This document contains instructions for three wave and optics experiments assigned to a student named Cyril Baua. It provides the procedures for making waves in a basin of water by dipping fingers and a ruler in and out, and observing how a toy boat moves as waves are created. The teacher's name is Gerardo Edillo and they provide their contact information and instructions for students to complete the experiments individually and upload their answers.

EXPERIMENT 1 “ Making Waves”
Procedure: 1. Get a basin of water. Place it on top of a table. Wait until the water is still. Then, dip your finger up and down repeatedly in the water. What happens to the water surface? Describe what forms on the water surface - While dipping my fingers repeatedly, and my fingers pushes water out of the way, I observe that in the surface of the water, the water has nowhere to go but to the side and up, creating a circular peak around my fingers, there are small waves form. These waves formed while doing the experiment is called ripple effect. 2. Get a ruler. Dip it in water horizontally with an up and down motion. Watch what happens. - When I dipped the ruler in water horizontally with an up and down motion the ruler seems to bend, and the image of the rulers appears to be broken. 3. Make a toy boat out of wax paper or any plastic toy that floats. Let it float in water. Observe the motion as you dip your finger up-and-down in water. Describe the motion of the toy boat. - The toy duck follows the motion of the wave. It moves around the ripple formed as I dipped my fingers up and down.
