LNG501 Week 9 Task – Compulsory for all Students

You are all advised to start working on Assignment 2 from this week (if you haven't already).

I hope by now you got your topic and research question approved by your tutor - please message
them on Moodle and Email them with your topic toget it approved.

Your task for this week is to work on Part A of Assignment 2 - Written Submission TASK:

Follow the instructions given below:

1. Look for a credible, academic source (just 1 source and it can be any source; journal, website,
newspaper, book etc). and evaluate the source.

2. Identify the strengths & weaknesses of the source using the evaluation worksheet given on
Moodle (WEEK 7). Give examples from the source when mentioning the strengths & weaknesses
- just mention the paragraph number in bracket.

3. Once you are done evaluating the source, move on to your Research Question - Answer your
Research Question with relevant examples from the source to back up your argument.

4. Once you are done answering your Research Question, give your personal view or opinion on
the source that you have chosen - you can either agree or disagree with the chosen source but
you will need to provide relevant examples - you can give examples from other sources here to
prove your argument.

5. Make sure to provide in-text reference and full reference.

This is your task for this week - WEEK 9. Go through the lecture of Week 9 on Moodle and there
will also be another Supplementary Lecture added on Moodle soon explaining the instruction for
written and oral submission for Assignment 2.

Please start filling in the information in the Written Submission Document as attached in the
Week 8 and Week 9 Tab and also in the Assessment2 Folder. Just follow the instructions given
in the Written Submission Task for Assignment 2

Once you are done with the Written Submission Task, you can move on to Part B: Video
Presentation - follow the instructions given in the announcement section as well as the
assessment 2 tab on Moodle.
