Austrian teenager travel report

Introduction

To help the company “Teenage Travel”, I decide to start a short survey in my class. I asked all of my
classmates about their travel reasons. I created a bar chart with the result. It shows travel reasons
compared to the frequency. I recognized a clearly different between male and female reasons to
travel. I also split the chart results in male and female bars.

Survey results

The survey revealed that most auf my classmates travel because of the fun and relaxing factor.
Relaxing is more important prior to see new places. Only a few students travel because of getting
knowledge. The big differents between male and female students are in relaxing and meet new
people. Almost 60% females like to meet new peole however males only 20%. 85% of males travel to
relax while only 60% of my females mates do.

TA1: well, Miss Mega, there are three kinds of seminar package that we think it’s suitable
with the seminar you are going to hold. First, we have the regular package which is contained
the regular items consisted of three-star hotel as the venue, lunch box, snack, and coffee
break. Second, we have the premium package which is consisted of four-star hotel as the
venue, lunch-buffet, snack, coffee break, and guest star. Then the last, we have the platinum
package consisted of five-star hotel as the venue, lunch buffet, snack, coffee break, guest star,
and a one-day tour to a place related with the seminar.
SC: hmm, all of them are good. What if you give a presentation in my office tomorrow at 9
o’clock? Because the other committee have to know about it.

Travel reasons

There are six main travel reasons I find out by doing the survey in my class:

 Fun and entertainment

 Break form everyday life
 Relaxation
 New places
 New people
 Knowledge
I think it’s almost the same in other classes or schools. Maybe pupils who don’t live in or near a
bigger city don’t to travel because of relaxing. I think they are more interested in saw new places and
meet new people.

My suggestions

My Suggestions in how to improve the current offers of ”Teenage Travel” are to lower the price and
present more different offers. A great offer would be a group journey which is adjusted for
teenagers. So you could lower the price and offer more opportunities on the journey.
