The bar chart represents per centum of various sports played by males and females

in New Zealand in 2002.

Overall, the widely and least played game by girls is netball and cricket respectively,
whereas, boys more likely play soccer. It can also be seen that males refrain from
playing netball.

Talking about girl’s participation, netball is titled as the most prevalent sport,
followed by swimming, the second commonly played game with 3% deduction .Then
comes the other sports at exact 10%. Moreover, there is a marginal difference of
nearly 1% between tennis and basketball playing. The uncommon sports among girls
include cricket as well as martial arts with less than 5% participation.

In contrast, the graph shows the highest percentages of boys who plays soccer, at
around 24%, followed by other sports around 18%. Then comes swimming the third
commonly enjoyed sport at the approximate percentage of 13%. The degree of
participation remains almost same in basketball and tennis at nearly 10%. Notably,
just about 10% cricket is played by boys and the least played sports are netball and
athletics around 1% and 4% involvement respectively.
