, teacher will ask the
following questions?

Matching Type
