Four example of projects from daily life are

-when a person goes for shopping, his primary aim is to buy what he buys? From where to buy? From
where to buy? How will he reach there? Will he be able to come back at the right time? And so on.

-A house wife when she gets up in the morning, she has in her mind a number of activities to be
performed. E.g. House is to be cleaned, clothes are to be washed, young children are to be helped in
getting ready for the school, breakfast is to be prepared, food is to be cooked and packed and handed
over to the children while they leave school and so on.

-Preparing for examination, what books to read? How to use time effectively before the exam time?
Look for exercise questions?

- Planning for holidays, create an outline what to do? Allocate budget, where to buy?

2.A project is temporary in that it has a defined beginning and end in time.

For example,

-The construction of a building must be delivered on time the organization needs its done according to
the time.

-The relief effort after a natural disaster occurs at a particular place. Since the peoples living in the area
need to back to normal life the project should be made in a defined time to make the people start to live
their normal life as fast as possible.

5.Resource allocation is the process of assigning and scheduling available resources in the most effective
and economical manner. Projects will always need resources and resources are scarce. The task
therefore lies with the project manager to determine the proper timing of those resources within the
project schedule.

6.A construction project has resources mainly labor, materials, and equipment.

-Labor can be categorized in to salaried staff and hourly workers. Salaried staff are individuals including
the project manager, superintendent, project engineer, secretary, an any other person who is tied to the
project. Hourly worker are individuals hired to perform a specific task or activity. Examples include
carpenters, masons, and so forth.

-Construction equipment and materials is used for the construction process but is not permanently
installed in the project. Examples of construction equipment are bulldozers, cranes. Examples of
construction materials are formwork materials and scaffolding.
