The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley
was founded in 1893 by W.J. Price as a
Service Project
For our service project, we served

How to Help
Volunteers can serve a meal, take part in a
Super Saturday Work Day, work with and
babysit children, lead a craft/organizing
project, host a “Pop-Up Party”, teach/tutor,
and help with office work/reception.
The website has a form that every new
volunteer needs to fill out with the work they
are interested in helping with. They will
contact you with dates and times available.
Serve a Meal
Rescue Mission recommends serving a
meal to spend a small amount of time
and seeing first-hand how they change
lives and help the needy.
They serve three meals daily to clients
and breakfast and dinner to the public.
Volunteers can call 330-744-5485 to be
placed on their volunteer serving
schedule.
After this volunteer experience, we
realized how much help the Rescue
Mission gives to people. We realize
that the caring volunteers and staff
give their time to help hundreds of
people get back on their feet. They
help give people a second chance to
change their lives.
We were inspired by their devotion to
helping others. People can also donate
to the Rescue Mission if they don’t
have time to volunteer.
