REPORT ON DISPLACEMENT STRATEGIES FOR REMOVED OBSTRUCTION

(Pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular 2020-027 and 2020-145)

I. DISPLACEMENT STRATEGY:

 In compliance with the DILG Memorandum Circular 121-2019 issued in line with the
President’s order in his fourth State-of-the-Nation Address for the clearing of roads nationwide
issued on July 29, 2019 and DILG Memorandum Circular 2020-027 Road clearing 2.0 w/c
includes the clearing of local and tertiary roads, the Municipality of Gamu conducted road
inventory and information/dissemination. After inventory and areas were identified, the LGU
held a meeting with all concern departments including barangay officials to develop a
displacement strategy to be implemented for those affected by road clearing. After some
discussion and recommendation a list of displacement strategies has been made and being
implemented.

II. DISPLACEMENT STRATEGIES BEING IMPLIMENTED:

A. FOR DISPLACED VENDORS:

 Displaced vendors along Maharlika highway have been temporary relocated to a

rentable private lot located in front of St. Michael Church.
 Mabini Community Center being used as a temporary market every Friday.

B. FOR DISPLACED PARK VEHICLES:

 Displaced parked Vehicle in every barangay have been transferred to Barangay

Community Center parking area.
 LGU established tricycle terminal in front of Gamu Municipal Hall for displaced
tricycle terminal.

C. FOR OBSTRUCTING STRUCTURES:

 Dialogue were made between the concerned owner of structures in order for them
to understand the concept and purpose of ROAD CLEARING OF ILLEGAL
STRUCTURES with existing memorandum circulars issued by national
agencies for immediate compliance by all LGU’s concerned.
