Success Brings Happiness

When I was eleven years old, I faced difficulties to get into a good high school. It was

very hard for me because there was much more pressure to study for the board exam, and also

for the admission test to be admitted into a good high school in my country. I have decided that I

will study hard and no matter what, I have to get good grades. I always tried my best to keep

myself busy to do my homework and study well. In that time, I did not take care of my health at

all, that’s why I was suffering a serious fever. I was admitted to the hospital and the doctor said I

have to be there at least a month, because I had a serious hemoglobin problem and high fever.

When I heard that, I was very upset because at the middle of the year I got sick so I was scared I

might not get enough time to be ready for those exams . The doctor said to me, “Don't panic, you

will be fine. Now, you have to be careful about your health.” But the time was very important for

me to be prepared for the exam but I was sick, I couldn't study so I was very angry at myself. My

mom noticed everything and she was encouraging me and she was helping me with my study. I

said to my mom, “Mom can you go to my school and talk to my teachers and my classmates and

get all my homework and let them know that I am sick so the teachers and friends can send me

everyday’s classwork .” I was worried that I was behind in the study than others. Next day, my

mom went to my school and speak to my teachers and friends. Everyone was willing to help me,

which I never thought, and it was heart touching moment for me. However, the person help me

the most is my mom. When I was in the hospital, those days she did not even sleep well. Those

entire nights she sat next to me because I might wake up and need anything middle of the sleep.

Day time, she was helping me with my study and totally prepared me for my exams. My mom

was with me like a shadow. Finally, I did the admission test and board exam. Both exams I got
very good grades. I feel very proud of myself and my mom because she was one because of her I

was able to do everything. I was very happy as a clam. It was the biggest challenge for me and I

go through this situation successfully because of my mom.

In addition, when I came to the United States my mom was still in my country. I was

missing her really badly. I was trying to stay strong and study hard because I have to fulfill my

mom’s dream. If I do not work hard then I will not get good grades which will make my mom a

failure because all her efforts and hard work will not be dignified. I want to make my mom

proud.

Therefore, now I noticed that hard-work and concentrate brings success and good results

for my future. So, now I can understand that hard-work never goes in vain always bring success

and happiness.
